Can't give this a negative review of less stars - worst builders ever!!!!! – With over 200+ defects in my new property the builder refuses to respond to any of my communication with them. There isn't enough time in life to list all the issues with my property built by Seascape. I have seen that they are operating underBodon Homes also in Brooklyn Victoria and funnily enough only 50 metres from the Seascape office. The… Read more
mental anguish they have caused me, nothing can replace that damage. However, defects are meant to be repaired by the builder, a builder who blocks you, doesn't respond, deflects, and ultimately, I could have watched a Youtube video and built my place better than Seascape and whoever they subcontract too, possibly 2 year old, but that is an insult to 2 year olds. The shoddy work, no waterproofing, complete disregard for any form of building professionalism. DO NOT WORK WITH THEM. [Name Removed] IS THE OWNER. DO NOT RISK YOUR LIFE BEING IN HELL BECAUSE OF THEM! Fallen in ceilings, flooding, creaking floorboards, zero waterproofing, not built to drawings, unfinished work, horrendous plumbing, mould, unsafe building. No one should ever employ/contract this business as they aren't builders. They get people with no idea and you would do better building the home yourself.
Bad quality of workmanship – I bought the house as brand new since 2014. Firstly, a/c reverse cycle wasn't connected to the power and that was winter time and we couldn't get the heater from a/c. Not so impressed. Secondly, the cable for internet connection in the kitchen wasn't connected too. Bad luck as we didn't pick it up until late. Poor carpet installation as they… Read more
didn't level up the floor in the master bedroom and guest room before they laid on the carpet so we have the movement and sounds terrible when you walked over the affected areas. Attention to details are poor. The qualify of the workmanship isn't impressed overall. Now i have roof leaking issue and the insurer has sent the qualify roof plumber to assess the damage and he confirmed to me that it wasn't wear and tear. The problem was that the flashing insulation wasn't installed at the time of building causing the roof leaking and they didn't follow the requirements. In addition, there are some minors things happened, they put the long metal outside to cover something on the wall but they didn't put any plastic thing inside the hole when they screwed in to the wall to secure the position of the metal so all have now been come out and loosen. One of the switches wasn't connected to the power and also they have forgotten to install a light at the hallway. I wouldn't recommend anyone to use them.
Dodgy renovation unskilled workers – We contracted Seascape for a $50k bathroom renovation in 2015. Unfortunately the work was very poor quality. They didnt follow the engineering plans and they charged us for additional stumps which they didnt install to the required depth. Consequently we have movement and cracks in walls and floor tiles shifting. They didnt install the bathtub… Read more
according to manufacturers recommendations and that shifted and needed to be removed and re-installed. Also the waterproofing failed within 12 months. Walls were installed not straight or square meaning when the floor tiles were laid it was obvious. I hardly saw [name removed] on site while work was being done. I believe he was the only licensed builder. The rest of the work was done by his cousin who is unlicensed except for plumber and electrician.
