Was never good – Was never good, issues finding way back to charger, then after a year never made it back to charger, now has a bumper sensor issue.... It was $600 and lasted less then 3 years which is pretty poor considering most searches say quality robot vacume should last 5+ years Samsung won't help in any way at all not offer assessment, replacement or a reasonable discount on replacement. Don't buy any Samsung vacume ever.... Show details

Product needs much more development – An expensive product that hasn’t really been perfected. It never got back to it's dock and really you need an empty space for it to function anywhere near effectively. Used it on both hard and carpeted floors. Show details

Much better than I was expecting – I bought this 2nd hand so might not be as happy if I had paid loads. Excellent cleaning. Have to empty bin a lot because I have pets but don't care. Also, don't expect fantastic programming. I am happy to fetch & empty if it doesn't make it home. Show details ·  1

Very poor quality of design and short life for an expensive product – Very disappointed in this product, the movement in the wheel assembly when picking up the unit sees the power loom to the drive motors break within about 30 months after purchase, they last just long enough to be out of warranty, the repair people tell me the wires breaking is exceptionally common in this model, to get a new wire loom you have to… Read more

buy a whole motor assembly, Samsung would be well aware of this problem and continue to make them with this fault, the loom with only eight wires should be a $5 part. We used it in our home on a weekly basis, mostly a wooden floor with a bit of carpet, as a cleaner it works well, they just don't last for very long and at $1200 it should have. We also have LG brands and they are still going after 15 years although have required a new battery.

Samsung will not honor Warranty! – Bought this unit less than 2 years ago and I can honestly say I love it to bits! Does what it needs to do. I only use it once a week upstairs (wooden floorboards) and clean it after each use. Take very good care of it. 1st problem one end of the roller brush starts to break off. Samsung repaired under warranty nice and quick. 2nd problem,… Read more

yellow clip on cover that holds roller in breaks. Again, quick service and unit returns. Use it twice from return and notice the roller is making a squeaky noise. Clean unit to notice other end of roller brush has broken and stuck in its hold position. Samsung are now claiming physical damage and won't repair it! This is totally unfair as I have taken very good care of the unit (as I love it) and I can't help but feel sad and disappointed by Samsung. I have never had a problem in the past with them, nor anyone! They are offering 20% off discount only. I get a better discount on my own! It's still under warranty, had 3 problems and yet there is nothing they can do? And.....I just found out too that this unit is no longer available.....is it maybe because there were problems with it? I will be taking this to fair trading.

Samsung Powerbot VR20M7070WS – None of us enjoy vacuuming the floor with a conventional cleaner. I didn't consider that the early robot cleaners were going to be very effective, as they were nothing more than glorified sweepers. Now that there are a lot of true vacuum robot cleaners on the market, I felt that it was time to give one a try. When I spotted one of these Samsung… Read more

robots at a good price, my decision was made.

Setting the cleaner up was easy & once connected to my wifi network, I can control it from my smart phone & Google home speakers. Of course, it also has it's own remote control. The suction is good & combined with the rotating silicon rubber brush picks up most bits of 'stuff' that we drop about our homes. The dust container is easy to empty & the foam rubber filter is easy to clean under a tap. 2 filters are supplied with the vacuum, so I rotate them after each clean, allowing the just washed filter to dry between uses. The cleaner uses built in cameras to map the rooms & is programmed to try to clean all areas in a logical way, rather than some other cleaners which simply clean areas at random. There are also proximity detectors built in, which reduce the number of collisions with furniture, obstructions etc. These generally work well, but it still occasionally hits some obstructions (some cleaners hit all obstructions, before stopping & changing direction). The rotating brush can get caught on some obstructions such as pieces of clothing (socks, underwear, towels), tassels on rugs, thin floor mats etc. so I try to pick these up before I start the vacuum. If the vacuum gets stuck, it will turn off & wait for you to remove the obstruction. The vacuum also has an 'Edge' mode, which allows it to clean closer & more effectively along skirting boards etc.

The vacuum automatically senses carpet or hard floors & reduces power on hard floors, to save power. My home a large 2 bedroom unit has mostly carpetted floors, barring bathrooms & kitchen. On mostly carpet the vacuum lasts about 50 minutes on a full charge. When the vacuum starts to run low on power, it will try to return to the charging dock for charging. Once it has charged it will resume vacuuming. Occasionally, it will fail to find the charging dock & simply run out of power. It is easy to pick it up & put it on the dock to charge.

I am happy with the Powerbot & would recommend it. It doesn't totally replace a conventional vacuum cleaner & I still do a regular vacuum about once a month, for a 'deeper' clean.

Works extremely well – We have had several robot vacuums over the years, and this is as good (and in some ways better) than the best one we previously had (a Neato). Firstly, if you have carpet then this type of vacuum cleaner simply won't do a particularly good job. Robot vacuums just don't have anywhere near the suction power of a good plugin vacuum cleaner. … Read more

However if like me you have hard floors (tiles / timber), then suction power is not so important and this sort of machine can work really well.

One of the most important features for robot vacuums is their navigation, and this Samsung can navigate around our house with no issues. It cleans in a logical pattern and always finds it's way back to base.

It picks up plenty of dirt, cleans edges and corners really well, and will run for about an hour on a charge.

It's a bit noisy, but no more so than an ordinary vacuum. It is easy to empty and clean the dust container, and the brush underneath is also easy to remove. It is a bit tricky to clean hair out of the brush (Samsung claims it is self cleaning - it isn't).

Overall I am extremely satisfied with this machine and would thoroughly recommend it (for hard floors).

Does a reasonable job on laminate floors and a reasonable workhorse but not brilliant – This is the most helpful review here for people considering this samsung or any robot vacuum. One HUGE thing you should consider when buying ANY robotic vaccum cleaner is COST OF REPLACEMENT BATTERIES. Like mobile phone batteries they don't last forever and can be expensive. To replace this one you're up for $250 for a battery. Now I live… Read more

in a 2 bedroom hardwood floor apartment and it's really starting to go now after 2 years. Some people had it last less than that and a Neato robovac battery only lasts 9 months !! No aftermarket replacements available either.

This should be factored into your decision! It's like printers, they sell you the printer for $40 and you think what a bargain, but then the cartridges to replace cost more than the printer. When looking to buy a robot vac, check ebay first to see if there are aftermarket batteries available for that model. Some of the aftermarket version are high capacity as well and better than the originals.

I've had this since model since 2018, replacing an old samsung navitbot from 2010. It's certainly a level up from that old thing but there are some issues.

1. Make sure you keep the cameras wiped and top and sides wiped clean or else it has issues finding it's way around and back to base. 2. It will always bump into anything black (it cannot see black.) 3. It's dust hopper is fairly small, expect to clean it out usually after ever few goes, depending. 4. It's one of the better vacuum robots value for money wise, get it on special though. 5. It's useless in the dark, if you're having issues finding it's way back to base that's likely the reason why or it's cameras are dirty. It uses cameras instead of lasers (which do work in dark but have the bad effect of getting lost if you move a chair.)

It cleans quite effectively but if I could rewind time I'd look for another one rather than buy this because I would want one where I can buy cheap replacement aftermarket batteries instead of being slugged for a new Samsung OEM battery.

If this one had aftermarket batteries available for it so make the consumables cheaper for it, I'd rate it an extra star as value for money would kick in.

Not worth the money I paid for it – Bought this vacuum just under 12 months and it's going back for a 3rd repair. It was working Ok for a while but never was able to clean the whole house... the re-charge and resume function would stop after second re-charge which would often leave rooms half cleaned. In addition, suction stopped after about 6 months and was fixed, but the re-charge… Read more

and resume was still the issue. And as it was getting close to 12 months it would no longer pick up dog hair (would leave a trail of hair behind it). And it's app interface is useless... gives you nothing to work with even though you are supposed to see how its tracking while cleaning. Used to have a much cheaper but smarted bot vacuum before this one and was only half the price. Disappointed with Samsung product.

Totally worth it! – We have vinyl plank flooring throughout the house with 3 heavy shedding dogs and two long haired cats that drop hair EVERYWHERE and this vacuum handles it no worries. use (once every 1-3 days) and it does a calculated and thorough cleaning. It works very well on flat and carpeted surfaces, though it can have trouble traversing onto light rugs/mats as it will catch on the edges, I usually just remove the mats before the cleaning starts. I would recommend this vacuum as a great supplement to a more thorough vacuuming, especially if you have dust allergies.

of the dust cannister means that I can only run it through one room at a time before emptying and recharging, but that's really no drama considering the good job it's doing and the amount of work it's saving me. We have two large and two medium sized rooms, all with carpet. It's of moderate weight, easy enough to pick up and move to the room I want cleaned, but also quite easy to maneuver using the manual controls on the remote. Once in the room I want cleaned, I just set it to auto and let it go (best results if you move chairs, small tables etc and any loose items on the floor (like shoes) into another room first and then close the door(s) to enclose the space being cleaned). It is quieter than a regular vacuum cleaner, and it's quite possible to watch TV while it's running in the same room.
