Do not buy these products sight unseen. We live regionally and ordered over the phone. The service was responsive, but the finished product was not what we expected. Our windows arrived in a finish called “Textura”—which looks and feels like melamine board, not the smooth aluminium finish we had every reason to expect. Nowhere were we alerted that this textured finish would differ so significantly from a standard smooth surface. The initial specifications had the reveals listed at the wrong sizes—something we, as non-industry clients, only caught by chance. What we missed was a single word: “Textura.” That oversight has left us with thousands of dollars’ worth of windows in a finish we would never have chosen. When we questioned it, we were told this is “industry standard.” Yet we had never seen or heard of this type of aluminium framing on doors or windows before.

My advice: have an architect or industry professional review every detail. And above all, never buy sight unseen.
