Yunnan Discovery Tour – We traveled with Selective Tours on its 8 days Yunnan Discovery Tour. It was the most wonderful holiday for our family. We had 4 guides through the whole trip. Kunming they met us at Kunming Airport & was outstanding in every way during our stay there. She even changed our itinerary around so that my husband could fit in a game of golf and organised to meet us late. Nothing seemed too much trouble for her. Another in Dali was very good and helpful. In Lijiang the guide was also very good. He was very through & was always checking the itinerary and passports to make sure everything was in order and to see if we could fit anything else into our schedule.Also in Shangri-la was a beautiful, vivacious Tibetan, went above & beyond what we expected. We asked Selective Tours to organise a cake, along with party hat and candles for my 60th Birthday. We had my birthday party in a restaurant and all singing harpy birthday. We later joined in the Tibetan dancing in the Old Town Square.

The accommodation was all very good. The Landscape in Dali was lovely, very traditional. Likewise with the He Xi in Lijiang, traditional, both looked small & quaint, but were surprisingly quite big. The staffs in all hotels were lovely, friendly and tried their best to make us feel important.

The food everywhere was outstanding. We had an amazing variety of all the local & traditional dishes. There was always plenty of it. The Impression of Lijiang performance was the most amazing spectacle. The backdrop of the rugged snow-topped mountains alone was awesome.

The whole part of China is so stunning and beautiful. The comparison between the Tibetan & Chinese cultures is intriguing. We would recommend this tour & Selective Tours to anyone.

What a wonderful China Holiday I had! – Selective Tours organized a 9 days China holiday for me. I walked Great Wall in Beijing, visited Terracotta Warriors and watched fantastic cultural show in Xian, Great shopping in Shanghai. I had a wonderful time in China. everything was well organized. tour guides are professional and knowledgeable. they speak very good English. drivers are excellent. I felt safe at all times. hotels are centrifugally located and nice.
