I can't comment Samsung washing machine products are still good or bad – Our Samsung washing machine was working for almost eight years without issues and suddenly smell and smoke coming inside when it is spinning completed. Though it is still working, Unfortunately, we have decided to replace. But we still research we go with Samsung again or move to other brand. Show details
Shoddy Workmanship – After having no issues for 7 yrs it now refuses to work 3E fault. Removed motor brushes and one was worn down to the brush box and the other was only 40% worn. Both parts identical in shape but different part numbers? Looks like a parts mix match on production line. One brush different hardness to the other one or different spring tensions. Can't… Read more
buy genuine brushes from Samsung repairer in Adelaide...New motor suggested. WOW... Pretty poor after sale support!
Good at first but becomes unreliable & leaks – Got this machine after my previous Samsung died after 4.5 years. Similar problems to my previous Samsung where everything was fine for the first 2-3 years but needed a new motor after 3.5-4 years, and now 4 months out of extended warranty, it goes into a cycle of every minute switching on/off. It has constantly leaked too. Show details

Constant leaks - plints in laundry rotting now – Good when it's working. Breaks down too often. First time the door seal was leaking. Then the part that has the valve that controls water flow through detergent drawer. Now a hose is leaking. Only 6 years old, what a pain to have to open it up three times now, find the problem, source the parts etc. etc. Never again. Show details

Short lifespan – SAMSUNG WF1804WPC 8kg In 3 years, replaced motor, 5 years, it's leaking and damaged the main board. Had to write off. Very low price, good design. but short lifespan, only lasted for 5 years. So still expensive. Why do you make products with low quality and low price? Bye bye Samsung. Show details
Good machine but poor life achieved – Ok machine, had 2.5 years no issues at all, one drum paddle fell off 6 months ago and has been randomly eating clothing since ( you can see on the back of the paddle where the factory screw had not gone in the moulded slot properly ) since then has been randomly eating clothing, problem has now progresses to regular clothes eating and suds… Read more
errors.... Unfortunately retired to the scap recycler. Disappointing as the life was not great and dont want to risk the kids school uniforms......
When time becomes irrelevant – Whilst this model from Samsung is now obsolete it is a great front loading washing machine. It has this great "Eco Bubble" system whereby the washing liquid or powder is mixed with water and turned into suds before it is introduced to your washing. This reduces the chance of hanging clothes on the line only to find great clumps of power still… Read more

There are a number of cycle options you are most likely never to use as if you are like me you just throw most things in together. However if you really have a large range to delicate clothing or various types of materials then there is something there to cover your needs.
This machine offers very good energy and water ratings making it one of the best in its class.
However this has been bugging me since purchase, according to the machine TIME has nothing to do with washing your clothes. You select the 55 minute daily wash cycle option and somewhere between 60 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes later it might just finish. None of the cycle times are actually achieved. Even the 15 minute Quick Wash takes about 20 minutes. I've never been able to work this out and if your thinking hot against cold wash is the difference then you're wrong as I always wash in cold water.
Reliable machine, easy to use – Easy to use, quick wash options and Eco bubble setting. Different cycles washed clothes well.Water did not settle in door seal, drum did not smell, all in all a reliable machine which had a lot of use with our large family. Lasted 5 years before bearings failed. I would recommend this machine. Show details
Service team shocking, cannot get anyone to even look at my machine! – Our machine is under three years old. Yes it's used a lot, I have four boys including a baby in cloth nappies. Recently our machine started leaking water from the top casing. Samsung service centre assured me a technician would come look at my machine within five days. As I'm in rural wa I was not surprised by this. A week later I ring up and I am… Read more
Told a spare part is on its way to me...but wait a minute, no one knows what's wrong with my machine yet! After about 14 phone calls over three days they are still trying to send me a spare part I don't need. I then told them I'd take the machine to perth which they agreed to and linked me with a service agent. They authorised him to repare it. He then rings me the next day and says they are sending a spare part and no longer authorise him to repare. Apparently they were supposed to call me to tell me this but I'm yet to have any info from them. Seriously, 12 days after lodging my issue I have got no where! There is no serive centre willing to even touch my machine as soon as I mention it's a Samsung! I took the top off my machine and found the leak is coming from the dispenser housing, there is a huge crack through the top. Ok this might be wear and tear, we have moved a few times, no problems. But I can't even get any help! Stuff it. Go stick your Samsung. I have given up and bought a new LG machine which I know I can get service for locally. Keep service centres on australian soil so communication is more effective especially when so many of us live rurally! It should not be this hard to get someone to look at a washing machine! I'm less than two hours from perth for goodness sake! Will never ever by Samsung again!
Does a very good job for two years – Very happy with its functions. Washes our clothes fine. Bought at good price no hassle. Never had a problem with it, noise level not bad either, favourite wash is daily wash, which takes only 55 minutes and washes our clothes fine, can recommend.
Piece of junk – My machine was broken 10 days after the warranty expired. The machine turns off the power itself occasionally while it is running. I am not sure whether it is worth to call the service to fix it or buy a new machine. I have completely lost my confidence with Samsung product especially with white goods.
at our wits' end – we have owned this machine, purchased at the good guys in midland wa, for 23 months and we are at our wits' end. the 1400 rpm spin cycle regularly (as in, almost always) trips our rcd and we are forced to run it at low spin speeds, which usually still trip the rcd. on average, we have to reset the rcd twice with every load we wash. the samsung… Read more
technician has been out twice, both times telling us there is nothing wrong with the machine and that it must be our circuits (it's an old house). so in march 2015 we gave in and paid an electrician $550 to put in a new circuit. but the problem continues. samsung is due out again next week (we have an extended warranty but the good guys wont go near it until the 2yr samsung warranty is up). we are so over samsung, and not being able to run s normal load at a normal spin cycle. we also thought the good guys might have stepped in to help us out, given we have an extended warranty and it will soon become their problem anyway. be warned!
Terrible - Do NOT Recommend – My SAMSUNG WF1804WPC 8kg machine barely lasted 2years. It did wash okay, but small items of clothing, like socks or underwear always got stuck in the rubber where the door seals once the wash cycle started. I did always put these smaller items in first to minimize having to re-wash the small stuff, but it still happened quite often. I have the… Read more
machine under a bench, so it was level and quiet enough. The final spin cycle was noisy though, now I have a new washer that is super quiet to compare it too.
The Samsung made some weird noises, clunks, high pitched squeals and started to leak, a small leak at first, and then so much water was coming out during a wash cycle, I would need at least three towels to soak up the water. My Husband took the back and top off the machine to inspect it, and what a mess!!! Plastic areas were cracked and oil leak stains everywhere. We didn't bother even phoning for service or assistance. I am sure it would cost and arm and leg to fix, and the machine wasn't worth it. I never really loved it from the start.
My first front loader was a very basic LG 7kg, and it lasted 8 years and washed well. I decided to purchase another LG. I have had my new machine for only 3 days, but so far I love it so much more. It is a lot quieter through the entire cycle and the 1400rpm spin is great.
Only time will tell if I made the correct decision, but I know for certain, I will never buy another Samsung. EVER!

Biggest piece of rubbish I have ever owned – Entire front of my machine bowl has broken off. Many weeks later and still no fix. Samsungs failed promises of return calls to sort out very disappointing . It should be against the law to sell such rubbish. NEVER by anything Samsung !!!!
Lifespan 13months! – Rubbish machine has an inlet valve problem - cost $140 call out $140 - no resolution to problem - advice replace the board another $300 . You have got to be joking samsung - the $300 will go toward a new machine but definitely not a samsung
Absolute Piece of Junk – This is the worst machine i have ever owned, it has minor leaks and has periodically broken down whenever it feels like it for the last 12 months, (only 15 months old). The Samsung warranty is not worth the paper its printed on, i have waited nearly four weeks, had two service techs on site and still have a broken washing machine, all i get from… Read more
Samsung every time i call there 1300 Number (10 times now) is promises of a call back from someone senior that never comes. Nothing Bad Service warranty, unreliable machine, waste of money
Great Machine – Have had this machine for about 2 weeks now and it's fantastic so far. Easy to use, washes well and is very quiet (especially compared to my old LG). My old front loader LG would always walk around the Laundry, despite me leveling it many times. I levelled this one on the day it arrived & haven't had to touch it since. It hasn't moved at all. 1400 rpm spin really helps to dry things like towels & sheets.
Hopefully it will be reliable for many years too come, but time will tell on that.
Update on this machine for anyone that's interested - 5/01/2016:
I have now had this machine for about 18 months and I'm pleased to say that I haven't had one problem with it.
Still going great, still washing great and still hasn't moved 1mm from when I set it up new.
Couldn't be happier with this machine. Quiet & smooth operation, easy to use, washes well, good choice of wash cycles, 1400 rpm spin is great Can't default the wash cycles to the one I use most, but it's only a minor issue.
Update- 15 Months on – The machine has been going now for 15 months and a call made to replace the plastic "lid" again- cracks have appeared in the front right corner. The door has sagged on the hinges- no we dont swing on it or have young kids to blame- The door has to be lifted to shut it.. A slow leak is apparent - Front RHS and despite a 50mm thick concrete slab… Read more
under the machine it still vibrates the house - even when empty. Last time when the service person came he confirmed it was all level and installed properly.
So I made the call to the company and an afternoon visit arranged. Operator excellent- helpful and responsive. Surprisingly the repairer tries to come in the morning- told not to bother as no one would be there. Then told they didnt have the part any way.. I will be contacting Samsung as this is not good.
I am still optimistic that the issues will be resolved... Washes well Vibrations, service issues- Concern re how long this machine will last
Update :) The service person apparently doesnt do afternoons but now has the replacement part (… Read more (+1 reply)
Shocking service if something goes wrong. Do not touch this machine! – Do not touch this machine if you need to wash under 5 children's clothes!!! Our machine has had faults since day one. And we have only had this machine for a few months. First an issue with a faulty valve, then it was our fault because water pressure too much for this washing machine to handle. It was also very noisy and they blamed our wooden… Read more
floor because it made so much vibration noise. My brother who sells these types of appliances and was the one that suggested this model in the first place even said it should not be making that much noise.
Then worst of all, my toddlers socks, flannels and other items always got caught in the door seal, and apparently this is a common problem with Samsung front loaders. So common in fact that they try and cover themselves by commenting that all small items should be washed in a bag. However, they have a babycare cycle, and because we have to wash baby and toddler clothes it is ridiculous to wash all our children's clothes in a bag!
Samsung kept blaming us and have refused to change our machine even though we have had continue faults with it and it almost always has clothes caught in the door! It would even catch clothes in a quarter load, yet they have argued it was due to overfilling the machine!
We will never use Samsung again for anything. Noel Leeming who we bought the washing machine from have been excellent and have offered us to exchange this pig of a product for another washing machine. We called Fisher and Paykel to ask if we would have similar issues if we bought one of their front loaders or should we just go for a top loader. They assured me that the issues we had with the Samsung machine such as clothes getting stuck in the door should not occur and that we would not have to wash small items in a bag such as our baby and toddler clothes.
Buy a Samsung at your own peril, because if something goes wrong you may have a messing stressful fight on your hands. Easy to use Terrible service, items kept being caught in the door, incredibly noisy, not practical if you need to was baby or small children's clothes
did you end up buying a new one ? what would you recommend today ?
Wonderful MAchine – Had the washer delivered yesterday after having a whirlpool front loader for 9 years. What a machine!!! Very quiet, washes better then my old machine. Same length of wash time as the Whirlpool, 2hrs+, but we are use to the wash time. Dont see what the bubble wash does. The Daily Wash cycle good for a quick wash. Bought the machine from The Good… Read more · 1
Guys with the 3 year extended warrenty. Washer was floor stock, discounted to $600, with $100 cash back from Samsung and the 3 year extended warrenty $105. Would recomend this machine to anybody. Quiet, fast spin speed 1400rpm, easy to use. The quick wash cycle max spin speed is 800rpm, not 1400rpm which is no good if you want to use a dryer.
