Puts marks on clothes – My blue shirt before wash (I'm on the right) and after washing on Daily Wash. This has happened to a number of my clothes. They come out dirtier than when they went in. I'm mystified as to what this could be. Have never had this happen before. I separate whites, coloured or towels and have never had a problem before with any other machine. Have… Read more

Samsung front loader – Have found this machine frustrating, unless load is perfectly balanced seems to be hard to turn on. The machine outer skin seems to have shifted leaving some of the buttons depressed.

Reliable washing machine that has lasted many years – Have had this washing machine for over 4 years now and it's always been reliable and easy to use. It has a good range of washing options although the cotton washes are quite long at over 2 hours. It's generally quiet and you can set a timer if you need to start a wash at a later time. Show details ·  1

It needs at least 2 hours to wash a full load of clothes – Bought this capacity of 7.5kg 4 years barely to use its all functions from either extra long hours wash or 15min wash, which waste so much water without having your clothes washed and clean.

Quiet machine, priced pretty good – Just want to shout out for the Samsung Washing Machine we got. Been using it for a few months now. It was priced within our budget which is why we bought it. A big upgrade from our 10 year old machine! The best thing about: It is so quiet, living in a 2 bed apartment - on the first night we were surprised that we couldn't hear anything in… Read more

the laundry cabinet that we had to go check on the machine was working.

The length of time it takes to do a wash doesn't really effect us much. So if that's a concern you should be looking at other ones.

LOADS TAKE FAR TOO LONG! – Why does it take so long to run a load of washing? I weighed the load prior to washing (under 5 kg) and it is taking 3 hours and 20 minutes!!!! It also takes the same time to wash 1 queen size duvet cover, I queen size sheet, three pillow cases and two pillow protectors as it does to wash a very small load of underwear. I have tried the 15… Read more

minute quick wash but it does not spin the washing very well.

According to the User Manual, after 40 washes a message should appear on the screen to advise of a drum clean being required - I have never seen this message and recently I called the help line due to the machine not shutting down automatically after a load ,- once I did the clean (which took nearly 2 hours!) the machine is working again.

This is the most disappointing washing machine that I have ever owned and I will never buy Samsung again. I am not surprised that this machine has been discontinued - I wish that I had read the reviews before buying.

Cycles far too long...imagine the power bill – Great machine except for the long long long cycle times. Also the manual does not show what every item on the screen means...just a whole lot of numbers..Also If you press the spin button accidentally more than once does that mean you want 2 extra spins have you got a minus button.so you can reduce the spins...need plus and minus buttons.  Show details

Simple! – Really straight forward to use and has every function we can dream of. We even took advantage of the awesome heat function and no need to install a hot water connection for ensuring the kids clothes were super clean. Bonus when our old machine was removed and new washer installed without lifting a finger!  Show details

Bad machine - extremely poor after sales service from Samsung – Bought the machine in Oct 2016 from Good Guys with an extended warranty. It took too long for the standard wash and clothes were extremely wrinkled and on a couple of occasions nylon (sports leggings) were actually damaged in the wash. On one occasion after the wash we noticed water leaking from the side of the door. Called Samsung who send in a… Read more

mechanic. The mechanic promptly asked for $300 to repair stating that it was not covered in warranty. After repeated follow-ups, Samsung did agree to repair it at their costs but after a couple of days before the mechanic turned they curtly cancelled the repair. Subsequently follow-ups fell on deaf ears. It was a extremely bad experience - we were left running from pillar to post. My earlier washing machines have on an average lasted for about 6-7 years. Cursing myself for having bought the Samsung brand. DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG MACHINES - POORT QUALITY & EXTREMELY BAD AFTER SALES SERVICE !!

Great size and simple to use – This is great, quiet and efficient machine. It was a replacement for an older model we had - and the only fault I can say is it now does not have the "Air Wash" function. Apart from that this machine washes well, and has that many settings for quick to slow and deep washes  Show details

Powerful washing machine – My wife is in love with this washing machine. Performance has been extraordinary. Washes clothes perfectly. we were a bit skeptical buying Samsung washing machine.. but we dont regret at all. Low noise and lot of options. I personally like the 15 minutes quick wash. Only downside is that the timer is not always accurate.  Show details

Nice machine – Quite when running. Easy to use and load washing. Laundry powder loading draw is good feature and easy to fill. One criticism I have is that most of the programmes are much too long. In fact the only programme that we use is the one for Wool at 54 minutes (and the very useful 15 minute Quick Wash). Overall satisfied and would recommend  Show details

Good washing machine – Always cleans well using the right cycle. It is a front loader so yes the cycles do take quite a while longer, but it takes a big load so it evens out. It automatically weighs the load before starting so the cycle time adjusts for smaller washes which is nice. Delayed start is super handy considering it can be 3 hours for a proper cotton clean, so… Read more

can have it start early morning and be ready to hang up. There isn't a dedicated delicates cycle (but there is woolen). Beware it only has a single water tap and has the water heater built in. Great if you don't have a big capacity hot water system or you only use cold wash (better for clothes anyway), but it isn't as energy efficient as other models.

Great washing machine - works perfectly – I've been using this for a few of months now and really like it. The new generation of machine is really quiet compared to the old one and it's bigger. I was scared reading at the reviews and especially after samsung's debacle of top loaders, this one is a sweet surprise. We love it and no running costs either. Bought it from Masters when they had a deal, includes delivery as well.  Show details

Torn seal - a common problem with this model apparently – The machine that I purchased this in early November 2016 was working well despite the long wash times. Five months after purchase, the door seal developed a tear and started leaking. I have lodged a warranty claim with Samsung but have been told by their preferred repairer that seals are no longer covered under Samsung's warranty and that… Read more

this is a common issue with Samsung washing machines. I have been told that I would be up for the cost of parts/labour $220-260. I paid $550 for this machine five months ago... this seems unreasonable. I am understandably not happy and very disappointed.

Too long – We can't use the delayed start and run our washes at night time because our taps make too much noise. And because the washes take more than 3h we can't run them when we wake up and hang them after breakie (not even on weekends!). I'm now washing in the evening when I come back from work and leave all the clothes wet in a basket until the… Read more

Too long cycles and ruins clothes – As others have commented, the regular cycles are excessively long. Also weird programs like 'baby care' and 'outdoor'...not enough autonomous control of the settings. Because it saves water presumably by taking a long time and agitating the load a lot, many of our clothes have come out with pilling, weird stretched spots, even some holes. We are… Read more

now just hand washing special/new clothing items until we can replace this mistake.

I have also noticed that even after doing a cold wash, the clothes are all warm...not sure if that is because of the machine heating up during the spin or what, but a cold wash should be cold...

I tried to contact Samsung about it which also proved difficult because of their online 'portal' thing. No response through that. Finally when I talked to technical help on the phone they just informed me that I need to make sure I am using the right cycle for the clothing items, and that the 7.5kg is only possible with the cotton cycle, and is actually the 'wet weight' (which we presumably have to guess, without knowing how much water is in the drum at the same time...?). Also with a 3 hrs wash cycle, who has the time to separate cotton and synthetics into different cycles (and what about blends?!).

Big machine, great price and quiet! – I've been using this for a few of months now and really like it. I had a 5kg Samsung which worked well and did quite a few loads per week for 8 years previously then it just stopped. The repair cost was going to be over half the price of this machine. The new generation of machine is really quiet compared to the old one and it's bigger. It… Read more

has fewer was options and I was a bit concerned as the old one had a 35 minute quick cycle whereas this one is 15 mins which I didn't think was enough however for small loads (2kg) it seems fine.

There was a deal going at Good Guys on ebay with 20% off if paying with Paypal but even with that the price at Appliances Online was better with the benefit of free delivery and removing the old machine which I can't recommend enough because these things are seriously heavy!

Too long – The Loads are to long. 15 mins is the shortest though 3.45 min is the longest. For blacks your looking at 2.29 and for intense cold 2.19 mins. Good on water and power but if you have a large family with lots of clothes i dont recommend. First time with front load. Washes clothes very well.  Show details

Too long for washing clothes – This is my mistake to purchase this product from Appliances Online. The wash programs are too long. I tried many settings but I can not find a way to reduce the time. I have to choose Wool program to accept 54-minutes wash. Other programs take 2-4 hours. That is not acceptable.  Show details

Good machine for the price – PROS: - washes well - aesthetically pleasing - sturdy unit CONS: - very loud on even lowest spin RPM setting - obnoxious tone at the end of the cycle to inform you the cycle is complete. No option to silence this or turn it off. - very long wash cycles  Show details

Wash Programs are too long – I received as a replacement washer. I'm disappointed with the cycle times. My previous Samsung front loader had a delicate and handwash cycle which were shorter cycles it also had a 29 min cycle. 3hrs 20m to wash towels is way too long. Machine is quiet and looks nice. I feel Samsung have given me a machine they couldn't sell. I wish I had… Read more

Don't waste your money or your time! – This is the worst washing machine ever! 12 useless wash cycles! E cotton that'd be economical right? Wrong! 4hours! Want a wash over 60 degrees that'll take you 2hours 40mins. Want to wash on the 15 mins at 20 degrees - that's a rinse not a wash! Biggest waste of money full stop!! I like many others do not spend my entire life washing clothes but… Read more

best energy rating with smart option – As because it has the load sensing technology it calculate and does my smaller load faster than the actual time and I like the idea of delay end option which makes it easy to have the total control to select a time to finish so I don't have to wait ! Worlds worst noisy machine. UNIMPRESSED! – This is a machine can wake up next door neighbours due to massive vibrations and noise when running. Samsung customer service via live chat or emails is third rated slow and very evasive to tell the truth in one go. Longest wash cycles in world that can earn Guinness Book world records.

Long washing cycles – I am shocked at the length of time the wash cycles are. I have just bought the machine and had no idea that a cycle would take nearly 4 hours! It was not what I was planning to get but in store it looked to have the features I wanted. I also didn't do any research or else I wouldn't have bought it.

I love this machine – Cleans clothes beautifully, although it does take 4 hours to run a complete load. This is fine for me because it usually takes me about 4 hours to forget I have the washing on, then remember, so it's done by the time my brain works again. I LOVE the delay start feature - I can load the machine before bed, delay it so it's done when I get up, and have a clean load to dry at the start of the day. Very efficient.

Wash Times Are Ridiculous - Do Not Buy – Seems to work ok but 4 hour standard wash cycle? Do not buy. Should have bought the Miele. All of the cycles either take about 4 hours or you can only put in a vastly reduced load. I should have looked at the reviews rather than listening to the staff in Harvey Norman.

Wash Cycle Takes 2-4 Hours For A Cycle – There is no way of changing the timer. How does it take 2 hours do a 7kg load? But then 15 minutes option left the clothes dripping wet. Beware of what you purchase. Since I bought this brand new I will stick to it but very disappointed in myself for not doing my research. In my opinion, do not purchase unless you don't mind waiting 2.5 hours for a load to be completed.

Beware of what you purchase! – If I had been told what the wash times of this machine were I would NOT have purchased it! Purchased from Harvey Norman - 5 weeks ago, when I rang to complain of a 4 HOUR Cotton wash, I was told I was lying!
