Horrendous! Avoid! – Dishonest, verging on fraudulent. I called to cancel my policy during a cooling off period and was talked out of it by a salesperson, who promised it could be applied to any other trip I took in the next 12 months. Fast forward 9 months and they won’t respond to emails or calls now that I’ve rebooked travel. When I finally got through to a claims person they told me they couldn’t help me and took a message. our plans, however the travel insurance was less than useless. Firstly we could not make a claim like many because pandemics aren’t covered, fair enough. So we didn’t therefore use our insurance, Our attempts to inquire about a refund on the policy or even get a credit for when we were able to rebook was met with radio silence. We sent several emails, tried to call. Not once did anyone ever get back to me. Other companies offered refunds or credits, we didn’t even get offered a response. To not even have the decency to respond and just to ignore you is completely unacceptable. Clearly they are more interested in making money than giving people a fair go or even giving people basic respect. Glad we didn’t go on our trip now, I can’t imagine if anything went wrong on our trip, would we have been met with the same radio silence. I’m not even particularly mad at the lack of refund, but the lack of an actual response is unforgivable! Avoid!

Shocking service - never use this company – This was hopeless, I paid comp insurance but wilth the pandemic nothing was covered. I have been trying by phone, email and website to contact Simply Travel Insurance to get a refund but I have not been able to make contact at all. despite giving zero insurance. Ultimately useless insurance, useless communication and do not use this company

a response. It appears they have received my email as I included a read receipt, and today I received a "not read" response. This is a very poor response. June 2020: I have since received a positive response from Simply Travel Insurance and have been dealing with a lovely person named Simon. He was unaware of the way I was treated and was very apologetic and I respect that.

Fighting to get my claim paid – We had to find alternative travel from Paris to Barcelona when the train we had booked/paid was cancelled due track damage. they advise that they won't pay for phone calls (there company call was the most expensive), travel agent airfares were $265.00 AUD cheaper than I could book myself, and not trusting me to say I got a refund from train fare when I couldn't after 2 hours of trying and not believing as train was booked through Rail Europe and the attempted train refund was with SNCF so they wouldn't pay. Re the policy of no phone calls I needed phone calls to contact travel agent to book the flight and to get the e-ticket for the flight

I've made 3 claims over 3 years – I buy a frequent traveler policy each year, I have made 2 small claims, one delayed luggage, one damaged luggage and one trip cancellation. The 2 small claims were paid within a week the trip cancellation took a fortnight. to prove it was pre existing and by the time they realized they had no chance on that avenue of denial I was back in Australia at my own cost in Emergency. The Medical assist team did nothing they didnt even ask what hospital in London I was in ,so I mean nothing. So being the litigious type I am , I went for the Juglar once I was out of hospital . I ended up finally with the full claim paid , the excess waivered a written apology, personal call from the head of legal with admission of fault (The evidence was over whelming) They closed their doors a month or two later (Job Done)

Sneaky – I felt it was good value at the time of purchase. That was until I had to make a claim. They seem to have a clause for everything to avoid paying you, which is not easily accessible when purchasing the insurance. Denied a claim when my camera was stolen out of my checked in bag, because guess what? They have a clause for that! Thanks for nothing! Show details

Fast efficient cover, excellent for multiple trips. Very fast claims service – I purchase the multi trip policy, it is one of the few that covers you for up to 90 days per trip. Good Communication – Very helpful. good information. Unfortunitley a bit expensive for oldies. We would have gone with them as they covered everything that we were looking for. As we were going to be on the Indian Pacific train, then a 19 day cruise around Northern Australia, with a visit of 10 hours in Bali, our ages put the price up substancially.
