It’s been pretty good – Bought around late 2013 to early 2014 fairly pricey then and I paid in instalments. It’s first used on carpet and tiles and worked fine. The cord can be irritating but I wanted it to work when I needed and not be reliant on battery charged or not. Later moved home with hardwood floors (oiled) still worked fine but the power head tends to sometimes… Read more

kick debris around a bit too much. Also when I say worked fine, need to clean filters regularly and empty the hopper. Bad filters I found affected the performance. I don’t mind the weight at top of stick but daughter being smaller disliked the weight a bit. Have had to buy new replacement filters since being new and a new hose for the power head. The hose in the elbow of the power head late in 2021 decided to break and could also see other holes in it, also answered our question as to why it started to not suck stuff up properly with the head. The attachments are handy with occasional use. Would I get it again? If it was back then a yes. Today for a new one, will go and see what the competitors are like and price before perhaps doing Shark.

Don't use on hardwood floors – I use my shark for vacuuming the carpets and it works well. I would not advise using it on hardwood floors. I have gone back to using my old dyson on the hardwood floors as the shark has scratched the flooring. I also don't like that the power cord has to be manually wound back up. Show details

Still have my 2! – What I have learnt is keeping the filters ckllean prolongs thelifeofhisproduct. Purchased another due to its compactibility- was advised by a fri3nd to claim warranty as Shark offered a 5year warranty of this product- so ended up with 2. It come with many floor attachments- Our household mainly uses the motorised head for caroets and the flat head… Read more

for our wooden floors. Suction is still strong-due to keeping the filter free from dust- monthly requirement at most. Small collection tray, however isnt a big deal to walk to the bin and empty with a single click. As a domestic cleaner myself- this product far out-weighs the battery operated competitors as it has a plug. Battery operated devices are poor due to battery life- especially for kondomari type cleans- where the house needs more than an hour of max power operation. Love my little shark!

Not exactly what I was looking for – I am happy with the suction power works on all floors. Like the light weight and easy to maneuver. However, not happy it does not have lights, absolutely don't like how to empty the canister and don't like how I have to release the wand. low rating on the product  Show details

I LOVE SHARK VACUUM – I love the performance of this vacuum. It's suction is amazing. This is my second shark, got it because of the handiness of it, then I gave my grand daughter my first shark vacuum with orders for her to take good care of it because shark is the best. It is light, easy to maneuver and it is quiet also. I clean the filters each time I use it,… Read more

which helps to keep the suction so much better. I have carpet and also linoleum flooring. You also have to keep the hair cut out of the brush area for good suction and just to keep your vacuum working better. I love Shark and would not purchase any other type of vacuum.

Best results ever! – After continually taking my very expensive vacuum back to the retailer every 2 months or so for continual repairs, I needed some thing to clean in the short term. I was only after something inexpensive when I came across the Shark Powerhead at a very attractive price. I decided to start with a small area and cleaned the rug in the living area.… Read more

I was astonished to find that the shark lifted out 3 canisters of dirt and dust in such a small area.

I then did all the other carpeted areas(3bedrooms) and still the dust and dirt kept coming.

I am most impressed at have recommended to family and friends.

Will be ditching the other model as soon as repairs are done!

Love Dyson – I love dyson products. I will never buy anything else. They are expensive but perform far beyond all other products on the market. The only thing that annoys me a bit is that I have to wash the filter every few months and it takes a couple days to dry out - so I have to time washing the filter in between cleans.  Show details

Works for us – We purchased the Shark Rocket 4-5 years ago now and overall we have found it a good product. It draws up the deep particles that ordinary vacuum don't reach. We found after about three years there were some issues with the power cord but this was repaired and returned to us in a reasonably quick time frame free of charge. Overall we are happy with the Rocket.  Show details

The best corded cordless ever – I love this vacuum. You can go from hard floors straight to carpets, with all kind of tools for every clean. It feels so light and is as easy to manoeuvre as any stick vacuum with the advantage of an extremely long power cord so you have constant power and can cover vast areas without changing sockets. The dirt bin and filters are both easy to empty and clean.  Show details

Terrible Customer service – I purchased this a year ago and loved it at first . i must add I have a lifetime warranty. After a year it broke I contacted CC and they said, they are on back order to repair my Vacuum for three months. They would not help in any other way. Don't you think they could honor the warranty if its on a back order with another unit. I bought this… Read more

because of the warranty but, if you cant get it fixed in a timely manner . Three months and i still do not have a replacement. So, I had to purchase another vacuum. If you get this vacuum know if it breaks you are out of luck or will have to eat the cost of it. Lifetime warranty yeah right. I also had to call the horrible Customer service 5 times. If you call now all repairs are at least 2 months out. You cant get a supervisor as well as i tried and never got a return call they said, no supervisor on duty. Also the number changed so when i called the number on the box it was disconnected so i had to search for the 800 number. whats going on ? Save your money and get a DYSON they are more expensive but, you are treated very well, not like a second rate citizen.

Saved from the kitties' fuss and my back!! – My shark rocket is light, small enough to go in between the chairs legs, its rotaiting head swivels in between the furniture, it goes under most furnitute, it's powerful, one pass gets dirt, cat or human hair. The cord is conveniently long, it has a hard floor soft brush in a convenient compartment for quick switch when needed, changing it only… Read more

requires a gentle push on each side, you pick the brush, place the desired one and off you go, it really gets the hard floor clean. With a push of a button the trash compartment pops up to be emptied, with a push of a finger it goes back in place. I vacuum my house in a few minutes, its easy, simple and my thinking is: this is the best vacuum ever!! It saves us from allergens because it cleans better than the Orek that I used for years and it saves my back by not having to move the furniture and being so light weight.

Dangerous design fault electrocution – Great little vacum. Cost a lot but did a great job until recently electrocuted me. Sparks coming from cord near handle. Has 5 year warranty but company has no details from the sale. After many calls someone mentions they have a voluntary recall because of this electrical issue. Have waited for weeks for recall kit to arrive by post. Numerous calls still no recall pack. Now started fair trading claim  Show details

Ripped off – I loved my shark rocket it worked amazing! But after not having it for long the hose has split and it is the only part not covered by the 5year warranty. I cannot use it and the company were not helpful at all. I would not recommend buying any of the Shark products. Horrible company to deal with.

Does what it says – First purchased the Rotator Liftaway but due to chronic Arthritis found this too heavy to use. Purchased the Rocket and found this to be ideal. It was recalled , however, I never had a probem with it before hand, or since. I love the job it does and brother........does it pick up dust and dog hair! I also have a Sonic Duo and found this great for polished floors. Hope they outlast me. Bella

Far better than any other vacuum I have ever owned in 65 years – Great Suction far surpasses any other I have owned gets the fine dust out of my carpets. Has many tools included which allow me to clean everywhere. It is a little noisy but not too bad. The newer models have a light on the head and a larger dust bag which are a little problem for me. Purchased in Sept 2014 and have had no problems. I did… Read more

Extremely Disappointed – I am very happy with the performance of the shark rocket, it does everything it is supposed to do. My disappointment is that the flimsy plastic hose inside the power head has broken after only 10 months of using it and I have been told it's not covered by the 5 year warranty. The only part of the vacuum covered by warranty is the motor. So I have… Read more

to buy a new power head to use the vacuum and as this is a major part, I cannot use it until I can afford to replace it. Feeling a bit ripped off. If I buy a new power head will this happen again, am I up for the cost of a new power head every 10-12 months? My previous vacuum cleaner lasted me a good 10 years before I had to replace it, so I would have expected to get at least 5 years out of the shark not just 10 months. I call this false advertising. A better explanation on the warranty is warranted before misleading other customers.

Not happy Jan!!!

Fantastic Unit useless warranty – I am very happy with the Shark Rocket I purchased in March 2015. However October 2015 and the power head has failed. I am a V I P customer with 5 yr warranty. They do not tell you it ONLY covers the Power unit/motor ONLY. I can Purchased a new power head for $100 plus delivery. Its not even 12 months old. So now 7 months down the road I have a vacuum I can no longer use.

Don't be FOOLED – Recently purchased the Shark Rocket vacuum. Initially ordered the HV300, only to receive the HV320 model. You would think that the vacuum would have great power, well it does not. They advertise a product that features great suction ie. lifting bowling balls and hanging from ceilings because the HV300 as shown, doesn't lose suction. Well let me… Read more

tell you, this is a lot of false advertising. The suction is average. It does not have this wonderful power that it is nenown for. I took the test of vacuuming with my old vacuum cleaner and then used the Rocket. My vacuum cleaner has more suction than the Rocket, I was able to collect particles in between our floor boards with my old vacuum cleaner. I own a Dyson and have been happy with it but thought the Rocket would be easier to handle. WRONG. The main reason I purchased the Rocket was for the Under Appliance Wand. This was the clincher for hard to get to places. Well, do you think I received the product, NO because the hv300 was deleted and they say the wand doesn't fit the hv320. I have been going back and forth with the company and not getting anywhere. It is disappointing when you see a product advertised and what you receive does not do what is shown. It lacks power and is not as light nor can it stand by itself as other standing vacuums do. The Rocket demo advertised is not the HV300, even though they say it is, it is the HV750. Great suction and power and is more powerful than the Dyson. Shame they don't let you know until you give the negative feedback.

Overall, had I read the reviews before purchasing, I would have saved myself the hassles and most importantly my money.

My Shark Rocket Ultra- Light is as good as my old Kirby! – I used to have a Kirby Vacuum Cleaner, which I absolutely Loved but I sustained a lower back injury 6 years ago and haven't been able to vacuum since then. Not only was the Kirby too heavy for me, the action created pain issues. (I have to say though - Kirby was Awesome and I've never come across anything better.....Until now.) Recently, I bit… Read more

the bullet and decided to try the Shark Rocket Ultra-Light from watching the TV reviews.

I am amazed! It is light, drives itself and I can actually vacuum again without suffering for days afterwords!

I live in a one bedroom apartment, so there are only 2 fairly spacious carpeted floors to clean and the limited dust catcher capacity is perfect for my needs. I have to hire a cleaner usually but, after filling the canister twice on the day I got it, I no longer have to worry about paying for the extra vacuuming time - Once is enough and my floors have never looked better!

It has attachments for almost everything and the two different sized turbo heads make sure there are no traces of dust or annoying hair from my cat on my floors or couch. Just make sure you clean them if you have long hair because they do their job and pick it up but it does wrap around the brush wheel - that is what it's there for!

The only thing the Shark Rocket doesn't have that my old Kirby did is the option for a carpet shampooing attachment.

Yes, it does have a cord - and it is like any other - it will get in the way (normal) and you do need to lean it against something when you are not using it due to the weight of the motor and dust catcher unit.

The clips seem a little loose and flimsy but that just means you need to be gentle when pulling it apart and putting it back together! I paid over $3000 for my Kirby and nowhere near that for the Rocket so I am completely satisfied that I have not been ripped off by an inferior product.

The recall for the power cord issue is limited to the production date and mine fell outside of that, so I am not concerned about that issue either - In my opinion, it is good that the company issued the recall notice rather than not notifying customers at all!

It sounds strange, I know, but after all of these years, I am happy to have found a product that gives me a little bit of independence back and I can finally keep my home as clean as I like it without having to rely on how well - or not well - my cleaner's equipment works!

Having very carefully considered my purchase prior to making it, I am very happy.
