Fantastic heat pump dryer – We've always had the old traditional dryer that needs venting and sucks lots of power. We'd been skeptical of heat pumps as the common theme seems to be complaints about clothes not being fully dried. Picked this model after lots of research and haven't been disappointed. In fact, our experience has been the opposite. As long as the clothes out of the washing machine are unclumped before tossing in, it's as dry as a bone every time. Our load is usually a mix of 2-3 adults and an active child, so often around the 8kg max recommended. Small or full load, clothes feel completely dry and less crispy than with the old tech. Towels particularly feel much softer. There are so many settings and features, but we don't do anything other than use the AI function. It just works every time without fuss. Has the Samsung Smart Things app, easy to set up via QR code on the machine. Seems overkill, but others may find it useful. I really don't need to know when I'm in a meeting somewhere that the dryer has finished at home. Power consumption appears to be much lower overall than our old, inefficient dryer. We expect the premium paid over a standard type of machine will be paid back over time. Best of all is not having to vent it and there being no condensation in the laundry. We attached ours easily into the outflow pipe for the washing machine (a quick swap of the flexi-hose on the back and adding supplied extension), but it also comes standard with a large pull-out tray you can empty after each load to be completely standalone. We've loved it so much, our daughter bought the same model for her new-build house, and has happily run it in the lounge unplumbed as she waits for a mounting kit for the wall in the laundry. It's also very quiet, a bonus if your laundry is close to your other living areas. The only annoying thing is the long electronic song it plays when it finishes a load. I'm trying to figure out how to turn that off. There are two things to regularly check: 1) lint traps. Easily accessed inside the door and extracts more than I've seen with our previous dryers. A two-part system that is very easy to clean. 2) a bottom area with condenser unit that requires brushing out every now and again (depending on usage of course). Can be a little fiddly, but not really difficult to get to. Overall, this is an excellent product that's made a big difference to convenience and power consumption in our family.
