Excellent vacuum cleaner – Perfect for floor boards, tiles, laminate & short-to-medium pile carpets. Have it for 6 years and still works and handles like day one. Had a pet hair extension too. Highly recommend it. Show details · 1
Using since 2013 – Excellent suction power, lifts the carpet right off the floor, great for pets (got 2 cats 1 dog) and comes with easy to clean filters and surprisingly very long life - bought it since mid 2013 and still going strong in 2017! Shame with the discontinuation of the vacuum I can't get new filter parts now if I have to. Best and only vacuum I've had so… Read more · 1
far, believe me the branding or price of other elite vacuums my friends have don't even come close to my little Sammy vacuum.
It lasted two days and died – I purchased a sc4790 from Samsung and after two days it had to be replaced. Then 8 months later the same thing happened again. The Good Guys,Booval where I bought it refuse to even except it to have it fixed even it has a 4 year warranty. Shame on them!
Great vacuum at a good price – I've been using this vacuum cleaner for about 6 months now after our previous one died (some special I got on a website which lasted about 18 months until a housemate didn't empty it and the motor burned out). This samsung unit is awesome, the petbrush removes hair you can't see, and the unti maintains good suction throughout cleaning. I… Read more
usually clean the filters every 2-3 vacuums to keep the suction high. My only gripe would be that the method of securing the pet head brush inside the head is a little poor, as sometimes if you hit furniture with the head the attachment points fall out - nothing a little tape hasn't fixed.
Pick up with an extended warranty and you should be right for some long-term vacuuming :)
It sucks! – Ive got a dyson upright which I looove. I've recently been interstate, renting a furnished Second vac which turned up a week before we left was a sc4780. Was brand new and I can't comment on its durability but the suck was v v v impressive. So much so that you really had to push hard to move it across the carpet. Loads of dirt was sucked up, pile… Read more
on the carpet was visibly raised. I was a little concerned about the plastic tube as it seemed a bit flimsy. It twisted on itself quite easily (result - suction stopped, machine stopped and had to wait for it to cool - I think as it has an auto turn of ?) But still, I don't know if you've got this already but it really sucked sucked sucked!!! So my conclusion, if you want a cheap vac for good suction RUN and get this one. Having read the other reviews where this machine broke and the folks were really pxxxxx maybe think of getting one of those double your warrantees at point of purchase and ask how the retailer handles problems. Bottom line is, manufactures build low cost machines to last a limited time so we have to buy replacements (and add to landfill) Hopefully not so when you pay top dollar for Dyson which I have really enjoyed owning and touch wood I will still be using in 10 years. I'd be interested to learn how long the Samsungs last from others and having used for only a week don't know how often filters needed rinsing. Again it sucks Tube v lightweight concern about duribility
Excellent Quality & Value For The Price – Like all Samsung product you cant go wrong if you purchase this little Gem. The suction is excellent and the filters are very easy to clean and you just wash the main filter out like a Dyson every now and then, unlike the Volta that it replaced which cost huge amounts when filters had to cleaned out after every vacuum and replaced every 3 months.… Read more
Love the remote control handle that you usually only find on some more expensive machines.Machine is a great size for a small to medium place and its compact size is great for storage. Tools on this machine are a little smaller than normal ones though this is great if you have smaller and more crammed spaces to vacuum and is far more convenient. The Pet Head does a wonderful job though the only gripe is its harder to push around than one of my previous Turbo Heads. Quality for the Price, Suction Power, Filters, Remote Control Handle and Size of Machine Pet Head is alot harder to push around than other Turbo Heads
Nice Vac – Bought this vacuum from the good guys after venturing over to godfreys where they tried to sell us a very expensive vacuum. All we really wanted from a vacuum was that it removed dirt from the floor and this samsung vacuum works extremely well for the price we paid. Had it for over a year now and it has had no problems - still looks like new and… Read more · 1
vacuums the same as the day we got it. Only once has it seemed to have lost suction but I turned it off and then on again and full suction began again. Great bagless, we are probably a bit lazy and don't empty it everytime we use it but it has never affected it yet. Inexpensive, reliable, nice size and stores away in small space, good suction Once lost suction - but came back on again.
Very Impressive, I would totally recommend this little guy – Had been looking for a vacuum for a while now but have gotten annoyed that most of the canisters dont have a brush head. In the US, everyone has uprights but here in Australia, its not the case. Saw this little guy at the Good Guys and reluctantly purchased it as it was one of the less expensive ones there. Boy what a great purchase! I came home… Read more · 1
and immediately vacuumed the entire house and found how much dust was still in my carpets from the previous machine. The pet brush roll that was included on the 4790 really did wonders as it picked up my girlfriends hair that the other machine missed. Easy to remove it and clean it. A lot of suction and very small, I would be surprised if you didnt enjoy it as much as I have. I cant attest to the reliability of it compared to the other reviewers, but it feels like a high quality machine that should last longer than some other cheap models I saw at the store. Inexpensive, Brush Roll, Power, Ease of Use with electronic controls on handle The container did fill up fast as it is a smaller machine but not a huge issue as i was happy to see all the dirt come out of my carpet.
You get what you pay for – Purchased this because it was a handy size and my previous Samsung vaccum did a great job. Paid $130.00 at a good guys store. I must say the vaccum was not too bad nut the chord was too short and the vaccum pie it self was a bit shorter than the other models. Less than two months the motor went up in smoke and i had to do the ru around to get repaired under warranty Size and portability Worked only for month and a half
What a bargain! – I bought this little vac from the The Good Guys for $149 after my 2005 model Dyson died. 'Yes a Dyson'. It's got the best suction power of any vac I've had and I especially love the operating controls on the handle. (Plus + and Minus - suction control.) It's well built and and easy to open to remove the stored dust. I will never again spend $700 on a Vac that is totally not worth it. Excellent suction, inexpensive, solidly built.
Love this little powerhouse! – Bought it through an online store, sight unseen. I didn't want to spend much and I am thrilled with this little machine. Love it. For a hundred bucks it does the job well. Thumbs up Samsung on making a great product at a reasonable price. I complain when I'm unhappy about a product so I want to praise when I find a good one. Compact, inexpensive, cleans well
