Very disappointed with this mattress. It just got harder and harder and is now like sleeping on concrete. Only two years after buying it, we cannot stand it any longer and are buying a different brand now. Complete rubbish. Show details

Worst mattress on the planet. 2 years in and we have incredible sagging, my back is pain every morning when I wake up. They claim it has a 10year warranty but when i called and I got told that sagging is normal and that its called body mapping my forty winks. Avoid like the plague!!! Biggest waste of money.

24-carat crap – Complete garbage. Lasted maybe nine months, then l started waking up with back pain. I weigh 85kg and I'm tall, so I'm not particularly hard on my mattresses. Photo supplied as evidence that this is not an old mattress, it still looks new. Tried sleeping on alternate sides of the bed, made no difference. This thing is made of cheap-to-produce foam… Read more

and pathetic, weak Chinese springs, probably costs more to ship here than it does to make.

We had another Silent Partner prior to this one (that's why we bought the Bellagio) and it lasted nine years. Now they last nine months.

Avoid like the plague, the manufacturer is laughing at you and deserves kicking down a flight of stairs. Forty Winks want 5 grand for this slab of junk, they should be ashamed of themselves.

Poorly made. Even poorer warranty. Save your money – Poorly made. Even poorer warranty. Bought this a few years back from Forty winks. Was told it would suit us as it because it has a centre 'spine' to prevent disturbing the person beside you when we are sleeping. Worked well for the 1st year and it started sagging from the 'spine' towards the edge. Mattress remains firm but with the sagging,… Read more

turning towards the middle of the mattress seem like climbing up a slope. We had lodge a complaint with the manufacturer, Sleepeeze. To get the warranty process started, we had to take multiple photos with the bubble leveler to meet their criteria of sagging! Sleepeeze sent their technician out to sleep on our mattress to confirm the fault and arrange to take the mattress away for repair, the repair worked for less then a year, we put off getting the mattress looked at for another year as it was a hassle to be without a mattress during time it was at their workshop. Finally when we could not bear the issue, we contacted them to arrange for another warranty review. Lo and behold, this time even with all the photos and the bubble leveler showing sagging, the refuse to accept that there was a sagging issue with the mattress and refused of claim.

NEVER AGAIN. Please be aware that the mattress may feel nice and suit you at the shops but it is the testimony of how good a mattress is by the longevity of the mattress and the warranty that comes with it. BUYERS BEWARE. Sleepeeze will ask for payment to fix a warranty issue.

Dream sleep – I bought the Silent Partner mattress for myself and loved it so much I bought one for my mum. The mattress is firm and has great support, with my bad back it is perfect. I’m a side and tummy sleeper and I find it very comfortable so much so that I don’t wake up through the night as I tend to do on other beds. I have the best sleeps on this and so… Read more

do our guests. So I will be purchasing another mattress for my guest room AND for my father-in-law…. he loved it too!

Best bed I have had for a very long time – Medium to Firm . Still in great shape after 18 months. Try one to see if it suits you. It's 5 stars from me. So much better than some well known brands. EDIT I have now had it over 6 years and it is still as good!! Show details

Happy with support but comfort decision not simple – We have a similar problem to another review with the issue as store mattress being softer as the new one. Let me just start by saying the support is fantastic and we absolutely love the edge support which you cannot find on any other pocket spring mattress manufacturer products. Our problem is the comfort selection which is the top part of the… Read more

mattress. That is individual preference and taste. In the store the firm which we picked was perfect and we went back a couple of times to trial it again with the medium. Husband have back problems and we replaced our plush pocket spring mattress for this reason to a firm mattress. So the new firm arrived and after one night on this hard bed we went and bought a mattress topper which helped a great lot make it more comfortable and help with the transition period. No more back pains but we have pressure points pain still from the too firm mattress. For this reason we have been back at the store to reevaluate our decision but honestly would still pick the firm in the shop as it is ideal. Our trial of 90 days are almost over and the store is sending silent partner accounts manager to come this week to inspect our mattress. The store mattresses is for sure not the same but people find it hard to believe. I don't want to swop for a medium to find in 5 years it has softened to a plush. The store mattress i was told is 6 months old but it should be older as we already had ours for nearly 3 months and the same is still in the store. So I guess also the question is would the break in period be much longer than 3 months and therefore one should stick it out?Quite stressful decision really!!

UPDATE

Did comfort swop and updated to the luxury range versailles firm are very happy with the decision. It is much more expensive but in a different class.
