Marvelous machine – We bought our washing machine from Masters years ago when Masters was initially setting up their branches. And we wash everything from bed sheets to work clothes . It has never missed a beat I have to say it has been the best machine we have had. The only thing to mar this wonder machine is the dark mould on the door sealing rubber which I hope to resolve in the near future. I would certainly buy this particular machine again.

Brilliant machine – I've never had any issues with my machine since I purchased it new and am surprised to see such low review scores and problems that people seem to be having with theirs. The only criticism I could level at it is that it is a bit noisy on the spin cycle, but hey it does better than any top loader I've ever owned.

Great value for money I feel and have recommended this washing machine to many friends.

Drum failure causing massive damage – Machine was in the last 2 mins of its spin cycle when a very loud banging and grinding noise could be heard. Ran in to turn off the machine. Once it allowed me to open the door I removed my clothes and could see the damage right away. I have photos of the damage and also the clothes that were in the machine. Will not spin dry clothes – I have had this machine for about 2 years. Now all of a sudden it won't spin at the end of the cycle. Not happy at all. What's the slogan "simply the best from sharp." Mmmmm. someone needs to look at this issue at sharp and post a solution online.  Show details

Had it a week and it's tripping my rcd! – I bought this machine a week ago second hand. The previous owner is moving to Japan and bought this machine brand new 11months ago. Was working like a dream but all of a sudden if you turn the dial to the 95oc it trips the electrics. We then tried the quick wash 60oc program and that trips it to. a symbol to suggest something’s wrong with the filter or a hose. My husband checked everything out as suggested in the Manuel. Cleared the filter and the hoses and still nothing has changed. Not very impressed that it’s stopped working considering we haven’t had it for very long and by looking through some of the other reviews aswel it seems like this is the norm for this product and I would not recommend to purchase.

Help! – I have tried to wash a small load this morning and I put it on 1 hour cycle and it runs for 1 minute and ends. Frustrating me no end! What can I do to get this machine running properly? Been very good to this point. Seems 2 years is the infamous time based on other reviews.  Show details

fire hazard – Worst washing machine mine started smoking yesterday on spin cycle had the washing machine for 2 years. Spin cycle doesn't work well – This is also similar to Naoko's query. We have placed a handful of hand-washed clothes into the 20-minute spin cycle, but the machine just doesn't spin very fast, so the clothes are still soaking wet. Bought this machine at Masters 14 months ago and now it comes up with an error after looking through – The error showing is E03. I followed the manual had other people follow the manual and it still keeps coming up in an error. The clothes are not rinsing properly so I have to remove them and rinse them and wring them out by hand. A response from you would be appreciated.  Show details

Filthy clothes – Machine purchased a few years ago. Now making clothes filthy with chunky brown grit. Everything has been thoroughly cleaned, the liquid filler tray, the inside of it, the rubber, the metal, filter checked and water contains same slimy grit, bleach cycle on highest temp and still happening? Repaired 3 Times, Now Rusting – I purchased the washing machine less than a year and a half ago and I have had it repaired three times. Each time a drum paddle in the washing machine has broken and come away from the stainless steal drum. We have now had a paddle replaced 4 times and there are only 3. The washing machine is now showing signs of rust in the metal outer case. It washes clean enough but I would not recommend this washing machine.  Show details

Great washing machine, never broken down – I've had this washing machine for 1.5 years now and it has never broken down on me and has been excellent all round. If you over under or over load the machine then it won't spin to avoid damage to the drum if it's out of balance, this is standard in any washing machine techonolgy, so think some reviews here are unfair. it's been a great machine with many different options and speed times which I love. It came with a 12 month warranty. Very happy with our purchase which has been very reliable.

It was over 2 weeks for someone to come out and look at the machine who informed me that it would be 3-4 weeks to order the part i have babies and having no washing machine is a huge problem they didnt care offered no replacement or anythibg to use while they fixed my machine had to fight and argue to get something done it got me no where went to fair trading and got a refund thank goodness this product was disccontinued because its not worth the cheap material its made from if your thonking of buying this even second dont bother theres a reason they are getting rid of it

Really bad smell after pump was changed – Machine stopped working mid wash and wouldn't drain the water away. I search on the internet the machine was launched in Australia on Sep 2014 and the warranty was for 24 month which mean even if i bought on the first day of launch it is still under warrant. Dont understand why sharp still need proof of purchase. Dont want to loose my $600 can any one help me , have any idea what should i do ?

Does not spin well! – I bought this Washing machine but has been very unhappy with Spin function. Clothes that I hand washed or towels are still soaked with water even after 20 minutes of spin function. I had to get rid of the water by squeezing with my hands. Ridiculous! I wish you can adjust the time of spinning as well!

Can't use need service which was reported 2015 – We agree with all adverse comments written,customer service appalling and charges applying to inspect a DESIGN and TIMING fault while still under Warranty is ludicrous.The machine remains with its faults as previously reported to Sharp, in 2015, the reason being Sharpe wanting to CHARGE for customer service.Would be nice to be able to use what we paid for

Excellent washing machine for a great price – I have bought this one from masters 4 months ago. The only problem I had with it was the fact that I had to put it in place myself and it was quite heavy. It runs perfectly, washes very clean and does not damage anything. I was looking at buying one I don't think so – After reading the reviews some good and really bad I think this is not for me as pensioner it has taken some time to save up to purchase a new washing machine and can't afford to waste my money on buying a piece of junk customer is very important and if Sharp are prepared to take this seriously I would buy this product

nNot recommended! – I couldn't believe how stupid this washing machine has been designed! My daughter using one at the moment bought about 6 months ago. There is no program rinse+ spin at all for hand washed clothes, also cicles are going forever and the timing on it is not accurate! of washing! Wasn't even on it's capacity, was less than 4kg clothes in it! It might save water for you but definitely uses 3 times as much power as it goes forever!

I ended up taking home some of her washing as we couldn't get to the end in one day because of the machine is being so slow! I have an LG wouldn't change it for anything!

This washing machine is one on the bottom end I would never recommend to anyone to buy!

writing this review on 23rd and the part is still not received! I have 4 family members and we spent 3 weekends without a washing machine. I called the service center more than 4 times and all what they say is that the part is on its way! I don't live in Regional area. I live 20 km away from Melbourne CBD! Even if it was sent on a horse, it should've been received by now!

I didn't have enough budget so I preferred a new Sharp over any other used brand to make sure that I don't go through this hassle. Unfortunately, that was a bad decision.

My advice is never to buy from Sharp. Their customer service is the worst compared to other brands. Spend some extra and get LG or Samsung. The inconvenience you will face if it breaks down is not worth saving some dollars.

If your budget is not enough, go for a used LG/Samsung and you are still better off.

I've been too hard – I may have been too hard in my previous review of Sharp front loader. I have since been told that all front loaders need only a teaspoon of front loader powder. I used more. Perhaps that is why machine did not rinse properly. Perhaps it was user error. If you have problems such as this, try cutting back on powder.

numerous calls and follow ups 3 weeks later i get a email stating the warranty has now expired i purchased it in april of 2014 my move was completed couple days into april and i put the request in for service. now i have not had a washing machine for over 2 months !!! and no one is doing anything about it way to lose $699.00 good on ya sharp worst customer care ever!

PERFECT IN EVERY WAY – This is an ultra quiet machine. Has simple options and easy to understand too. Bought at Masters, got $25 off and put a 4 year extension on the warranty, which makes it 6 years. All for $600. Only 6 weeks old at the moment but can;t complain  Show reply

Superb machine, best I've seen in sometime – What a delightful machine to use, so quite and washes like a charm. It's obvious this washing machine is well made and is also fantastic value for a 8KG machine, would highly recommend. The design of the display is clear and easy to read and the multiple controls and settings give you an endless number of washing options.  Show reply

5weeks in - broken drum – Bought it 5 weeks ago and the drum is broken apparently because of a coin that slipped through the drum. simpson 5kg, in hindsight i really wish i had of. I wanted to see how the display works and i wasn't able to turn it on and have a look at it in the shop. all i can say i hope i manage to get this fixed and in 5 years if it lasts that long i can't wait to get rid of it. Broke down in 10 days – Broke down in 10 days with less than 10 cycles of use. Had to ask for service, now we have to wait until they can get the door lock replacement parts. In the mean time, don't know how many trips we have to take the coin laundry. Worst household appliance performance in my lifetime. Broke down.
