Good to start – Curently at the stage with Beko where have asked for this to be fixed. They claim misuse of the product due to the inefficient cooling of the item. It takes at least 2 cycles to dry anything. The evaporator is cleaned on a monthly basis and i argue there is a design flaw on the basis that there should be another filter protecting the evaporator… Read more

as there is lint cloggin up between the fins of this. Looking at the same complaints on here, it's clear there is an issue with the dryer. Other Beko heat pump dryers do actually have a second filter down here to protect this from happening it seems. Very diappointed with this and their customer care response which also takes a long time to answer to emails.

Cheap quality appliance!! Expensive laundry ornament – started off loving this dryer. It worked so perfectly and was so efficient to begin with. Bit it did not last 12months before we started having issues. The seal has worn out and started coming off allowing steam and condensation to blow out the door and onto electronic controls, door is flimsy and started falling apart, condenser is made of flimsy… Read more

easy to break materials and dryer has become more and more noisey over time. Have made warranty claim technician told me it wasnt covered by warranty and left. Low quality, cheaply built appliance that just doesn't last and warranty not honoured Stuck with large shiney laundry ornament. My washing machine from Beko also broke down after only 3 years so all up very disappointing brand.

Quiet & very efficient – We dry mostly bedding and whereas my old vented dryer was hotter & quicker the sheets were always badly creased to the point if friends were coming to stay I have to iron them. Occasionally with some items it feels like a bit longer might give a dryer result than what it senses yet overall very happy with its performance and the amount of water… Read more

extracted is amazing - straight onto the garden so that would have to be another environmental benefit let alone the lack mould causing extra humidity within the house. The other impressive feature is the dual filter. It is so effective even extra dirt, dust & sand if present is collected so obviously not removed by our washing machine therefore cleaner clothing. My mother joked it is so efficient will the clothes eventually disappear? I’m very happy with it so far and that is it an attractive white good is another bonus. Top marks for the internal light also. Why weren’t they included before as so handy.

Love my Beko had it for years and it hasn’t missed a beat! – Love my Beko. I use it daily, for general clothes, towels and linen. Great for drying my Kathmandu jacket after washing. Sensor’s my clothes for drying so I’m not using extra power. Lots of different settings to choose for what you require. My power bill isn’t expensive even though I use my dryer which is a bonus. Show details

Perfect! Should have upgraded earlier – Usually dries quickly than the display reads, noise is relatively lesser than conventional dryers, costs next to nothing to run. If they could just provide filter to catch the extra lint in secondary filter, that would just be perfect as cleaning the lint filter grills with provided brush is time consuming and not optimal. Show details

Do not buy this thing would be better as a Boat Anchor – Since buying this Dryer it has neve worked. It Runs for 6 hours and the clothes, towels, jeans or what it may be are still damp. Had a tech come out who replaced the heat pump which did nothing. Have gone to back to appliances online several times and they sent another Tech out who could find nothing wrong with it. YET it DOES NOT dry anything. It is still under warranty and is useless. Show details

Died after two years – I purchased this dryer two years ago and loved it. Recently I noticed it wasn't drying as well so I submitted a warranty claim with Beko. They sent a repair man to assess it. He said it wasn't covered by the warranty because I had damaged the evaporator plate while cleaning it. I had followed the cleaning instructions. The plate is made of weak… Read more

metal that easy to bend with light pressure. I disputed the finding but got nowhere. Even though I did not call the repairman, because Beko determined the fault wasn't covered by the warranty I was billed a $150 callout fee.

What an amazing dryer – I put things in the dryer that states no tumble drying because it's so natural just using the heat to dry everything. I always used a condenser dryer for years but after buying a heat pump dryer I would never buy anything else Show details

Waste of electricity *UPDATE 13-6-21* – ***21st of June 2021 UPDATE*** ***13th of June 2021 Update*** Beko and Appliances Online are still refusing to acknowledge that there is a legitimate issue with this machine and persist on claiming that their tech did not diagnose an issue on the past visits even though he does not stay for the full duration of a cycle to sight the issue we’re… Read more

having. We still need to run two full cycles to get it to dry at a minimum and now not only is it not drying but its now leaking water from the door during a cycle creating a puddle on the floor in front of the machine and as well a build up of water sits behind the evaporative grill door cover at the bottom so it pours out when we take the door off to clean with a brush, another pointless maintenance tip the tech gave on his last visit which has no effect.

Purchased this from Appliances Online on the 18th of April 2020, within the first 6 months the heat lamp cover broke off during a cycle and ever since the dryer has not worked as it should. Waited for a replacement lamp cover for over a month, re-fitted it myself and the dryer still leaves clothes damp, need to run two cycles to get them dry.

Had a technician from Beko come out a few weeks ago and said he fixed it, this is certainly not the case as the dryer still does not dry.

Tonight I thought i'd take a look inside the drum at the heat lamp cover, and sure enough its had part of it broken off and the seal is damaged as you can see in the attached photo.

I'm in a position now where all I want is a refund but Appliances Online and Beko just direct me to each other. Whats the point of a 5 year warranty if all your going to have is grief. Never purchasing this brand again.

Died after 2 years – Re posting my review as my love for the machine has changed. When it worked it was great, very happy with it however It died just over 2 years after purchase, making it a very expensive machine to only have for 2 years. My washing machine from Beko also broke (out of warranty), so all in all i am disappointed in the brand. Show details

Dries well – Has worked great in drying clothes especially if you pick the jeans option. Works well on most clothes but do not recommend for those really fluffy winter knitted jumpers. Easy to use. Remember to pull the water drawer out and empty it after each wash. Like the 10 and 20 min option when you need a bit more drying time. Came with 5 years free extended warranty. Show details

Reasonable dryer but no reverse tumble – I bought this dryer at the end of 2018 at which time the product description from Beko stated the dryer had a reverse tumble action, which was my main reason for purchase. About September 2019 Beko updated their spec sheet and removed mention of that feature after a customer pointed out it only does a quarter turn backwards about every five… Read more

minutes. This meant sheets ball up every time you try and dry them. To their credit, and thanks Appliances Online, they accepted a return of the product.

Reverse tumble aside, this is a budget build of a higher branded premium dryer, so it looks alright and has most of the features you need. However it feels a bit cheap in hand, the plastics creak a little and door closure just feels a little off...so yeh, it's a budget dryer.

BUT if you're looking at a heat pump over $1k this dryer really needs to undercut the competitors, which at current listing it does not. It does have a generous 2+3 yr warranty upon registration (5yr total) which was the main thing which gave me confidence to buy and excellent energy efficiency. Also a positive of this dryer is it doesn't have a self cleaning condenser which are bad because over time it still gets blocked up and you can't access it. With this dryer the condenser is accessible by opening the front cover so you can do a better job maintaining it's cleanliness.

So overall the dryer is good enough but you'd want to get it at a good price or else you may as well look at some other brands with a far better finish which will cost not much more.

Broken in 3 months – 3 months after purchase i had this machine break completely, the condenser unit failed i believe as it stopped removing moisture. i had been without the dryer for a few months and finally i have been offered a refund. i wouldn't buy this, this is a problem i think a lot of people will have as the part is on backorder. Show details

3 Months, Heat Pump Died – Bought this drier through Appliances Online, to match the 8.5kg washer I bought elsewhere 2 hour drying time, and it still left the clothes damp to the touch. 3 months after purchasing it, the heat pump died. Was not expecting that from a 1300 dollar drier. Will never buy another Beko Appliance again Show details

Normal Heat Pump Dryer – This dryer is not bad. It reaches the expectation of what you spend. I think the most advantage is 10 years warranty, the others are 2 years. And it is not expensive. BTW, it is not dry enough for bedding. Show details ·  1

THIS IS PERRRFECT! – The dryer works best and takes off unwanted lint etc. Very efficient energy rating if using Dryer quite often. Needs filters to be cleaned after each use for best performance. Highly recommended as a long term investment as it’s dearer than many other brands. Show details ·  1

Excellent value for money – My first time with a beko product and I couldn’t be happier. I always use the heat pump facility and it is so much more economical than the normal dryers I have had previously. No more screwed up clothes it senses when it is just right I even put my delicates in and have been pleased with the results it seems there is a setting fir everything. I would certainly consider other beko appliances wish they were more available here in Australia Show details ·  1

They don’t honour warranties!!! They fob you off! – I’ve changed my review as the warranty I had on the unit was not fulfilled. I never heard from them. DO NOT BUY A BEKO! You’ve been warned! They will fob you off and when you follow up, they tell you you’re out of warranty, even though the warranty claim was first approved! I’m not happy and never buying another Beko product again! They were rude on the phone! Show details

Love it – I'll start first of by saying how nice and quite this dryer is while running so good can only hear a slight sound. My wife runs it at night to save power and it does not disturb me at all. On the power side we have been using it for the last power term 3 months very regularly every second day 3 full loads and shaved $250+ dollars of our old bill… Read more

using a stranded simpson dryer this heat pump cloths dyer is so much cheaper. On the drying side it's great we do a load of towels on extra dry settimg only to completely dry them or sometimes there may be some only very slightly not damp just not 100% dry. some morning we use rapid dry to quickly dry left out school clothes this works great like a conventional dryer. The best feature though is no more wet steamy laundry we don't have it plumbed in we empty the water down sink each time super easy and fast. Overall if your looking at buying this you won't be disappointed at all

Very impressed, Best of Both Worlds – Purchased 16/04/2018 from Appliances Online Wanted energy efficiency of heat pump tumble dryer but option for rapid conventional drying in emergency, and decent Warranty. drawer, plus alternate hose is supplied to drain direct to sink avoiding need to empty receptacle. I measured noise level at 64.2 to 65.2 Decibels running on heat pump only, with 7.5kg load. Machine started with sensor indicating, 2.45 drying time indicated with max dry level selected cotton anti-crease cycle, sensor self adjusted drying cycle to actually complete load in 1hr 41min. We have this dryer stacked on 7.5kg Miele front load washer using mat supplied by Appliances online when they delivered and installed promptly by courteous delivery staff. We haven't used the "Rapid-Dry" heater element boosted cycle yet but I will edit this review when I have had time to assess this feature which favours speed over economy when drying. Operating selections on rotary dial: Jeans, Sport, Shirts 30, Bad Protect, Mix, Bedding, Night, Time Setting, Cottons Iron Dry, Cottons Cupboard Dry, Cottons ExtraDry, Synthetics Iron Dry, Synthetics Cupboard Dry, Delicates, Wool, Freshen Up. Night setting reduces sound level by about, Half that normally emitted on cotton cupboard dry setting. Wool cycle approved by Woolmark for machine washable wool items, provided label instructions are followed with washing and drying and prompt removal at end of cycle. Shirts30 to have two shirts ready for ironing in 30min. Freshen up is ventilation only without hot air for 10 min to air items which have been stored for long periods and deodorise unpleasant odours. Energy Label standard Rating 8 stars / 125KWh per year under AS/NZS 2442 program Machine features forward / reverse tumble, Adjustable volume Audio warning when program ends, Adjustable dryness levels, Selectable Anti-Creasing which rotates laundry for a period every 240secs to prevent creasing when you don't remove items at end of drying cycle. "RapiDry" function, available to all programs highlighted with dark colour on the control panel, reduces normal eco drying time by supplementing heat source to shorten drying duration, at expense of economy. Select End Time to delay end of program by up to 24hrs Start / Pause button to open door or change program on fly. Child lock, Selectable Favourites program setting for frequent use.

16/8/2022 Update. 4 years later, this Beko heat pump hybrid clothes dryer is still working reliably and to this date can only contribute a couple of insights gained through extended use. 1. I tend to use the cotton extra dry setting for most clothes. Because of the lower temperatures with this type of dryer, the clothes don't appear to suffer shrinkage and any lint is caught in filter. 2. Doona's and Blankets use Bedding setting. 3. Sheets / Doona covers tended to ball up / tangle together especially if mixed load with towels. Better to do towels as another load. Fasten closures on doona covers to avoid items being trapped within and resulting uneven drying. 4. To reduce or avoid large items eg. sheets balling up in dryer, I gather corners together, fold in half and fold in half again, and don't overload for best result. Similar sized items work best. 5. Wife prefers to dry mixed clothing on Mixed dryer setting for consistently good results, remove promptly and hang to reduce creasing / avoid ironing. 6. The Hybrid function, whereby an additional conventional heater element can be activated to reduce drying time has not been used since we purchased, as we found the initial drying estimate at start of cycle, automatically reduces during drying anyway and is always shorter than initial estimate. 7. I was sceptical about the claimed benefits, having come from traditional tumble dryers and high power bills, but am now a happy convert to Heat Pump Drying and won't go back as the reduced energy bills have justified this change.
