Look elsewhere – Purchased the “Firm but fair” about two years ago. It was our regular sleeping mattress. It was comfortable for the first 12-months however it’s lost its firmness and now just dips in the centre so my partner and I end up on top of each other. The feedback I received from Sherman was that the sag wasn’t enough for a replacement. I would suggest looking at other brands. Show details

Poor mattress – I bought this mattress in Queen size in 2020. The mattress started to sink from the middle within the first few months. It has been hard as rock over the last few years. return period the mattress started to sag quite significantly in the middle, I mainly sleep on my side & stomach & the sag was causing me significant trouble with my neck & back the only way to feel comfortable was to sleep on my back which I dont prefer, I was not prepared to spend another $1k on a mattress so I have resorted to placing a length of thick foam across the bed base under where the sag is to lift the mattress back up, this has helped but the mattress now has lumps on the edge of where the foam ends. Rotating this mattress does not help as it is single sided with a fixed foam top, the foam topper is of poor quality has it has clearly compressed a lot in under a year. I do not recommend Sherman Mattress as you can clearly see in the other reviews they do not last long past the 100 night return window, spend a bit more & go with a reputable brand!

months of purchasing the 'Just Perfect' mattress at Sherman.

Eventually we were both losing sleep trying to rest on this mattress, so we began sleeping on the pull-out bed upstairs.

We decided we didn't want to try a new Sherman bed, so we reached out to the company this week to ask if they were open to picking up the mattress and donating/recycling it. The reason? Because we could lift the mattress. It's heavier than usual. When it was delivered after we bought it, the delivery guys unwrapped and placed it on the frame for us. Great at the time, but not when we had to move it.

This mattress is so heavy that you won't be able to lift it on your own. It weighs about 2-3 times the weight of any mattress we have used before.

The real kicker though? It was when we reached out to their customer service (Jess was their name), insisted taking photos of the base of the bed frame as evidence. And despite our explanation that we literally could not lift the bed in order to take the photo, she replied: "As per my last email..." and told us again to take photos.

In other words, they ignored all of our questions, failed to acknowledge that we couldn't lift the mattress to take the photos (even after mentioning it twice in an email thread).

I wasn't planning on writing this review, I was willing to accept a $1500 loss on a poor quality mattress. But after the poor customer service, I felt people ought to know, this is NOT where you want to shop for your mattress!

We'll be hiring a company to pick up the mattress and take it straight to the dump/recycling.

Listen to the bad reviews here and youll notice they all say the same thing: sinking bed, poor quality, terrible customer service. We're not the only ones!

That's more than $1500 down the drain. Consider yourself warned!

mattress that is relatively in new condition. If you have any achy joints like my partner and l do, well this mattress is for you. We love it! The Queen mattress is in the guest room and everybody that stays the night says how compfy it is. I haven't had any issues as yet. I have to say the customer service is fabulous and is a five star rating for me.

as it is a very thick built so it made me think it must be me.been too difficult.. and that. I would get used to it. But after months and months of perseverance it didn't improve, so I decided to email customer service to point out the big dent in the middle.(sent them a pic too). I was told it was normal! And that the warranty wouldn't work unless the dent is superior to 6 cm.!!!! .. So you feel.like sleeping in a piece of butter, or moving sand.... keeping sliding in the middle of bed and getting super hot, which will wake you up in the middle of the night. Since sleeping on it I developed a hip pain!!! I just came back.fom holidays and all.my hotel beds were fantastic, slept with no problem and no hip pain! I am now back in Melbourne and having to sleep in this horrible bed keeps me awake all night. I will have no choice but to buy a new mattress!!! As costumer service told me to "buzz off".My first advice: Stay away from "just Perfect!" Second advice,it should be renamed as "just a nightmare"!!!

down the track and the support has completely disappeared. It has completely sagged and has not maintained its firmness at all. My quality of sleep has totally deteriorated. Two people on the queen matress end up rolling into the middle. I would defiantly not recommend this matress at all to anyone.

that it has no side handles so is a pain to rotate, if it had handles, I would confirm that it is "Just Perfect". I would recommend this mattress.

Ok for the first few months – We bought the Just Right about a year ago and very happy for the first 6 months but now it has started sagging and my husband can’t sleep on it any longer and has had to move into the spare room it’s just too soft and saggy. I’m unsure why it’s marketed as a medium as its not its very soft . VERY UNIMPRESSED!

Hubby and I bought 2 new mattresses from Sherman in Feb 2021 to replace our old bed.

Hubby got his first to try and broke it in pretty quickly. He's still happy with his and plans on keeping it however I was less than impressed and returned mine after about 1.5 months.

The good: - Almost no chemical smell and what very little there was evaporated after about 2 hrs in the bedroom with the windows open - Comes with a VERY handy bag - The returns policy was quick, easy, smoothe and they didn't haggle me like ecosa has in the past. - The quality is really good. It looks and feels like a very expensive matrress you see at the bedding stores. - Although it says medium its really a soft bed. People should be aware of that going into buying this. - Delivery was fast and easy and they were very in touch with me during the whole process for both mine and my husbands beds. When a corona outbreak lockdown occured they called me asap and rescheduled to the next soonest date.

The not so good: - Within 2 weeks of sleeping on the bed (i'm a ladies (aussie) size 12 in clothes around 65kgs and 165cm tall); there was an imprint/sag on the top comfort layers of the bed where I slept. I tried sleeping head to toe and then the impressions would form that way too. This didn't get better and in fact contined to get deeper marginally as the time went on before i returned the bed after 1.5 months. Hubbys indentation in his is vastly larger and he just doesn't care about it.

- The bed while very comfy and soft is HOT! i've never ever had this issue before and didn't really understand what people said when they "slept hot". Our bedroom is always aircon at 18c (its freezing in there) and we havent' changed sheets or doonas either. Plain 100% cotton sheets and doona cover with a summer weight doona. But yet I was taking 2+ hours to get to sleep every night because it was so hot! I was also waking up sweating and having nightmares. I've never had this issue with any other beds before. I slept on hubbys the other night (now in June). The house was 15c and it was 2c outside and I was STILL baking!

- The bed supports your upper body VERY well, i'll give it that, it got rid of shoulder pain i'd had and helped my shoulders and neck settle as a result of being allowed to squish into the mattress. However the lower back support just isn't there, my hips sink into the bed and although it looks like my spine is aligned it mustn't be because subsequently, i wake up with aching back, pinching catching pains and had to go see a chiro to get adjusted FOUR TIMES as a result of this mattres(Goodbye $400).Nothing else in my life had changed either I was still doing the normal activities, no injuries etc, the only thing that was different was the bed.. Once I went back to my old ecosa foam mattress its much better. I have the occasional night on hubbys Sherman mattress and my lower back goes out of alignment again and I am in pain all day until it settles however it fixes my shoulders nicely.

- While i do really love and appreciate the 100 nights guarantee I don't love that swapping your bed to a firmer one (which I seriously considered doing) would void that warranty. So then if it's still no good, i'm left with a mattress I can't send back. If they're really as good as the company makes them out to be, they should ALL be covered and they should work with you to get you the best mattress for your needs. This was the primary motivator for me to just send mine back and be done with it. To send the matress to the dump would also cost me a ton and there's no way i'd get my $900 back by selling it on facebook marketplace.

Suggestions for the company would be to: 1- look at that top layer. Its too soft. Its not holding up well against even myself an average (kinda short) size 12 female with a slight to medium frame. Brand new beds shouldn't be caving in like that. Hubbys has also done it too which leads me to believe mine wasn't just a faulty mattress. 2- Offer the 100 night returns policy EVEN IF customers want to swap the firmness. Other companies do it so why can't you?

Exceeded expectations – Really exceptional. I've only been sleeping on it for a week, but my back pain has improved 80%. I can't wait to get in it at night, it's so soft and comfortable but it still feels supportive. Delivery guys were lovely too. Was stage 4 lockdown so couldn't get the white glove service, but they positioned it right at my front door as easy as possible for me and within 1 business day of ordering. Delivery was fast (only a few days from order to delivery) and 'white glove' as advertised on website. Mattress was delivered (and unpacked and installed on bed base by very polite courier) in a reusable, protective mattress bag which you get to keep - great if you move house. The mattress was purchased for my daughter who has multiple health issues which have made restful sleep and waking almost impossible over the years. She is now sleeping long and wakes up pain free. Took about a week to get used to (she went from a firmish mattress to the Sherman 'Just Perfect'). But now (three weeks later) she just LOVES this mattress. The 100-night trial (you can return if too hard/too soft/just not right, Goldilocks ;-) is reassuring and speaks to confidence in the product. Very happy with purchase.
