The wach started malfunctioning after 2 years of the purchase. I use the watch to track my runs. but after 2 years of use, it started to malfuinction. the GPS was show me the wrong distances. when I went to service/repair chats, they asked me number of questions and asked me to reset the watch. asked me to update the apps of the wach, and asked… Read more

me that whether I have evidence to show that it malfunctions. none of them resoved my issue.

finally when I walked to a service center after booking a service They wanted a payment to check the watch saying it too long after purchase.

NEVER BUY SAMSUNG WATCHES as they can malfuntion after about two years.(specially if you need to track you runs)

This happened to me with my Samsung Galaxy watch as well. the Heart rate sensor was malfuntioning after about two years.

See the below 10km run shows the wrong distance. :|

I used to buy lots of Samsung products for the last 12 years. I will not buy any Samsung devices as their after sales service is very poor now.(it used to be very good)

Smartwatch has serious problems for cycling – 2 days between charges isn't too bad I guess. I see Garmin watches that will go 11 to 14 days between charges. OK, the things that are actually annoying: 1. Having to cancel tracking a bike ride on Samsung Health activity to use Samsung Pay (NFC) - having to use my phone in its place (1st world problem I realise). 2. Having to stop and restart an… Read more

activity in Samsung Health app when my phone doesn't sync with my watch to get heart rate functionality. 3. Having to pay for watch faces... they used to come with the watch (haha). 4. Being unable to see the time when the watch is displaying heart rate on the screen - font too small for older eyes. 5. Heart rate is only available to Samsung Health so when I ride my bicycle I run the bike app for power, cadence etc and can't have my heartrate on the same screen. Samsung Health doesn't play nice with my bike app gps and has a terrible interface for cyclists so it means I go without the heart rate data... Pretty much the last useful feature (except for maybe blood-oxygen sensing) Edit 10May25: The watch face changed yesterday. It is now a bright washed out look that is quite difficult to read. Now I see that Samsung warranty is only 12 months on this watch so that's $850 down the gurgler 6 months out of warranty. You'd have to be as stupid as me to buy one of these watches!

Great Watch. Poor quality and terrible customer service – Bought this watch brand new from the official Samsung website. Watch was working fine for the first few months - than suddenly stopped charging. Had the watch checked out by the Samsung Service Centre -> advised that they could not fix the watch as they didn't have the necessary parts. Contacted Samsung to have this issue resolved and even… Read more

contacted the CEO's office in Sydney.

Received a generic response from both Customer Service and the CEO's office -> in fact that CEO's office have not responded to subsequent emails.

Claim to not have a replacement watch available for me -> yet they are still selling the watch of the same website I purchased the watch from.

Poor service, poor customer resolutions and even worse the head office here in Australia ignores customers.

Seems like Samsung take your money and forget about the aftercare service.

Galaxy Watch 5 Pro: The Ultimate Smartwatch for Google Wear OS 3 Fans? – The Galaxy Watch 5 Pro is an impressive smartwatch that offers a variety of features and functions designed to enhance the user's experience. Its lightweight titanium casing is both stylish and comfortable to wear, while the sapphire glass AMOLED display provides a clear and vibrant view of the watch face. Additionally, the battery life is large… Read more ·  1

enough for most users, and the support for Google Wear OS 3 apps is a major advantage.

One of the standout features of the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro is its titanium casing, which makes it one of the lightest smartwatches on the market. The casing is not only lightweight but also stylish, with a sleek and modern design that is sure to appeal to many users. The watch's strap is made of silicone, which adds to its overall comfort and wearability, especially during extended periods of use.

Another impressive feature of the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro is its sapphire glass AMOLED display. The display is bright and vibrant, with deep blacks and rich colors that make it easy to read even in bright sunlight. The sapphire glass adds an extra layer of protection, making the watch more durable and resistant to scratches and cracks.

The battery life of the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro is also impressive, with most users being able to get two days of use on a single charge. This is a significant advantage, as it means that the watch can be used for extended periods without needing to be recharged. Heavy users may need to recharge the watch more frequently, but the quick charging feature means that just a few minutes of charging can provide a full day's use.

The Galaxy Watch 5 Pro also supports Google Wear OS 3 apps, which is a major advantage for users who want to customize their smartwatch's functionality to meet their individual needs. The watch also features Samsung's Tizen operating system, which offers a smooth and user-friendly experience for users who are not familiar with Wear OS. The watch can be used to access a wide range of apps, from health and fitness trackers to messaging and social media platforms.

However, there are also some downsides to the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro that users should consider before purchasing. One of the main drawbacks is the limited and manual GPX process. GPX files are a common format used for storing GPS data, which is useful for outdoor enthusiasts and athletes who want to track their routes and progress. Unfortunately, the GPX process on the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro is not as automatic as on some other smartwatches, which may make it less convenient for some users.

Additionally, the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro does not currently support skin temperature monitoring, which is a feature that some users may find useful for tracking their health and wellness. While skin temperature monitoring is not essential for all users, it may be a significant omission for those who prioritize this feature.

Finally, the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro does not currently support blood pressure monitoring in the US. While this feature may be available in other countries, it is not yet approved for use in the US, which may be disappointing for users who were hoping to use their smartwatch to monitor their blood pressure.

Overall, the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro is an excellent smartwatch with many impressive features and functions. Its lightweight titanium casing, sapphire glass AMOLED display, and long battery life make it an excellent choice for users who are looking for a comfortable and reliable smartwatch. The support for Google Wear OS 3 apps is also a significant advantage, although the limited GPX process, lack of skin temperature monitoring, and absence of blood pressure monitoring in the US are important factors to consider when deciding whether this smartwatch is right for you.

Best smart watch ever – Great battery life, I can walk the dog and listen to Spotify without having to carry a phone around. The ECG and blood pressure monitors work surprisingly well. Google assistant is an added bonus. Show details ·  1

Battery Life

Finally a Galaxy watch with a battery – This is my 4th Galaxy watch, and how refreshing to FINALLY have a half decent battery life! The battery runs for 80hours, meaning you only have to charge it twice a week. Not sure why they always have to include the GPS (which I don't use) maybe then the battery would be even better? The Pro is very nice to look at, with a crisp screen, nice… Read more ·  2

silver (fixed) bezel on black case, and regular watch horns and pusher buttons on one side. The display is very good, and the font size is adjustable. Pictures look decent and you can fit quite a bit of text on one screen. Making calls, payments, message replies from the wrist is a breeze. UPDATE I should add that the BT seems markedly improved - with fully automated connection and increased range. I can now go anywhere in my house and stay connected by BT to my phone. The HR function remains average though. Testing the HR tracking during workouts, it can be way off in readings for a few minutes before coming good. About 85% of my workout was accurate when compared to my separate chest strap readout. On occasion when resting the HR will read double my actual HR, saying 110bpm when it should say 55bpm. However, the BP function seems to be improved (over Watch3), giving consistent and more accurate results after calibration via phone and by comparison to a real BP cuff device. Notifications and Apps are largely unchanged. The new Wear OS seems to work well. Like most Galaxy watches it has very low weight, and the silicon rubber strap with tang buckle is comfy and easy to use, you can still change the band without tools which is great. Samsung Health is a bit painful. with other watches I just press "start training" and it records everything, but the Samsung seems to need me to tell it every exercise I do- this is painful and not what I want. All up the watch functionality is marginally improved over Watch3 (I cannot speak for Watch4) but it's the battery life and better screen that makes it worth the $$$. But only just.
