It has continued to work well and maintains a stable temperature. Temperature is easy to adjust if required through electronic controls. No issues with shelving, all still intact with no cracks or breakages. Easy to clean, even… Read more · 1
with spills. I did have an issue with water leaking from the freezer and incorrect temperature in the fridge 3 years in. This was sorted at no charge by Samsung out of warranty. From memory the issue was related to controller between fridge and freezer. Fixed promptly by local service agent. No other issues since and it is still working well.
Disposable fridge with manufacturing defects. Freezer liner cracks, plastic on glass shelves cracks – This review is actually for SRL350LS which has been discontinued by Samsung. I'm including my review here as no one will read it under SRL350LS as Samsung have discontinued the product. I wonder why Samsung continue to discontinue/change the names of their products rather then keeping the names ongoing? I suspect Samsung change the names of their… Read more
products regularly so their products don't get poor online reviews.
If Samsung only keep a product name alive for 4 years and the products have a 4 year life cycle then online consumers will never know how bad Samsung products are, as no consumer is going to read a review of a product that is no longer sold. The consumers will read about the new product that has good reviews because it hasn't actually been in customers homes long enough to break. It's only after 4 years that the product starts to break and by then the product is discontinued.
From what I've read on this review page, the problems I had with SRL350LS have not been fixed for SRL457MW.
REVIEW - SRL350LS (SRL457MW sounds like the same disposable product, slightly larger with a new name)
Paper thin stainless sheeting on the doors results in thousands of compression marks.
The plastic walls/lining in the freezer that the drawers run on, started to crack after 4 years, resulting in a drawer stop breaking off. Now when I open the freezer the middle drawer drops onto the floor. This is a common complaint on Product Review.
I contacted Samsung who told me that the fridges life cycle had been considered and they would not repair it. I wasn't aware that Samsung designs and makes disposable products that last 4 years with short life cycles.
To date, I have bought 3 Samsung products.
1) A Microwave that lasted two years before it was repaired 3 times and eventually refunded.
2) A TV that lasted 5 years before the circuit board packed had to be replaced.
3) A Fridge that lasted 4 years before it had a serious defect which Samsung will not repair.
3 product with 100% fail rate. I will not be buying another Samsung product. Its quite clear to me that Samsung are making disposable electronics with short life cycles. This is an absolute waste of the planets resources and is terrible for the environment.

Good for free – Recently a neighbor sold their house and decided to leave the state, thus gave me their Samsung fridge for helping them during the process. So all I can tell you is that they paid $910 for it according to the paperwork they gave me with it. It still has valid warranty on the digital inverter compressor which has a 10 year coverage. Apart from it… Read more
being a little smaller than I'd like, it is well designed and runs so quietly you wonder if it's running, and it doesn't create so much heat either.
From my understanding the inverter compressor means it is less susceptible to power fluctuations/ spikes etc. and uses less power to run since it doesn't start up with such high wattage requirements. As far as I understand it. So there have been gains already by replacing the older bigger fridge I had with this one.
I would certainly consider purchasing a brand new one for my self if need be although there are many other brands available with similar features and design but not sure about the matching warranty on the compressor.
Samsung have always been on top when it comes to design and innovation from my experience over the years. The fridge this one replaced was an LG which ,also from south Korea, is a well made fridge which is still going strong out the back after 10 years ownership from new.
If you want a fridge which looks good, designed well, quiet, cool and efficient then go for this Samsung. Despite their prices being on the high side, it'll pay for itself regardless.
This has the largest freezer section in a small fridge – 127 Litre freezer with three drawers. If you look at the other 350L sized fridges you'll see this Samsung fridge has by far the largest freezer size. So if you want more freezer space without buying a bigger appliance this could be the model for you. It works well, I had the same model in my last place which worked perfectly for 2 years. Temperature control seems fine, noise seems reasonable. Show details
Poor performer – Won’t maintain temperatures in the top section and freezes vegetables in the crisper. Is set at 2 degrees and is recording 10 degrees on the top shelf. The freezer is ok. Have followed all the advice on the help sites and have now resorted to a call out. Hopefully the new model is better. Show details
Excellent Product – I have owned mine for 5 years and post this in case someone is looking at Samsung fridges as my model is now discontinued. The product has worked very well. Temperature is accurate (checked by thermometer) and well maintained in all compartments. It is easy to clean with glass shelves and pull out freezer drawers. Shelves on fridge door snap… Read more
out easily. The freezer drawers maintain their temperature when door is opened.
Interior is uncluttered and food is easily accessible.
It is quiet, except for some noise on defrost when ice pieces drop.
It has never missed a beat and I would gladly buy another.
Simple and efficiently design – Purchased this as a 2nd fridge for all those extras especially during festive seasons when there are too much shopping & leftovers. Fridge & freezer compartment are design to maximize storage. I especially like the simple drawers in freezer section without encumbrances of ice/controls. 3 full drawers able to accommodate a lot! Same said of fridge trays too! Works efficiently & very quiet. Show details
