A reliable, effective , no-nonsense front loader – We have had our wf1752wpc for over 12 years, used for a family of four, at least two, often three or four wash loads a day, everyday, often running literally all morning. It cleans clothes well, and is economical on water and power. Last week we got the 3E error. It was the motor brushes of course (after many thousands of hours of use, carbon… Read more

brushes wear down, so 12 years is pretty damn good). Samsung do not sell the brushes separately, but they are available on E#ay, A#azon, A#iexpress for around $11 each. To change them, I only needed a regular screwdriver (#2). II just unplugged the machine, turned off the water, tipped the machine on its side, undid the bottom panel (4 regular Phillips heads crews), them removed the brushes (2 screws each) and fitted the new brushes. It is happily washing in the background as I type. A few years back, we had the suds error and I replaced the small hose from the washing liquid tray/sud mixer. I found there was a hairline crack in the sud mixer cap, causing a little leak - I cleaned it and fixed it with regular (G#rilla/T#rzan's grip) epoxy glue - it held fine for four years. Seeing as it has earned its keep, I bought and fitted a new sud mixer cap. The only gripe is a common one: directly under the washing liquid tray, the steel body developed a few spots of surface rust - due to the alkalinity of the detergent I imagine. I popped the control panel off, quickly went over the rust spots with a mouse sander, wiped it with degreaser, then taped and painted it with cold galv (zinc) paint - I masked it so it made a silver line along the edge that meets the control panel (rather than trying to colour match the off-white of the body. The pump filter door has over time changed to a deeper cream colour, probably due to the harsh year round Australian sun. Like most front-loader users, I wish it had a true 'pause' function that allowed 'that forgotten sock' to be added later, as on some newer machines, but the additional required sensors (?) would probably just be a potential source of error. For this price point and vintage it would be expecting way too much! If I really need to add to the washload, it's easy enough to just stop the cycle, turn it off, turn it off at the wall and wait 3-4 mins for the capacitors (and memory) to run flat, then open the door. Also, like most front loaders the drain arrangement is silly, too low to the ground to drain close by, it should have longer hose to run to the outside, or at least a tap on the end to allow a hose to be fitted - that is actually a good idea for a retro-fit I might make. I am pretty impressed that it continues to runs so well after 12 years of hard use. I would buy another of these over a newer model, just for the reliability.

I live alone – I live alone. I'm really sick of white goods that last 5 minutes. I bought this in 2013. Ok 7 years is a while, but it only does 2 - 4 loads a week. Now it stops all the time giving the usual 5E and SUDS error codes. I'm too sick to pull it apart and check the pump. As my name brand appliances have failed I've started buying the cheapies. I've… Read more

been happy so far and they are so cheap that if you get 3 or 4 years out of them you can afford to ditch it and buy another.

I bought a samsung fridge also. It's still working but from day 1 it's driven me mad terrible design, wastes so much space, and it makes gurgling noises that made me worry for the first year my plumbing was leaking. I'm done with samsung. Not as good as bosch not as cheap as the no name stuff.

My machine died too! – Just finished saying to my family how great the washing machine is as my son bought it as a gift for me 5 years ago and I was so pleased that it was still washing well etc ....then two days later...it's dead....motor gone and $165 out of pocket for service call, repair was going to be an additional $418. Pleased with its overall performance but would have appreciated a longer life expectancy!  Show details

Good long-lasting product – Owned this machine for 5 years now - it is still going strong and still energy efficient. Definitely living up to the expectation of the Samsung product name and reliability. It cleans the clothes well and is easy to maintain as well e.g. drum clean and filter clean. Not very noisy when in used.  Show details

It won't be Samsung anytime soon as our washer machine – Lasted for 7 years, didn't like it over that time (previous LG was much better in functions). Died with the same famous 3E error. Don't think we'll get another Samsung anytime soon. Show details

Defective. Washing machine displaying 3e error code after only 3.5 years of use! So disappointing – Extremely disappointed. Would give 0 stars if could. I purchased this washing machine dec 2012. It worked great for 3 years (as you’d expect). Moved places and had it in storage until Aug last year. Half a year more of use and it has died! I have seen so many other people have the same 3e issue. Definitely expect a washing machine to work for more… Read more

than 3.5 years, feeling totally ripped off! (2 years of warranty on a washing machine is a joke to begin with, you’d especially expect more on the motor - your competitors offer 10 years on their motors, why don’t you? I now see what this says about your products). Poor manufacturing and unreliable, all of the complaints of the same issue this product should have been recalled!! This has really turned me off and I don’t think I will ever purchase Samsung brand again. Are you willing to rectify the issue Samsung? Or will I be left stranded? - that will be the decider for me.

I hate Samsung..but – We bought this washing machine for something like $170 second hand with the drain filter door falling off.. and a few cracks in the top side casing. That's as bad as it got. We have now had the machine for about 3 years and treated it like a family with 2 adults and 2 kids would (multiple loads a day every day) untill we got the 3e error… Read more ·  2

recently. (The 3E error is fairly simple , wiring, connectors, brushes or hall sensor & in this case it's brushes, $15 on eBay) We believe with the sheer amount of work it has done with being used all the time every day it is has done an exceptional job and always washed our clothes, nappies, work clothes decently. The only little gripe would be that it's not the best with delicates getting stuck in the door seal but as is the same with most front loaders

I don't have much else to say other than even if we paid full price for it we would still be happy with the results.

We have since replaced this machine with a new Bosch Serie6 9kg silent drive (too new to review)

The Samsung shall move on to nan, to replace that piece of crap Simpson (my other review)

Samsung RUBBISH!!! Going out on the naturestrip – There were no prior signs of any issue before this failure I went to do the washing Thursday night and starting hearing some random beeping noises I then went to the machine and noticed it had stopped and the LCD was showing the 3E error message (faulty wiring harness, motor fault) that everyone is talking about my clothes were still stuck in the… Read more

machine and they had not spun, lucky for me I don't have a Samsung dryer so the dryer I do have did it's job without complaint or any issue (FP) the machine is now dead and will end up as kurb side rubbish (great advertising for samsung) the washing machine had just passed it's use by date of 5 and a bit years I even took out an an extended warranty what a joke!

I Used to be a Samsung advocate, but no more.... I own many Samsung products but will not be buying from them in the near future I will also tell all my friends to do the same.

Samsung get your act together as stated before I will not be investing my money in your products. There should be a recall on these machines as they are obviously faulty at the very least most manufacturers are offering 10y'rs parts and labour on the motor and components, but generally most consumers have to pay for an additional warranty just to cover any unexpected failures of your machines up until their expiry date...

Not worth the money – We are having a service repair man come out tomorrow, this is the 3rd time since owning the machine. POOR QUALITY PRODUCT – I purchased the product about 4.0 years ago. It ran ok until now. During the washing cycle , heard loud thumping noise from washing machine which I had never experienced. Went to see whats going on and saw the drum was spinning wobbling and suddenly stopped spinning. I assume the drum spider arm has corroded and broken apart. I had read many reviews regarding their poor quality of metals being used in spider arm. Show details

Poor quality product and service from Samsung - beware 3E error – My washing machine is only 5.5 years old and I got the much talked about 3E motor error. Pretty good – Cleans and works well Low water usage but once you start it you can’t open the door unless you turn it off at the power. Then it eventually opens. Great washing machine – Buying a washer with a big family is always a big decision because it has to be able to keep up with our 2 to 3 loads per day and so far it's been excellent! The only negative is that little socks or things like that get stuck in the seal of the door and don't actually get a proper wash but that's being picky...possibly a problem with all front loaders.  Show details

Excellent Machine even after 3 years. Edit: this machine died not long after I reviewed – i bought this after spending $1600 on the top of the range Electrolux machine that lasted 3 yrs and was fixed 4 times. Thought I'd buy a cheap washing machine but it has outlasted the expensive machine and still going strong. Was thinking of picking one up as a second machine for my dogs washing (beds, mats etc) Never skipped a beat. Works fine till the door seal tears = $$$ repair – Had no issues with this until after a couple of years when the rubber door seal got a tear and then proceeded to leak water all over the floor. and was unable to turn the door seal to the top due to the way Samsung designs it to make people fork out for repairs or buy another washing machine - its so wasteful both environmentally and financially. Will go with a top loader for my next purchase.

Be very careful when taking clothes out to avoid this happening to you, aside from that its been running smoothly, not too noisy and keeps clothes clean.

Read the manual people. The machine needs to have the lint removed from the front of machine trap! – Minimal powder and gives excellent spin. Flooding experienced when filter clogged then flooded again as gunk worked its way out of pipe again and again. The wash cycle keeps stopping and manual off/on to continue. Worst washing machine I ever owned – Had it four years now and brought it brand new from Appliances Online. Realistically expected it to last at least 7 years. false starts than it does complete loads of washing. I'm constantly needing to juggle items inside it. So much so I cannot leave the house while it's running in case it stops. The last time it did so in glorious fashion, when the motor needed replacing, it was smoking and had an electrical burning smell so I can't risk leaving it alone to run while we're out or in bed.

This machine is so good – This washer is the best I've used. Clothes are clean and it has good balance. I like the choice of setting as you can do a quick wash in 15 minutes or use the hand wash cycle which makes it easy and doesn't wreck your delicates. I recommend this over any other machine. Total rubbish - don't buy a Samsung washing machine – Like all of Samsung's products, their washing machines are a huge disappointment and calculated to be very user-unfriendly. covered in lint/dirt/undissolved laundry powder, you can't open it if it has a conniption without turning it off at the wall and having water pouring all over your laundry, half the time it starts and stops the cycle half way through and just stalls, the computer panel burn out within 4 months of purchase. It's just total rubbish and trying to get a refund, replacement or repair, is pretty much impossible. Save yourself the aggravation and just stay away from Samsung washing machines all together - unless you enjoy having your laundry set on fire by a faulty appliance and then having to deal with very rude and unhelpful customer service reps.

Leaking after 3.5years - sound familiar?!! – Omg my machine is leaking 2 towels full of water each load and I'm trying to find out what to do - I come to this site and it appears I am not the only one! Yes this clearly seems like a design fault. The leakage is definitely coming from the middle inside the machine somewhere. Good workhorse – We bought this washing machine in December 2012 and its still going strong. why it wasn't washing that well on the 'daily wash' program then realised it is a 2kg max program. Now I just fill the machine up and set it to be finished by the time I get home from work on the cotton wash. Perfect results every time and I love the delay feature.

We use omo powder in the machine. Never really used liquid as it makes a mess and I hate the insert dish.

I LOVE that it heats its own water. It means you know it is definitely getting to 90 degrees when it needs to (for example when a child is sick on their sheets).

It can be a bit noisy, but we just close the laundry door so not a big deal.

PROS:

Looks good

Efficient with water and power

Heats its own water

Gets clothes very clean

Clothes stay in good condition

CONS:

Noisy

Water pools in door lip occasionally

Door needs a good push to close after 3.5 years as the hinge is not great

Overall, a good buy and simple to use. Very good with water usage too.
