This watch keeps freezing. Have had it back to repairer 3 times. They say updated the software then test but I check for updates every day. I have to reboot. Repairer just keep saying they update software and test. Im very unhappy and have gone back to a regular analogue watch and basic pedometre. Show details
Glad I upgraded to a Galaxy 6 – Liking my new Galaxy 6 watch. The features are great, I am happy with the Battery life. It's light weight on my arm I can hardly feel it. One thing I would like is more options in the watch faces available for it. More old style options would be good. Otherwise I like it a lot. Show reply
Battery life is horrendous! – Battery life is horrendous for what could've been a great watch. Get rid of the bloatware I don't need or will ever use. Show details
Attractive and Amazing Piece of Technology, But What is it For? – It is over six years since I last had a smart watch, and when the Galaxy Watch 6 came on special, I decided to give it a try. This is a very good looking piece of technology. It mates magnetically to a wireless charging cradle with a USB C connector. Using a 20W PD adaptor, it charged to 100% very quickly. Strangely, it refuses to charge from my… Read more · 1
laptop’s dual USB C PD ports, for no good reason that I can see. So your experience may vary depending on what sort of charger you use, and Samsung do not provide one nor make any recommendation. I charge the battery every morning and it would not last two days.
Once charged, connection to my Z Flip 3 was very easy. The Samsung Wear app found the Watch6 and it was a matter of just following the prompts. The watch is very neat looking without being at all flashy. The face is a smooth gloss black along with the bezel, while the band is a low-sheen dark gray plastic. The face looks as though it would scratch easily, so I’ll be taking care not to knock it against anything.
Depending on what you want to do with it, you swipe the face in one of four directions. You can also swipe around the edge of the bezel clockwise or anticlockwise to access submenu functions. I was able to add Google Wallet from my phone on the second try. The weather widget works fine. I was able to make and receive phone calls at once. Txt messages are easily read and there is a large number of premade replies. You can use the tiny keyboard and it works well considering the size of it but I would rather reply on the phone. They say you can store music on the watch and listen to music or watch videos, although there is no mention of what storage is on board or how to do this. I don’t think I’ll try saving media to the watch.
I was hoping to use the Watch 6 as a step counter to track my walks, and possibly some of the other health related functions such as sleep monitoring as well. But the step counter is hopelessly inaccurate, giving a count roughly double what it should. For me this throws the whole value of using it to monitor health into question.
If you just want a device to tell the time, get notifications, answer calls and txts and make contactless payments, the Watch 6 is a great piece of technology, if you can get it to charge. If health monitoring is important to you, I wouldn’t recommend it.
Useful and comfortable – I got this watch as part of a promotion with my S24. I'm really pleased with this watch. It is a good size for my wrist, is comfortable and easy to use. The screen is customisable - you can download other faces and choose what info to include. I find the sleep and activity tracking really useful and the ability to see texts, notifications and… Read more · 1
phone calls is fantastic for when your phone is out of reach.
The battery lasts between one and two days on a single charge and it charges very quickly.
It is not reliable when it comes to answering phone calls and it often interferes with the Bluetooth phone function on the stereo in my car.
Pretty good experience for the price – Firstly I bought this on Catch for under AU$276 so it's very good value. It shipped from China and the seller was excellent. The good - pretty happy with the features, especially the Skeletal Muscle and Body Fat measurements. Exercise tracking, heart rate monitoring, ECG, sleep tracking & coaching have all been useful. It's easy to add Apps and… Read more · 1
personalise the watch face to my liking. Setup was very easy.
The less good - this is a much bulkier watch than the Galaxy Active 2 I had earlier, and it's quite big for my thin wrist. Where the band joins the watch is very clunky, adding to the size. Battery life is still a bit poor - I put it on battery saving mode most of the time so that it lasts 2 days.
Overall I'm still pretty happy with it given the price I paid. I would NOT have bought it at $549 though.
Magnificent – The strap for my galaxy watch 6 classic looks awesome and the style looks as if it will be comfortable. I just need the connectors now. 5 star rating Show reply
Bad experience – Got this watch on monthly contract with telecommunications company specifically for hard fall detection. Worked ok for few months then it sent hard fall message to my contact when I was sitting on the couch. Wouldn't let me press the hang up button, I had to turn the watch off. Every time I turned it on the same thing happened. I ended up getting my contract cancelled and returned the watch. Very stressful experience

Marking Work Time as Sleep – I have really enjoyed using this watch, but it has started marking some of my work time as sleep periods, particularly if I am reading documentation. I work from home, and this could be very damaging as the watch is listing a couple of "sleeps" some days. I don't always have time stamped evidence showing I was working, so I am reluctant to wear the watch to the office in case someone sees this. Show details · 1
Massive disappointment – Very disappointed. Will not do much apart from count steps. Sleep tracking is a joke - all it tells me is how many hours I slept, can look at the clock and do that! I want to monitor quality of sleep with accurate sleep times. What is the point of just typing in your estimate of sleep hours? Won't measure blood oxygen, stress, heart rate -… Read more
nothing! My wrists a very small and bony which seems to be a major problem. Every time I attempt to measure something it keeps telling me to move my watch higher up my wrist - any further and it'd be around my elbow. Apps are pointless. Will vibrate when I get a notification but I can't look at messages or reply, nothing. The Wear app is totally pointless and the health app equally useless. Seems like I spent a lot of money for a glorified 1980's digital watch.

It's the battery, mate! – It's the battery mate! My God, why bundle a fantastic bunch of features into a good looking watch then saddle it with a battery life so short? The fact is, I can't be bothered keeping up the routine of daily charging just so I can tell the time and count my steps. Too hard and severely disappointing in a product that is NOT CHEAP. Samsung really… Read more
needs to invest in some heavy duty R&D to find a way to extend the life of the battery charge. If they did, I'd give the product 5 stars. As it is , its quite limited in a weekly routine. I've now swapped back to Fitbit , whom I had previously had some quality concerns with and guess what? Fitbit have got their act together if you ask me and battery life is excellent!
