Sealy Posturematic Energise Adjustable Bed Base

" massage " motors are not great – We purchased the Queen Energise base with a Sealy Flex Mattress. The Mattress is great, the base however, seems to move in the wrong areas when adjusting. Press the feet raising button and it raises the centre etc. Press the foot massage and the motor at the head end starts. The led light is not bright, or adjustable, and looks very cheap. I… Read more
definitely have it around the right way, as the Mattress retainer is at the foot end. Maybe the wiring is back to front, but I'm no electrician and it's too bulky and heavy to return.
Update: After quite a few back and forth emails and missed calls, a technician attended our house and diagnosed that the motor was installed backwards and the wiring was incorrectly fitted. They fixed it, but it still makes a loud metal on metal noise while using the massage function, and the original problem motor shuts itself down after progressively getting weaker during use. It turns back on after sitting for awhile. I reported these additional problems but am yet to hear back after a week, so the review is being published as is. If they sold a quality product to begin with there wouldn't be any issue, 100% not my fault, yet have to jump through hoops to get it rectified.
This is for the Sealy Inspire posturematic – Wow what a bed. We were gifted this bed. The steel frame is quality. The queen bed comes apart in two pieces for ease of transport. The set up is extremely easy. Two usb ports for charging. Zero gravity button. The charcoal padding is excellent. Complimented with the correct Sealy mattress and the comfort factor is second to none. Sealy customer… Read more · 1
service was also outstanding. Jayden and Emily were very helpful. This bed is perfect for my bad back and neck. As the bed was a gift there's no price I can give but the online price starts at 1600 dollars.

the bed is comfortable but the bed is to high for my mother to get into – I was told by the sales person that the legs could be ajusted. when I got it installed they said that it can be adjusted but they weren't allowed to do it . i mentioned that my mother was old and it is high for my mother to get into the bed. but they seemed to be in a rush and said they weren't allowed to adjust it Sealy got in contact with Show details · 4
Customer Service before Purchase – Joseph P I just wanted to give a review on the professionalism I have received from the team at Sealy. I will be purchasing a sealy adjustable bed base and a posturepedic elevate mattress from a retailer in the next day or so. Before making this decision I resaerched and found some questions that I needed more information on the product before… Read more · 1
purchasing. Sealy have been nothing short of sensational and the inquiries I had which came from reviews I read have already been taken care of by Sealy, they have even suggested home help if it is required once I purchase, at my age I have made many many purchases, this is the first time I have had this much quick response before even purchasing the product from a manufacturer. I would advise anyone looking to make a significant purchase to do there research and ask the manufacturer if you need clarifications, if it is with Sealy I am sure you won't be disappointed with there service. Additionally, its a good start, hopefully I will not need to call Sealy for any possible issues after purchase but if I should need to I feel certian they will look after me given there record thus far.
Well done Team Sealy
Great ajustable bed base – I got two lots of long single combined as one king. Comfortable reading position. Zero gravity mode is bit too high which need to re- adjust manually. When first try the massage mode which feel little bit useless function but after a long day at work which does help relax the body little bit. Nice and gentle underside bed light. Show details · 1
Wish I had bought this earlier – Just bought this bed as a queen size (not split). Was able to use my existing Koala mattress. Love that you can have the bed at different heights off the ground - have mine quite high so Robot vacuum goes under it easily. Retaining bar for mattress is a must. Bed is easy to operate and I am completely satisfied with it Show details
Long Single Bases are flawed - Not very well though of design at all – We purchased 2 long single Sealy Energise adjustable bases to make a Split King, which is hugely popular overseas and gaining some momentum slowly in Australia. I would like to point out the following which we are not happy about at all and is a design flaw that has been confirmed by Sealys' Marketing department; This is what the designers failed… Read more
to think of when it comes to Long Single Bases ONLY;' 1. The LED light is only on the left hand side of the bed, thus having 2 side by side for a split king means the led light is also on the left hand side thus is in the middle of the bed and not on both outer sides.
2. The battery compartment is also on the left hand side of the bed, thus having 2 side by side for a split king means my compartment is also on the left hand side (thus the middle of the beds where they “join”), which poses an extremely huge inconvenience in the future as per next point.
3. We are encouraged to tie the 2 bases together with the straps provided, and furthermore we have purchased a bedhead to arrive in about 6 weeks, and ordered the special adjustable base brackets to attach to the bed bases and the bedhead - obviously the furthermost left side and furthermost right side accordingly. This is absolutely not well though out design at all, because to change the batteries in the future, we will have to undo the straps, but worse still we will have to disassemble the complete bed head from each side of the bases to be able to pull them apart!!! VERY BADLY thought-out design and we are VERY upset about this and will have to let other people know this in our review.
4. This means that we can’t merely pull the beds apart and put 2 batteries in, and the option of a stand-alone bedhead isn’t possible with the one we purchased. As it is Sealy doesn’t make bedheads, so we had to make do with another brand make and thus with the limitation of 5 fabrics on offer for the Slumberland bedhead we couldn’t even match the colour to the base.
5. None of these issues were pointed out by the Sealy rep at the store that day that allowed us to seal the deal after me asking some questions but never thought that Seal would never think of a right hand side and left hand side for long singles for split kings. Sealy obviously never though of this but it perplexes me because fridges are made with right hand and left hand opening doors to suit application, but these are not.
People need to know this as it important and poses future problems for all with this design makeup for those who purchase 2 Long Singles to make a Split King.
Buyers beware. Even at half price we paid on sale, it still doesn't make it worth it after knowing we will have future problems and inconvenience on obviously more than 1 occasion.
The good - remote is great with one touch buttons and set positions to make it very easy. Motors run smoothly and not very noisy. Some other manufacturers do not have these simple one-touch buttons, so its left up to guess work.
Massage settings- there are 3 and don't do much but a slight tingle, so do not expect a massage like you get from a massage chair, but we were well aware of this when we purchased.
So many different positions/adjustments you can make the bed to make it comfortable to suit your intent. The bases don't squeak or creak, and are hefty 60kg each one so its going nowhere as they are VERY heavy. Another nice touch is the wooden legs have felt on the bottom of them already, so that was well thought out.
The staff at Snooze were wonderful in their service and getting the bases to us promptly, aidsed by the Sealy rep that was in-store to rush things along from 4 weeks to 10 days, although Snooze were let down and not their fault. Also purchased an adjustable bed head for these units to arrive in 6 weeks time, so it will also be another hard task to see if the special adjustable brackets will go onto an adjustable bedhead which is different from most other bedheads.
Update 25/8/2020 : Email from Sealy Marketing wanting to restore our faith in the brand, and have agreed to have their R & D team look at making positional changes on one of their bases to see if it will work as I have suggested that it might by changing the under-box to the right hand side of one bed base like it should be and is on all other beds except having 2 x long singles to make a Split King. Nice to see that they will try- but it took me to come up with the idea, otherwise it was just a "sorry we cant do anything about it but will bring it to the designers attention"
Will update if and when there has been progress.
