The Best! – Have had it for 12 years and now unfortunately after some shocking noises this week, it seized. Sad to see it go. Loved the controls and its performance. Looking for one similar. It was certainly built to last. Show details · 1
Worked great for 13 years – Mine just died. Bought in 2011. Stopped progressing over the programs. Just drain works. Show reply
build to last – Mine just died (kind of) today after I bought it back in around 2011... that's 12 years of use... and I think it's still repairable i I want to find mechanic to replace the belt. Show details · 1
Excellent product – Mine just died today after about 11years! The drum gave in and I guess it was worth it! I’ll be buying another samsung washing machine soon that’s for sure! Samsung all the way Show details
Still going excellent..9th year – Going well for the 9th year. Only problem during 8th year was water not getting drained. Watched some YouTube vidoes and opened up the side panels and to the water pump etc...it was some hairs clogging the pump which may have got stuck over the years. Noise level ok for that old model. I couldn't find a fault in this unit so far. I have another Samsung product which I won't talk about here but going strong in its 9th year as well. Show details
Suddenly brokedown – It worked reasonably well unit today, Suddenly there was a big knocking sound coming while spinning and in about half an hour stopped .. and that was the end. We bought if about 4 years ago, and expected a reasonable life out of it. I think these white goods should work at least 10 years without trouble. It is a massive environmental damage they… Read more
do by producing these substandard appliances. It is disappointing to hear that there are no replacement parts and reasonable repair service available. We have to buy another one and send this one to waste.
IT DIED after 6 years – Sounded like a mack truck, actually a jet plane. The spin cycle was always unbalanced and finally a gushing of water from something that has broken. IT DIED. and am moving on to a better product with better warranty. Show details

Dont waste your money on this machine – At only 4 years old his machine is a waste of money, takes longer than the specified times. Not long out of warranty and parts cannot be found for repairs. The fabric conditioner doesn't work and it has cost nearly $200.00 to find out that the part cannot be replaced. Show details
Planned obsolescence – Broke down suddenly after 5 good years. They used a poor metal for the spider spindle, which reacts with the metal of the drum and cleaning liquids. It totally corroded and completely broke into pieces. If they didn't plan this to fail, it would go on for ages. Maybe well over a decade. Everything else inside was absolutely pristine. The bearings… Read more
still look and feel brand new. The drum is still clean inside and out. Just this ONE crucial part totally corroded and crumbled.
Seems like a common failure on these. 100% they would have known this would happen after the warranty period of 2-3 years and they expect that to be good value for the 400-700 the machine costs. Others are on YouTube showing the same issues on the other side of the world with Samsung.
Very disappointed the spider kit broke after 6 years – Not very happy with my machine thought I expected to get more use out of that. Only did 2-3 washes a week and now just 6 years the spider kit broken. When check up they said this is quite common for Samsung. It cost more to repair than buy a new one. Show details
Works well – I mainly use the Quick 29minute cycle as our clothes never get very dirty. Good 7.5kg capacity so no problem washing QS sheets with pillow cases in one load. Like the option to choose the temp, how many rinses and cycle speed with some of the dial choices. Very happy with this machine, have had no problem with it. Show details
Spider arm broke after 5.5years – Washed and rinsed clothes well on Quick cycle, didn't find the spin cycle too noisy. I liked I could adjust the temperature and spin cycle speed for each individual load. Thw wool wash treated my woollens very carefully, especially the hand-knits. Very disappointed it only lasted 5.5 years, with 5-6 washes per week. Repairman said this breakage… Read more
fault is not uncommon in Samsung front loaders. For the money, I was hoping for 10 years from the machine, for the money paid. Costs of repair not worth it (estimated $500+).
Samsung top loader totally stuffed after 3 1/2 years – Worked well until the machine totally broke down, the spinner brackets have broken leaving the machine unable to spin. Repair man stated it would cost more to repair but on a postitive he did say that I was lucky to get three years work out of a samsung front loader. So I guess I'm happy , just not feelin it yet Show details

Wish I had never bought it – occassionally it does wash and rinse clothes but when it doesn't which is more often than not you need half a day for one load. I have another discription than wearing out the clothes, it is now known as the shredding machine. The noise the it can make is that of an old red rattler train. And my favourite feature of this machine is if I… Read more
eventually get a clean wash at all. I have found Samsung below par in addressing the issues of this machine.
Started out ok – This machine worked very well for a couple of years, then the bearings went. Samsung are giving a full refund as it was still under warranty, but it's taking months to process. The inconvenience of not having a washing machine during this time doesn't bother them! The customer service is pathetic. I will never recommend or buy another Samsung household appliance.
Was amazing... For 12mths – I loved this machine but after 12mths the wash cycles took longer than the timer indicated. 2yrs in and the water pump died. 2.5yrs and it has completely died. Im a huge Samsung advocate but this washer is terrible and i wont be buying another!
Good washer but stopped working 12 months in – I've had this machine for just on 12 months and it has been good to date. The time taken to wash is about 30% longer than indicated, for example the "29 min wash" takes 40 mins. Two days ago the whole machine stopped working which is very disappointing as the LG I had prior to this lasted about 5 years. I'll stick to samsung for tvs and phones but won't buy a washing machine from them again
A good workhorse, I love it! – I've had my machine for two years now, purchased it from the Good Guys for around $500. It's been used at least daily and I often overload it but I haven't had a problem. The seals need to be wiped down regularly and I leave the door open when not in use to let it dry out, otherwise it can get a bit smelly. I only need to drain & clean the filter… Read more
every 3-4 months. The spin cycle is noisy but doesn't last long. My biggest problem with it is that one tiny kid's sock often gets stuck up against the door and doesn't get washed properly, so annoying! Apart from that, I would recommend it for anyone who has huge volumes of washing to do.
Does the job but not reliable... Broke down after 3 years... Not repairworthy – Frankly this machine does good job. I was very impressed with that throughout 3 years. But all of a sudden on 7th of this august, the bearing or shaft that connects the stainless steel diamond drum to external drum broken down. The technician recommended not to repair as it is not that worthy for the price. So i bought fisher and paykel washsmart… Read more
8 kg machine.
However this machine was under extended warranty so not all money wasted. But, personally after this experience, i would recommend everyone "do not go for extended warranty with lumley". Refer my other review for lumley retail insurance.
However back to the topic, i would not go with samsung washing machine, i don't believe they make reliable product. Quality of the wash, Less water, Less energy, Various programs. Very very Noisy, Shacks the whole house, Not reliable.
Not bad, easy to use – Owned this washer for a year now. I use this washer 2-3 times a week and it's still going good. Clothes come out nice and clean using the Detergent and Fabric Softener sections only. During the spin it sounds like a high pitch jet which can be heard from the other side of the house. Not a bad thing for me because i know when it's nearly finish.… Read more
The timer for each type of wash is out of time, it takes 30% longer than the initial expected time for each setting. Reasonably priced. Easy to use. Timer countdown is off. Takes 30% longer than indicated.
Not bad - difficult to clean – Good machine, cleans the clothes well. Have had it for 3 years now and it does about 2-3 loads a day. Does well with delicates and hand wash esp. Down side is that it is hard to keep clean, the tray with the washing powder/softner easily get mouldy and it is hard to get in to clean it, also a lot of muck deposits in the rubber seals in the door. Oh and it is very noisy! Good clean hard to clean & noisy
Does the job – bought this from AO at a really good price. Nice looking, decent machine. However it is a little noisy, you can hear it whining in the laundry, from dining hall of 10meters away, separated by closed door. Like it, for the design and price, but not the noise from it. Clean design, great price noisy

Not the best – i went from a toploader to this samsung front loader ive had it for aprox 2 years now i was doing a load of washing the other day and i heard a loud noise quickly ran to the washing machine a metal spring had popped out from under the rubber and ripped my daughters size 1 jeans one of the legs were completely ripped off and my shirt was ripped..… Read more
my partner trIed fixing it put the spring back in and fixed to rubbers but now the waters leaking down the front of my machine it was a great machine for the first year. I also find it really hard to clean the rubber seal i have young children so dont keep the door opened to air it for obvious safety reasons so the rubbers are constantly getting mouldy i hate that i cant add a shirt etc at the beginning of a load i purchased this machine for just over $500 and despite the cost i will not be reccomending this machine.
Stains clothes – Absolutely HATE this machine. It ruins my white clothes by placing some grey like stain on them. Have never used fabric softener so that's not the issue. White clothes become grey and dull also. Some clothes get caught in between the seal and the wash leaving them to circle in dirty water (not small items as I put them in a wash bag). On any… Read more
setting that only does 2 rinses (like daily) have to change to 3 as the clothes come out with powder residue on them. Cotton wash cycle (for family of 5 loads) take 2 hours on a cold wash. I always turn the spin speed down to 800 so it doesn't ruin fibers. Expensive towels would come out all stiff. Will never buy a Samsung washing machine again. In fact I am replacing it after 3 years as I can't stand ruining any more clothes. Ridiculously loud during spin. A jet in my laundry. Gentle on clothes (little tangling). That I could set the spin speed to 800. No lint problems. Stained and ruined clothes. Takes so long for decent washing. Have to manually set everything as the auto settings are ineffective. LOUD
Bad – Spin cycle rips and tears in clothing.. The machine eats the clothes too. keeps stopping because it isn't draining properly through washes. Pain in the ass to drain... Every time. Absolute Crap. Countless times having to go to the laundromat to get washing done. So not worth buying. I do not recommend.
Just awesome – I bought this machine about a year ago, and it's freaking awesome. Uses little water, and pretty quiet (except on spin cycle, then it sounds like a jet). The machine doesn't have a hot water connector, instead heating water inside the machine, which one would assume uses a lot more energy. I've only used the hot water option twice, because cold… Read more
water works fine.
Samsung as a brand are very reliable, so I hope this machine lasts into the future. If you have a large family, you may want to buy a bigger loading machine.
Nice work Samsung. quiet, removes stains, doesn't damage clothes
A C+ at best – We have had this washing machine for over 2 years. In this period we have had a couple of hiccups with the machine which generally could be solved by turning off the power than back on. We have found that the machine deals ok with minor food stains but does a poor job with heavier stains. Biggest reason I would NOT recommend this machine is… Read more
because it is absolutely incompetent at removing dust, the filter does not collect them and just leaves them on the clothes. Price Poor cleaning ability
Excellent washer – I bought this washing machine to replace my ailing top loader and because The Good Guys had it on sale for just over $500. I have never looked back. It is excellent on any size load and has alot of options for different wash cycles. It uses very little energy and is very easy to set up. I would recommend it to anyone. Easy to use and doesn't use much energy Can be a little loud when performing a spin cycle.
A great inexpensive family washing machine – Great on water (we are on tank water - so this was a major concern), and only consumes power if you wash in warm - hot water - hence the energy rating being low. I would recommend this to anyone. Big load capacity, can wash doonah / king size bedding, easy to keep clean i.e the fluff and stuff just sits in the front where you unload the machine..… Read more · 2
Quiet, beeps to let you know it is finished - but doesn't beep all day if you forget. Also the number of different cycles, and that you can change the spin cycle; the rinse cycle amounts etc. Very easy to use. Great machine. As above water rating, price, capacity for large items. The only thing I don't like about front load washing machines in general is you can't add something that you may have missed once you press that start button.
The best washing machine I've ever had! – When my last top loader was no longer worth repairing (again), I started looking for a front loader because I heard they used less water. I didn't want to spend a lot of money but wanted a big capacity to accommodate my large family. I chose the Samsung primarily because I could get a 7.5kg capacity in a brand I knew for about $550. It is the… Read more
cheapest washing machine I have bought in the last 20 years but is by far the best. I wash at least twice everyday and everything goes in the wash - clothes, sheets, donnas, stuffed toys...you name it! The results are impressive, even on the quick cycle. The machine is much gentler on clothes than my old top loaders but still gets them clean and everything keeps its shape. And, as an unexpected bonus, my gas hot water bill has more than halved because the machine heats its own water! We're almost at the end of the standard warranty period but this little beauty hasn't skipped a beat so I expect several problem free years. Well priced and consistently produces good results
stopped draining – HAve only had my new machine two weeks and now it has stopped draining with a 5E error. Have followed all instructions numerous times in draining remaining water and checking filter and making sure drain hose okay. Still cannot figure out what is wrong. This machine worked like a dream until now :( clothes came out looking cleaner than ever stopped draining...I hear the drain pump trying to work but then just stops
What happened with your warranty claim? How do you rate their response time & service?

Excellent – We have had this machine for almost a year and a half and it has been excellent. Quiet, washes clothes very well and with the large front door, easy to load, including the large items like quilt covers. Good price, quiet operation and small water usage
