Terrible – Bought this stroller thinking Silver Cross is a sturdy brand, how wrong we were. First problem is with the instructions. Instead of having one instruction book there are two, one with the diagrams in, and one with the descriptions (instructions) in, so you have to reference two instruction books to assemble, quite ridiculous. On first assembly the mesh over the sun visor was starting to come away and we were happy to live with that minor problem however things quickly got worse. Firstly, the belt from the sides (horizontal/lap belt) is so short that you cannot have the soft padding seat in even if your child isn't that big. Ours is 15 months and is not a large toddler yet the horizontal belt even extended fully was too tight. The belt also does not have that nice looking round locking mechanism as shown on the Silver Cross website but is a cheap, horrible thing. Then there's the slippage problem. The seat and backrest are so poorly designed our child would continually slip down and the force of the belt between his legs would cause him great discomfort so we had to continually adjust him in the seat. This would happen regardless of what incline you had on the backrest.
The next (and probably worse) problem was the front wheels. Regardless of what surface, the front wheels would randomly spin around (chatter) as if the weight balance of the stroller had too much bias to the rear. We tried different backrest inclines, nothing worked. After a few days it got worse and was absolutely horrible to push. The front wheels would chatter continuously as they tried to get purchase on the surface. Pushing this was a nightmare.
And then there are the brakes. You push down solidly on the rear brake thinking it’s locked but you have to rock it backwards and forwards gently until it's fully locked in otherwise it’s not really braked. And then one time the brake just gave way. The useless front wheels would also randomly lock too making the already hopeless steering worse.
The handles on the stroller also had a loose feel rounding off the cheap build quality.
The only positive was it's not too heavy, however overall it is such an awful product. Luckily for us Toys R Us were great to deal with and we got a refund. On reading reviews of this product afterwards on UK and US websites, it's obvious we're not the only ones completely dissatisfied. It is such a bad stroller and I wish I’d done a bit more research first.
To sum up, it's garbage and avoid at all costs. It's a shame I have to rate this a minimum one star because it really deserves zero. Not too heavy Build quality

I agree too especially the slipping problem it is a very cheap design steer clear of it.
Excellent – A good lightweight stroller that is easy to drive around the shops. not so good on rough surfaces or boggy terrain. A great, compact, lightweight design and from a good trusted brand. Lightweight, layback, good to use from birth to toddler, fits in boot of car easily, pocket at back of stroller to put things in. I purchased this stroller for baby no 3 as I needed a compact stroller I can fit in my car because my pram is too big.
So far it has been great and I have purchased a sun shade as an accessory. It does the job. A bit more expensive than some other strollers, but well worth it as it seems a bit better made than others. Price could be a turn off for some. So lightweight that if you have a small baby it could blow away from you. not many cons so far.
Good – the stroller served our purpose for buying it. our first was 14 kls - we didn't realize how heavt it was til our baby came home and started using the pram. we bought the silver cross pop as a second stroller: it is very easy to use - we live in the 2nd floor so having a very lightweight stroller is just what we need. lightweight, excellent for going out by public transport, spacesaver on your boot, love the colors, brake automatically release when the tires move so one needs to hold stroller firmly to avoid accidents. not advisable to use when it is windy as it could be blown away

I agree with everything you have written, especially the problem of the baby slipping all the time and the front wheels, oh yes and the brake! We bought this stroller because of the Silver Cross name but it's terrible and we are now looking at Maclarens.
