Machine stopped just out of warranty – Must say as a premium product extremely disappointed in this machine, at around a year old main board had to be replaced, couple of years later touch panel unresponsive( Samsung was good and replaced this out of warranty), now a year later almost to the day machine just completely freezes then refuses to turn back on, I have samsung everything tv,… Read more
phones, fridge, microwave, all good, but this washer is disapointing door seal leaked from day one, it's a good thing these are no longer available not sure how the new ones go but I will never know, previous cheap fisher and paykel lasted ten years without issue.
Terrible Service for a customer who was trying to stick with Samsung – My machine was five years old. It leaked from the beginning (but never enough for me to bother doing anything about it- I just soaked it up with a towel, as it didn’t happen every time) and within a year the “add wash” door cracked and broke in two places. Despite that, I stuck with the machine until the motor broke. When that happened the repair… Read more
man told me he could order a new part, which I was happy to do, however he couldn’t guarantee how long I would be waiting for the part and said he had seen some people wait for up to three months. Not wanting to be without a washing machine for long, I personally got on the phone to Samsung. I explained that I wished to stick with my Samsung machine if they could tell me how long it would take to get the part. The customer service lady said that information is not available unless I paid for the part first. I said I was not willing to pay unless I knew how long the wait was and asked why she could not give me that information, as surely someone would be able to say how long the wait was. She still refused. I was left baffled as to how they can expect to take people’s money without giving them any information about how long it will take for a part to arrive. I subsequently purchased a Bosch washing machine and have been much happier with that machine, having had zero issues.
Rubbish machine – Board gave up at 4 years old so throw away not worth the repair costs - great size but very aggressive washer on clothes would NEVER buy a Samsung washing machine again. Show details

Been using it for last 2 years without a problem – Picked this machine because of the Add on window in 2017. That key feature works for me every time. First thing in the morning, I go to the laundry room and empty the basket and start the machine. Then house cleaning while my daughter is eating breakfast. Guess what I have found under the sofa, bed and kitchen... towel, sockes. clothes..etc. Add… Read more · 1
them into the machine as I moving along the house. Half a hour later, my little girl finishes brekky and left me with a soiled bib. Chuck it into the machine. Gives me smile and justification about 1000 dollar machinery.
I have to have one after using my daughters -“amazing”! – So easy to use, quiet in operation, loads of cycle choices from the dirtiest washing to a gentle baby’s cycle. 11kg capacity, I just filled up the machine and it washed perfectly, so it saves power usage and automatically fills with the required amount of water. The mini peep door to add that left out garment is a bonus. A must have.
I love this machine – I’ve had this washer for almost a year now and I love it. It’s huge, it’s quiet, it’s easy to use. Love having the extra door for when I forget the socks ect. I have not had any problems with this machine since buying it. Show details

Crapy door seal – Really unhappy with the door seal. I use my washing machine very carefully but the door seal has warped and water has started leaking. Not going to buy a Samsung again ☹️ Show details
After 3 years stop working – The drum stop turning after burnt smell, poor quality motor. Only two at home without kids, little use. The best of this washing machine was the add wash door, it is very usefull. Show details
Addwash Door rubber seal, door seal – Washing kid and every day laundry used. Nothing hard or ever reach over load. As it instructed cleaned and let the door open. Tried looked after it, so it long last. Add wash door seal is broken. I don’t know how, all we did open and close and rubber seal torn and broken. Samsung replied its user's fault. this, used them for 10years, changed only because cosmetic reason. Samsung add wash door gave me trouble already x 2 within 4years. This time is my fault. Who will change rubber seal regularly and they don't even have rubber seal replacement package. I won't choose Samsung next time.

Broke down after 2.5years! I won't be buying Samsung again – I spent close to $1,000 on this 11kg washer only to have it break down in 2.5years. I was advised the repair would cost $650. I certainly will never buy Samsung again. Show details
DO NOT BUY THIS WASHING MACHINE – DO NOT BUY THIS WASHING MACHINE Leaking Seal Samsung washing machine purchased 2017 with Concierge Gold We were told that the fault is caused by our negligence, accidental or deliberate misuse. Show details
Waste of Money – As a 2 person household we dont use our washing machine excessively. Broke down after 3 years as the motor went in it. Certainly not a durable machine and not fit for the purpose of washing. Always left large amounts of lint in the machine and you were always cleaning the drum and the glass. Show details
Very disappointing machine! – Machine no longer spinning properly so clothes are saturated when they come out! Quote to repair around $600 plus the $150 call out fee, so disappointing in a machine that is less than 4 years old!! Show details

Not a good machine – Purchased August 2017 and has now carked it in mid load. Reading through, seems it's a common problem and absolutely should not be happening in a 3.5 yr old machine. I've followed the instructions to emergency drain but now door is still locked shut and my clothing is trapped inside. Machine has leaked from the seal regularly and seems to… Read more
develop mouldy smells for no reason at all. The rubber bits that help seal the door gather all the gunge from the washing and it's really hard to clean, not to mention gross as all get out. The washing takes absolutely forever on most cycles. I know this seems to be the deal with front loaders these days but I wish to goodness someone would design a more practical machine for people who aren't at home all day to manage the washing. Good points (why I bought the machine) is that it's large capacity and has the ability to add clothes mid cycle. Won't be buying Samsung again, this one was a replacement for our last expensive Samsung machine that had carked it within 4 yrs.
Pos waste on money – This has to be the most expensive lemon of a machine ever bought. Has constantly leaked from.front seal even after replacing once, bought extended warranty but it only covers the motor, now it doesn't dry spin properly and has become noisy. Have checked all pipes and drain pump no problems there. Have been to by an independent technician thats its… Read more
cheaper to buy a new one now. This machine is like max 4yrs old. Will not buy samsung again. Considering this was a replacement machine from the last lemon samsung machine under warranty enough is enough.
Samsung Front Loader - poor quality/unreliable washing machine – Paid over $1200 for this top of the range Samsung front loader 4 years ago. Was working ok until recently, except occasional water leak - but now very noisy, makes a loud clatter and won’t spin at all. The bearings and spindle worn out after just 4 years! Very expensive to repair. Not what you expect after 4 years of use from a reputable brand.… Read more
Only gets used approx once or twice per week on average - hence very disappointed with Samsung durability. Bearings usually last approx 10+ years in a good quality washer. Previous Fisher & Paykel washer lasted 15 years and was still going without a problem when I changed to Samsung front loader. Big mistake. I have several Samsung TVs which are great but clearly their laundry appliances appear to be poorly made using cheap parts from what I hear. Massive inconvenience! Hoping Samsung will do the right thing. Will update. Lou

This is an bad product – This machine has had a intermittent fault of "Door Open Check" warning coming on since I bought it. This means that the machine won't work while the warning is on. The fault is intermittent and resolved itself when I rang to report it. Because there was no apparent fault I could point to, Samsung wouldn't come to fix it. Now the fault appears… Read more

Don't buy this machine. I will not buy any Samsung product again.
UPDATE. Following my initial review, I was contacted by Samsung via ProductReview. I rang Samsung back on 3 September 2020 and they said that they would send a technician to look at the machine and it would be free of charge provided I hadn't abused the machine in any way. An appointment was set for the following Monday, 7 September 2020 and I was told I would be send a confirmation and a copy of the work order. Nothing happened. Nothing at all. No follow-up, no work order, no technician. Not even a cancellation advice. So not only are Samsung's machines awful, so is their customer service.

Board and Seal both replaced – The board and seal both failed while under warranty. Warranty would only cover the board, not the seal which is also a common fault. This cost around $140 to replace. I hope other people are having more luck Show details

Same as everyone else: water dripping underneath the door for 3yo machine used weekly at most – This is crazy, top of the range super expensive "intelligent" washing machine from samsung and laundry floor covered in water after every wash. Was watching closely and indeed seems to be the seal issue as water is dripping from under the door. I dont care about stupid messages "wash is over" popping on my Samsung TV i just want reliable washing… Read more

Worked really well until 2 years and 1 month old. Edit - 5 years old and main bearing is going – The machine has performed well since I started using it sometime in April 2018. In early May 2020 it stopped mid-cycle and tripped the earth leakage breaker on my power board cutting all power to my house. I switched off the machine and removed the power cord to restore power to my house. I contacted Samsung to see if anything could be done… Read more
since it was just out of warranty. The Samsung representative said it was still within 'remedy' period and organised a technician who attended 3 days later (that was the soonest available).
The technician dismantled the machine and found there had been a catastrophic failure of the pump out motor. He showed me the pump and it appeared that a part of the armature on the motor had detached and pierced the wall of the motor and pump's casing which had allowed water ingress. The resulting short circuit also destroyed the main board of the washer.
All parts were replaced and the machine repaired under warranty, however I am alarmed that a relatively new and reasonably expensive machine could fail so spectacularly. If I did not have an earth leakage breaker it could have caused a fire or electrocuted anyone who touched the machine. I am concerned that I probably only have another couple of years life left given my experience and other reviews and am disappointed that I purchased this machine. The service from Samsung has been great but I wish I didn't have to call on it in the first place and just got a good decade of fuss free service out of the machine like people who buy Miele or Maytag products appear to enjoy.
** Edit **
At 5 years 4 months old, the main bearing in the machine is making a very loud noise. I suspect this will be fatal to the machine. Really not good enough.

Good machine, just wish it had lasted longer than 4 yrs – I bought the previous model (10kg without addwash window) in September 2015 that was replaced under warranty less than 2 years later. The replacement was the above model that was great (and used on average once a day for the almost 4 years we had it). I loved the range of cycles (including shorter washes), the add wash window and the size of the… Read more
machine was a big bonus too.
It stopped spinning late last year, and not being under warranty anymore we decided to have it fixed. Turns out the bearings needed to be replaced. Only 4 months later it's doing the same thing again, and not spinning :( I can't justify the cost of getting it fixed again compared to just buying a new machine, so have decided to give a different brand a try. While it was working I really couldn't fault it, but just would have hoped for it to last a bit longer.

Do not buy - Dodgy machine and Dodgy parts – My wife and I puchased this machine January of 2018 and were 2 weeks outside the 2 year warranty when one day halfway through a wash cycle the machine died. No power, no display, just a drum full of water (slowly dripping out the door seal like everyone elses) and a trapped load of washing. After finishing the emergency drain and rescuing our… Read more
cloths, I called Samsung Care who at this point were kind enough to send a technician out under warranty 3 days later. The technician replaced both boards (top and bottom), and when we got the power and display back we thought we were golden...
Halfway though the diagnostic test power cuts out again, and we get a burning smell from the washer. Your washing machine potentially creating an electrical fire is not a good enough reason for Samsung to replace the thing, with them now 3 weeks and countless calls later, sending out another technician from another company comes out to diagnose a problem with a main board that has already been replaced!
So in short, our machine developed the very common leak with door, blew up 2 weeks outside of warranty, was fixed with brand new Samsung parts, just to blow up again. It is now 3 and a half weeks with no washer, and a truly horrific experience with Samsung Care and their warranty.
We used to buy everything Samsung; phones, tv's, fridge, washer but after our experience (which still isn't over), we will not buy Samsung again.
It's perfectly understandable that you're frustrated… Read more

A few leaks, now board gone – The machine has been working well since we got it in August 2016 (I think). We've had a few leaks which seems to be common, but now it looks like the board has gone. Not only did it stop mid cycle and we can't turn it on, it's still full of clothes and we can't get the door open! I just read another review with the same issue and Samsung were able… Read more
to fix it under their extended warranty, but unfortunately we don't have an extended warranty. Not sure how much this will cost to fix, but perhaps it's better to look at a new machine. It'd be pretty crappy to think a machine 3 years old could already need to be replaced rather than throwing money at it to fix it.

Seal Leaking, 4 months out of warranty – Thought I spend money to buy a good washing machine that would last. Machine is under 2.5 years old and seal has started leaking. Stopped working right after warranty expires, NOT met consumer expectation (solved) – About a month after the 2-year warranty period the $1,300 machine stopping draining property, it now leaves load very wet. Of course it will all be at your cost.
No. My children will not be returning to school until the day the uniforms are released by this Samsung captor and finally washed, thats if they are recoverable and not permanently damaged from mould and irreversible stains.
No. I will not be repurchasing all their school uniforms so that they can go to school tommorow.

Crappy door seal! – Seems like the door seal is a major fault and they love to make it ‘customer error’. Seems like there have been many and mine will probably be swept under the rug like the others. Well here is further proof that they must have a fault. Machine just under 2 years old (so in warranty) and I know how to safely put clothes in it. So blaming me isn’t going to work here. Door seal – Please read Cindy's review, I thought for a minute I had already written one and forgotten! I have read other reviews where the door seal becomes torn or has a tear. I rejected Samsung's claim that this was customer error, so they said I could call a technician out (at my cost) and referenced two places. I rang each place and was not 'allowed' to speak to the technician. I could book one out at a cost of $170 or $165 though! Then when the technician agreed it was MY FAULT I could have this fixed for $240. I thought, after having spoken to Samsung twice, that there was very little chance of a technician blaming Samsung. I can get it fixed and then have an independent reviewer report on the seal's damage and if they agree it is not my fault then I could retrospectively request my expenses back. ACCC are thinking court case. Don't buy this machine. A really quick search of reviews shows at least 4 or 5 people having to cough up and pay for the replacement of the door seal before the year is even up.

also had a an error code which is something to do with water supply. I contacted Samsung and they sent a technician out to replace the door lock and a circuit board. This did not fix any of the issues. The technician came out again and checked the machines heating coil. Decided this might be the problem so ordered new parts. Came out another week and a half later and replaced the heating coil and the front Circuit panel. At this stage my machine wouldn't even turn on and once the parts were installed the machine still will not turn on. Technician said that that might be Technician said that that might be some other thing but I said I now will just like to get a refund or replacement. Called Samsung and they are now saying they need to send out an assessor to look at the machine and write a report and send that back to a case manager to organise a refund or replacement. They are coming out tomorrow. So far this process has taken about a month. I have five children one of which is 6 weeks old. I've gone without a washing machine for a month. Very disappointed with the washing machine and will be requesting a refund as I do not want this machine again especially after reading other reviews on how bad other people's experiences have been.
