Circuit board dead at 5 years – The machine washed OK but is dead at 5 years ( electronic board gone) cost of parts and serviceman doesn't warrant repair so to the dump it goes. If you are looking for longevity, dont buy Samsung. Note they are built in China
Don’t buy Samsung Washing Machines! – Never buy a Samsung washing machine - just over 5 years old and it came up with an error message that was not listed in the manual but instead recommended calling Samsung Service to confirm the fault - I called, they had no idea??? If Samsung Service doesn’t know who would? When I rang them, they suggested that the product may be covered under a… Read more
remedial repair program that was outside the warranty period of 2 years if I could find the original receipt - after much time and effort I found the original receipt only to be told by Samsung Service that I did not qualify. I asked what the period of time was for the remedial offer - they said they couldn’t disclose it???? Do you have any idea how frustrating it is to be offered to repair a product free of charge that you’ve not been happy with from day 1 only only to be taken away from you after you’ve spend time and effort digging through your past records.
Their only solution was to recommend some repairers - how are they supposed to know what the problem is if Samsung Service doesn’t - it’s not worth the cost of a call out fee to find out. Looks like I’m going to be shopping for a new washing machine and it won’t be Samsung.
Average performance and short lifespan – I’ve had a few Samsung items over the years, but will not be purchasing anymore. They just don’t last. This washer was reasonably expensive compared to others available, however I assumed I was buying quality. It only lasted 4 years. That’s not good enough. Prior to complete failure. It never really did a great wash. Items would be smelly regardless of program or washing detergent used. Took a long time to do an average job. Show details

Terrible washing machine – I don't have anything good to say about this product. My clothes come out smelling worse than they were before they went in. They actually smell moldy, it's gross. Can never see any water or soap suds in the machine when it is washing and my clothes never have that washing powder freshness smell. The cycle options are useless. If I use the Dark… Read more
Garments cycle, it has a washing time of 1 hour and 15 minutes approximately (depending on the number of rinses) but it only washes for approx 20 mins and the rest of the time is spent rinsing, draining and spinning. And it is meant to be a 7.5kg washer but most of the cycle options only allow you a limit of 2-4kg. Complete waste of money. Will be staying away from this brand washer in the future.

So far so good – Owned this front washer for a number of years now, it hasn't given me any trouble yet. I mostly use the daily wash option about twice a week. Clothes have always come out clean. It can give quite a low and loud roar when in the spin cycle, but this is common to all front loaders. Show details
Great washer until a fatal leak – It has been a great washer until a crack in the detergent tray and the subsequent leak has caused the electronics to fail. Apparently this is the fourth time the repairer has seen this problem. Luckily the leak hasn’t damaged the motor ( which can also happen ) so I am getting the washer repaired ($300). After this I could not recommend a Samsung. This one is just over 5 years old. Show details
Great washing machine – This has been a great washing machine that has served us well for over 5 years now! Always washes all the clothes well, and is actually pretty quiet! I also feel that although the capacity is only 7.5kg, I feel like it handles pretty big loads all the time! If and when this washing machine breaks down, I think I will definitely be purchasing another Samsung washing machine - Have been very happy with their product so far! Show details
Disappointing – I purchased my Samsung washing machine on the 21-12-2012 during this time we had an E3 fault that required a wire to be repaired and the top of the washer to be replace due to a crack (under warranty). Sadly, we began to have problems with an E3 fault again and to our extreme disappointment, have now had to replace the motor and housing draw, as… Read more
the housing draw has a crack in it and as a result has been leaking water onto to motor, which has now rusted.
Good til it died – Electronic system died after 3.5 years of use! Loved it while it lasted as it washed clothes well and it had a good range of options. The daily wash is about 1 hour and it has a 15 minute option too. Angry that it died so early. No more Samsung appliances for me. Show details
Great reliable machine – Quiet well running machine. Have had for just on 3 years and never a problem. I run a hot wash on towels and sheet and have never had any build up or issues. Clothes come out great, functions say what they're going to do (i.e. Easy iron, hand wash etc) Show details
Most Unreliable Washer I've Ever Owned And No Customer Service! – I purchased this washer because it looked great and the 10 year warranty on the motor appealed to me. Unfortunately for me it's turned out to be the biggest lemon I have ever owned! My last washer was a Simpson top loader and in the 15 years that I owned it, I did not have not one issue, not one! Samsung washer (keeping in mind that it sat in a box for a few months whilst we built our home) the pump broke. I had to wait two weeks for a technician to come out.
The washer then went on to disappoint me when the CONCRETE internals split in half during a wash cycle. This washer is an extremely heavy unit, one which i cannot even push to move slightly. The concrete internals breaking caused the washer to shudder uncontrollably and even with its weight it moved from its original spot a fair way. The noise coming from the washer was unbelievable. Even after turning the power off it continued to spin. I thought it was going to explode.
The concrete internals took two weeks to replace and again I HAD TO WASH CLOTHES BY HAND!
If you do mind doing this, I strongly suggest that you do not buy a Samsung washer.
Once the technician replaced the internals the soap dispenser stopped dispensing. The soap just sits in the tray after a wash. The technician came out and said that was fine and to just chuck the soap in with the wash through the door.
If this isn't bad enough, my washer is also leaking water from the underside of the washing machine. I have had the same technician out four times who assessed the washer as no fault found. I have had Samsung staff ask that i not use the machine as it can cause electrocution.
I have reported this to Samsung Customer service and requested that they replace or refund the faulty washer immediately, but they are quite happy to hide behind the technicians report. The same technician that told me to chuck the soap in with the washing and dismissed the water leak.
Samsung are now offering to send me a $50 gift card out of good will. Not good enough Samsung keep your gift card. I'm buying myself a Simpson!
Will never buy a samsung product, their products are rubbish and their customer service is non existent!
Rubbish – After less than 3 years ownership it switches itself off randomly cycle or not, apparently the control board needs replacing for a paltry $280... Get lost Samsung going back to Bosch who I relied on up until this point that washing machine lasted 8 years ! Will never buy another Samsung appliance. Show details
If I could it us soon bad I wouldn't Even give it a one – Never have I had a washing machine that makes your clothes smell worse than when they go in. Quite reasonable with room for improvment – We settled on this because it was a third the cost of a Miele, and didn't have Miele's hopeless mouldy seal problem, however you need to be careful to always leave the door open so it doesn't start to smell. It washes well. It rinses better & spins with less creasing than the same period Bosch/Siemens as we tried one of those on the 30 day trial… Read more
and sent it back, with Bosch assuring me that their whole range would rinse & spin the same. The inverter motor is wonderfully silent - only thing you hear is the water whooshing around which is amazing (but then I think everything does this now). Spin range goes from 800 to 1200, but I would sometimes use 1000 if it was there. Annoyingly, the door doesn't open nearly as far as it should (ie our last Whirlpool) - this is a problem if you have a narrow laundry as you end up closing it to get past then forgetting to open it to let it air out. Also, it has chewed at least one garment every six months. Doesn't sound much until it's something important & the Whirlpool never did it. It's otherwise gentle enough on clothes.
Excellent washing machine – I used the Product Review site to research washing machines before I bought one. The Samsung Eco Bubble front loader had the best reviews so I got one. Three years on and it has been excellent with no problems at all so I thought I should post a review to assist others in the decision making just a I did. Don't buy anything Samsung! – Do not buy anything to do with Samsung, they are a nightmare to deal with, every step of the way. Waste of money and Samsung were no help at all – I am extremely disappointed with my machine. After a few months it started to smell. I called Samsung and they replaced the seal as they tend to go mouldy, but it still smelled. but my clothes still came out smelling of mould. The problem is still there and they have led me along saying they would fix it or replace it but now the warranty has run out and they said they can't do anything. I am furious as it is just 2 years old and I reported this a year ago. I think the bubblewash ends up putting soapy bubbles in behind the machine drum which causes mould to grow. Do not buy in my opinion, as Samsung wont help you. You are sent to a call centre in the Philippines who offer no help at all. The item is not fit for purpose as it doesn't clean your clothes and make them smell nice. Instead they smell like mould!
A consistently good wash – I have had this for over a year now and it was a real change from the top loaders I had before. I don't often have very dirty washing, so I tend to stick to the quick wash option, which gets my clothes, towels and sheets quite clean on the 40 minute option. The spin doesn't get the clothes as dry as my old top loader, so if the drying conditions… Read more
are not wonderful, I sometimes give the load an additional spin before pegging it out to dry. You do need to be careful to ensure the door is left open between uses or you will get mould growing in the rubber seal. I have bought and used a pack of Washing Machine cleaner from the supermarket and use it every couple of months, as directed on the Samsung website, at a much lower strength than the packet states. This has helped keep the machine operating effectively.
Disgustingly bad machine – I purchased this machine late Nov. 2013, but didn't take it out of the box until April 2014. By August, this machine was leaving big dark unmovable stains on my clothes. Samsung's after care was initially good, they sent out a technician who advised me there was no manufacturing fault with the machine. He advised that it was 'dirt and grease… Read more
build up' in the drum which is common in Samsung machines. Apparently to stop this from happening, these machines need to regularly run hot cycles 60 degrees and above. In addition, the machine needs to regularly be descaled. Slightly annoyed, I followed these instructions to ensure no more clothes were damaged. Unfortunately they were and I called Samsung again. Since then, I have had nothing but problems with Samsung's after care.
My problem is.. most clothes need to be washed at 40 degrees or below, not 60 or over as recommend by Samsung, to maintain this machine. This means regular drum washes also need to carried out to maintain the 'cleanliness' of this machine. Despite this, there is still (according to the technician) dirt build up behind the drum of the machine, they argue that this is not a manufactures fault, but rather its my fault because I am failing to care for my machine. Samsung have offered to send out a technician to show me how to use the machine properly which is absurd!! I have followed the technician and the user manual guidelines perfectly and the problem has failed to resolve.
When making a washing machine there should be some kind of compatibility between clothing care and washing machine care. Clothes can't with heat of 60 degrees and higher and washing machines can't run all the time just to self clean between washes. Samsung can't blame the consumer for this.
Also since reading the manual there 7.5kg capacity is misleading. This machine can only wash up to this capacity on one wash cycle. The rest of the cycles can only wash 4kgs or less, as per the user manual. Neither the technician nor Samsung could tell me if this was wet or dry clothing.
Also, care instruction by Samsung regarding descaler are inconsistent with the descaler instructions. This means that if you are following the instructions of the descaler which bet protect your clothes, you fail to follow the Samsung instructions.
Will probably be calling consumer affairs today. No person who pays that much money for a machine to wash their clothes deserves to have their clothes, bedding etc damaged. Not good enough Samsung.
Very Happy – Very happy with my Samsung washing machine. Love the "my cycle" setting which allows you to set the temperature, spin speed etc to your own specifications. It is quiet and our clothes come out fresh and clean. You will need to put small items in a laundry bag otherwise they get trapped in the rubber insert at the front of the tub.Love the quick… Read more · 1
wash setting - only 15 mins and great for washing new clothes or ones that need a quick freshen up. The hand wash cycle is gentle on clothes. A cotton wash cycle can take over 2 hours and a cold cotton wash 2.45 hours, but this isn't unusual with front loaders. My only gripe is that I wish their drain hose was a little longer, as we have our dryer above our machine, and our old machine must have had a longer drain hose - so now my washing machine isn't directly under my dryer. But overall it is a great machine.
Love it :) – Love my Machine have had it over a year and nothing has gone wrong the only thing I could fault about it is if you spill some powder or washing liquid on the writing and wipe it up the writing comes off. Love the programming and how you can make your own wash. Make your own program Writing comes off if you spill powder or liquid soap and wipe it up
Usable, not great – I've been using the machine for 5 months. This is a Chinese product, not Korean. During spin, the left panel rattles sometimes. There is water hammer present. When taking on water, the inlet valve does not open just once, instead it turns on/off, on/off, every freaking 3 seconds, producing water hammer every time. Depending on water level,… Read more
this hammering occurs 10-22 times during *every single fill
up*. The hammering wears out the valves, and hammers the house pipes. The designers were mad. No anti-hammer valves used in this model.
Yes, I do have a separate anti-hammer contraption installed, not much help.
The same goes for pumping the water out: during each single pump out, the pump
turns on/off several times. Every time the pump stops, water is sucked back into the hose, producing a loud gurgling sound. The gurgling can be heard outside the house.
Annoying.
There is no Delicate cycle.
The "hand wash" program is useless, there is not enough time to even dissolve
the washing powder. And soak is disabled for this program. After such "hand
wash", the clothes come out wrinkled, and not too clean.
The "gentle cradling action" is false, the clothes are still turned and slammed,
only less so.
Many "programs" are gimmicks, with little differences between them.
On the display, the "Options" are represented by small hieroglyphs, unclear,
non intuitive. You have to look up in the manual to decipher them.
The door doesn't open full 180 degrees - may be inconvenient in a small laundry.
The end-of-washing melody can be turned off, but then you have no
announcement for end of washing. No simple 3 beeps. So, your choices are either an annoying melody, or no announcement at all. It still works. It does it's job. Doesn't leak. Doesn't walk. You can set up to 5 rinses. The custom program is invaluable.

Love My Bubble Wash – Have had this washer for about 15 months and haven't had any issues so far. It's quiet and the bubble wash feature is very efficient. The clothes have been coming out clean, even on the quick wash feature which I will usually set to about 40 mins.I really like the look of this washer too, the silver door looks nice. Quiet, looks good, does a great job
Excellent – I have had the Samsung WF756UMSAWQ washing machine since 10/2013 and it has been fantastic.I haven't used all the settings yet but I have found that it is very easy to use.I love the quick wash cycle which is about 15 minutes. I was umming and ahhing about the Samsung and finally bought it after reading all the good reviews here and in a review magazine. It has been fabulous so far. Ease of use and quick wash cycle
Very happy domestic goddess! – What a great machine. So quiet, clothes cleaner than my old hover ever did. Spin cycle fantastic. As far as value for money is concerned l definately got what l paid for and more. Not too much wrong with it at all , hopefully thats how it will be. Worth every cent!
Good machine, very quiet – I recently had to purchase a new washing machine after my 10 year old Whirlpool front loader finally died. of my price range. I decided on the Samsung from good online reviews and the fact it was recently chosen best machine by Choice magazine. I was surprised that neither Harvey Norman or Good Guys recommended this machine to me after all the good reviews I had seen. I ended up getting the price price from Appliances Online and they took away my old machine too, which is a huge bonus.
I have a toddler and I am using cloth nappies so I use my machine A LOT! So far it has met all my expectations; it washes well, has a lot of wash options (though I wish this model had the add a garment option as I am always forgetting to put something into a load) and is super quiet. The only thing I hated about my Whirpool was the fact that it sounded like a jet was taking off in my laundry when it did a spin cycle. The only criticism I have so far is to agree the with review of RR, it does get small items stuck in the door. None of my items have been ruined yet but they come out very dirty and slimy from all the dirty water that has gone through them. Super quiet and a lot of wash options Small items get stuck in the door
Great Washing Machine – I purchased this Samsung front loader in November 2012 and it has been a good machine (and hope it will continue as such) to date. This is my third front loader so there is no surprise that it has long cycles - though some of the options are quite 'short' in comparison eg a daily wash. different. The display on the front of the machine clearly shows what each cycle entails after selection, ie number of rinses, speed of spin, temperature of water etc. But each 'set' cycle can be adjusted if an extra spin or rinse or adjustment is wanted. It takes either liquid or powder and I would say this is the best machine I have had for being able to use powdered detergent, as it fully dissolves - no residue left on clothes. Also copes very well with either a very small or full load ie does not become unbalanced and does not move from it's spot. It's a good size for a family of five as it's the largest machine I've had (I think my first was a 5.5kg then 6.5) so I can do less washes in a week with this 7.5 kg.
UPDATE: Died Dec 2018. Machine's electrical board started playing up - intermittently would not switch on - for a couple of weeks until it would not turn on at all. Repairman said it was repairable but not worth the cost - essentially the cost of a new machine. I recall when it was a motor that would give out on machines, not electrical boards; frustrating as nothing else wrong with it. Clear program information; quiet; can override set cycles; large
Really happy – I purchased this machine to replace my old 6.5kg Simpson top loader. So, there are two parts to my review - top loader to front loader, and then my opinion on this machine. take about the same time.
- Fast spin cycles mean things definitely come out dryer.
- Granted, 7.5kg of washing is 7.5kg of washing - but I could stuff more into my 6.5kg top loader (with blankets that were definitely more than 6.5kg!).
- I really need to raise the front loader up onto something.
- It's external measurements are smaller than my top loader.
As for the Samsung WF756UMSAWQ:
- It is so quiet that I spent the first week checking it was actually working.
- There are a good number of choices for various wash cycles.
- I enjoy being able to completely customise my wash - from temperature, to spin speed, to number of rinses, bubbles or not, then save it as a favourite for quick use next time.
- Clothing that I could never quite get clean (like kids socks) come out almost like new.
- My husband is a mechanic and for the first time his clothes come out of the machine smelling like detergent and not having that ever present engine oil odour (using the outdoors cycle).
- This might sound funny, but the pile on my towels comes out standing up. (Yes, it's a good thing)
- I'm not sure if this is a front loader thing, or specific to this machine, so I will pop it here. I washed a polar blanket and when I opened the door there was a little pile of matted hair sitting at the door waiting for me to throw out. It wasn't all tangled in the clothes or in the filter. Have to be happy with that!
My only complaint is that I didn't change to a front loader sooner. A month in and I am so happy with this machine. Very quiet, great choice of wash cycles, washes so much better than my previous machine, reduced water usage. Smaller barrel size than my old 6.5kg top loader (but that's probably a good thing and will stop me from overloading!).
Well engineered, poorly supported – I've owned front loaders before, and would never use a guzzling top loader again. In my experience spin speeds and fancy programs make little difference - it will take 2.5 hours to gently clean, rinse and spin a load of mixed washing. You also don't need to spend more than $800 for a well engineered machine, such as this one. It's quiet, well… Read more
sized, well balanced, washes and spins great - and has a pump (called bubble wash) which helps dissolve detergent fully - great in cold water.
In terms of drawbacks, the default is to internally heat the water (what a waste of power) so you must remember to set the program to cold each time (it has a "favourite" you can set). Also, despite the machine having cold and hot water tap inlets, I can get nobody at Samsung customer support to tell me how I can get the machine to fill up with water from the hot tap! How could something so basic in a washing machine be unknown?
Samsung also can't explain the differences between the programs in real terms, like water levels and wash times. The user manual is vague on what the programs do, leaving the end user to guess at what might actually happen. What would you expect "denim" or "daily wash" to do, and why would you choose this over the "cotton" program? Who knows. Such a shame that the advantages of such a carefully engineered product is hidden from the public by ignorant customer support and marketing departments.
So, 5 star engineering, 0 star support = 3 star rating from me. It could have been different Samsung. Above average washer, at the right price. Csutomer support have no idea how it actually works, which limits the benefits.
The machine self heats the water up to 40-45 degrees. Any higher than that the machine will use water from the hot water tap.
It's soooo quiet!! – So far this machine has been great. Clothes come out cleaner than my old Westinghouse top loader. Water consumption is very low.
