Pet area seating is hard and not comfortable for larger people. Take out the hard seats and put in bench seats would be great. Walk on with pet hard as have carry over ramp as large holes my dog feet fall into so have to carry him over. Can't see why can't drive on and the take my dog out or walk on with normal passengers. I and my wife visited Kangaroo Island for the first time by SeaLink 'One Day Kangaroo Island Experience' on 27 July 2025 return trip from Cape Jervis. The entire trip (ferry and coach service) was so comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable. It was very… Read more
well organised covering all interesting places within a day by allowing enough time to see each one of the attractions on this large island. Upon request, they specially arranged very delicious vegetarian lunch for us too. Over all we are very impressed with their customer service right from the booking. We strongly recommend SeaLink for Kangaroo Island tour consideration.
Follow-up · - The luxury coach service on Kangaroo Island was certainly more enjoyable than ferry service. The condition of the coach was good and seats were more comfortable. It was nice and warm inside the coach on a cold, windy and wet day. The driver cum guide was quite friendly. He was highly knowledgeable and experienced. He stopped the coach at few… Read more
Nel trasferimento del 12 luglio ore 13,30 un operatore ha aperto un portello per fare corrente creato vento tale da non poter stare. Lo ho fatto presente ma non mi ha ascoltato, ho dovuto cambiare posto
Our tour guide was knowledgeable & entertaining. As the coach sped from one location to the next he would point out where various places of interest were, but there was not enough time to stop! Lunch was excellent, and seeing koalas snoozing in the nearby trees was a bonus. A very long day. Too much time allowed to look at seals or interesting… Read more
rock formations. A highlight was the Raptor Domain at the end of the day. Unfortunately time was too short to enjoy everything there. Believe the tour would be better slowed down. Spend shorter amounts of time at a some locations to allow stops at a couple of others. And please allow more time to see all the animals and birds at Raptor. For koala lovers there is even an opportunity to hold one there - if time allows.
PS- as pick up in Adelaide is 6.30am let people know there is catering on the ferry when making the booking!
Staff at both ends are super friendly and helpful but you have a product that’s tired, outrageously overpriced and outdated. For two pensioners and car return costs amount of $515 we got filthy/soiled seat covers on EVERY seat. Snacks and beverage prices are ridiculously overpriced ( $10 for a plain s/wich? Really!) will never recommend a SeaLink trip to KI to anyone. Don’t you care! Show details
Sea link, you must b very proud to have an employee like Scott. Scott was our /driver/ tour manager and guide whilst we were on Kangaroo Island. His passion for all the creatures on his island was inspiring to say the least. His knowledge was exceptional about the wildlife and the flora. He opened our eyes abut the beauty of KI. We re so grateful he looked after us during our tour. I just had the commend him on this review. Terry
KI/port Lincoln Cruise – Boarded a P &O cruise to visit for our first time to kangaroo island. We then took a sealink bus tour checking out the local sites with a driver called Dave. He was Extremely knowledgeable with history &facts of the area townships /fauna & flora. He made extra stops to see wildlife & new all the answers to my many questions ha ha. Thank you for… Read more
making my trip memorable & hopefully we might meet you again in Spain one day? Certainly recommend a day tour of kangaroo island & get our bus driver as you will be Blessed Regards L&P
Lower all expectations – This is not a well coordination tourism service. This is a little rural town having a go. Do not expect a timetable or communication regarding service times. After a service was cancelled for weather, there was no increased services to catch up on demand, no communication regarding next sailing times and in fact it seemed no insight that this is… Read more
an inconvenience or problem at all that should trigger some planned increase to capacity. This is not a tourism service to be proud of but it does seem this is the best they can do.
Excellent day – We very much enjoyed our tour to Kangaroo Island. After our coach pick up and ferry ride we boarded a coach for the Island tour.Jo our guide was very professional and her local historical knowledge of the Island was very interesting. We saw sea lions, the Remarkable rocks,Admirals Arch and a wildlife park where we were able to feed the kangaroos and… Read more
pat the koalas.A generous 2 course meal was included which catered for my special dietary needs.Jo stopped the coach a number of times to show us the koalas , a goanna, a wedge tailed eagle, an echidna and a kangaroo all being on the road.It was great to see the fauna so close in their natural environment. My sister and I are Australians but never seen so many Aussie animals in the wild. The tour was not rushed at points of interest.A long day but well worth it
Ferry unavailable ! – Just tried to book this ferry to KI in August and all the ferries on the dates we wanted to travel are marked unavailable! What sort of ferry company is this???
Horrible company – Horrible service, our ferry was bumped and we were encouraged to wait all day in the standby line and got nowhere!!!! Then they put us on another ferry in the middle of the night and asked us to PAY EXTRA as it was a “more expensive ferry” This company has a monopoly with transport to KI, and when they have issues this leaves people stranded. … Read more
When competitors try to open up Sealink drops their prices till the competition goes broke and as soon as they have the monopoly again hitch the prices. Should be illegal. They also offer no accomodation compensation if they leave you stranded on the island.
Amazing Staff – In 2 years of travelling around Australia I have never has such great service. I rang on 2 separate occasions to change my bookings and they were only to willing to help. Hooray finally people just willing to help people!!! Thank you staff at Sealink Kangaroo Island. Show details
Such a scam, terrible service – I booked the tour and got 2 confirmation emails with the pick up time of 6.45 am. Was there on time and the bus didn’t show up. Tried calling later and they told me the bus departed already, and that it was somehow my fault as I had to reconfirm the booking?? After the fact that I received 2 (!) confirmation emails, so they are just blaming it on… Read more
something stupid. Did not get a refund at all, and got not offered any alternative. They are just stealing your money.

Know better, choose better.
Unfair cancellation policy – Beware, ridiculous cancellation policy Even with 2.5 months notice of cancellation cost $150. It’s money gouging and unfair I’ll report this to accc
Maintainence – Ask crew why air con isn't working. They told me to write complaint as the company doesn't listen to them so here it is. Enjoyed the island could have had windows or aircon on hot day return on the ferry. Show details
Terrible! Terrible! Terrible! Don’t give them chance to ruin your trip! – We booked day trip to kangaroo island with them. They confirmed to me by email to pick us up at a Adelaide CBD hotel , but the coach never shown up, not contacted us, no one pick up phone when we called to Sealink Also not give refund for their failed service. Absolutely a fraud! Don’t get your Christmas holiday ruined by Sealink! Show details
What a blatant rip off – So a return trip with car is $440. Yet equivalent trip from Queenscliff to Sorrento in Victoria is $180. Why the State Government or ACCC doesn’t tAke action for obvious monopoly price gouging is amazing. Sorry KI was looking forward to going. But 2 nights accomodation cost for a short ferry ride. Just not worth it. Show details
Taking Advantage of their Monolopy – Sealink fares to and from Kangaroo Island are outrageously expensive... they get away with it because they have Monopoly over the service to KI. They started with just the 2 KI Ferries and have grown into a huge Australian company by taking advantage of their Monopoly to KI. They also get fully booked for vehicles frequently and yet do no expand their opperating hours to later in the evenings. Show details
Expensive monopoly – Friends of ours wanted to go to Kangaroo Island like Siberia we know where it is but we don't want to go there. In this case, it's a nice island but Sealinks monopoly ruin it the island would do better if it was cheaper to get across there would be so much business they would be turning them away. The poor island is burnt so half of the… Read more
attractions are damaged, so if you went over there you wouldn't be getting the 100% of the attractions that was there a year ago. Not the fault of the island in any way shape or form yet Sealink have not budged on their profit taking to help out the struggling locals. The friends we took use their car and the exorbitant prices for the very short trip put a dampener on the weekend. Sadly, will not be going back again until Sealink come to their senses or we buy a boat of our own
Aggressive and threatening – The boarding process to get on ferry to K.I. was very disappointing. As I tried to get my car on to ferry, one of the operators became overtly threatening and aggressive. Highly distressing.
