Simpson EZIset 36S605L Questions & Answers
VerifiedMy Simpson Ezi-set 9.5kg washing machine keeps stopping with E17 error code. It appears to be that the washing gets off balance, and you have to take washing out and try to redistribute it. The problem is that no matter how many times you "redistribute the weight" to balance the machine - you can never get it to balance. I can be standing at the washing machine and rebalancing the load every few minutes. I may as well be handwashing the washing with the amount of time and effort it takes. Can this be fixed at a reasonable cost - or is it time to buy another brand of washing machine?
Have a Simpson Eziset 605 about 10yrs old. The code CF starts flashing during cycle. Eventually the cycle stops without being completed. I have cleaned the lint filter inside the agitator. Are there any other filters I am missing. ?
My washing machine Simpson EZISet7.5KG is giving me headaches every time I do my washing it leaves white soapy marks on the clothes, even I clean the machine filter every time i do my washing. I have used both powder & liquid detergents but unfortunately both times same results. Can some one please tell me what i am doing wrong?
I put powder in first, let it fill with water for about 10 seconds so the powder mixes then put my laundry in, no problems since, and also keep the strainer clean, always clogs up after washing a few towels
try putting powder in a bucket with some boiling or hot water to dissolve it first- that's what I do with powder because they put crap in it that doesn't break down properly- i even strain it on the way in- but to avoid that you could just get a liquid washing solution- and try that.
I have a Simpson ezi set 9.5 kg simple wash washing machine and I don't know how to remove the agitator to clean it please help
Hi. What's "CF" that's the code coming up & alarming on my eldest 605?, Di Howard.
I am very sorry that I am unable to help as I have scrapped my Simpson washing machine as it was the worst I have ever opened in 50+ years. Simpson should have removed these junk machines from sale but where money is involved they would rather keep selling them and risking the lives of users. I would not have another Simpson product if it were free.
Regards Clanger
Simpson washer goes off balance when in the spin cycle starts banging side to side. What could be the problem?
Hi Peter, I really wish that I could help you, but unfortunately my washing machine (36S605L) actually knocked holes in the villa board wall in my laundry. I contacted SIMPSON and the response I got from a guy by the 'Celleste' was that he would give me a discount from a new machine which was still going to cost me something in the region of $600 plus del. ? When I checked out the machine on offer the reports were shocking and as bad if not worse than the one which I had. This company is having this rubish manufactured oversees at very little cost and making a fortune from suckers like us. I would not ever again purchase anything with which SIMPSON has its name on. Regretfully you will probably have to pay a lot of money to have some washer repair man attempt to fix it for a short while or bite the bullet and put it on the footpath for council collection and buy a new one as long as you don't get another "SIMPSON" They are absolute "CRAP"
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Regards Clanger.
Can someone at Electrolux please explain to me why and how can a washing machine (Simpson Easy set 605 ) which is designed to wash and spin a number of times during a cycle and almost every time the spin cycle has run for some time it starts banging then stops.
I have asked a number of repair people and the most popular reply is " you shouldn't have bought that model in the first place. These things are designed to wash and spin, what is it that causes this to happen and why should I pay to have it fixed? This thing has done very little and certainly has not been abused, it looks like new but works like model in need of a lot more thought.
If this thing was a lemon why did they put them to market. I would love to set this dammed thing, go shopping and return to find it finished its wash and switched off without having to stand over it to spin the clothes. I also wish I had read this Product Review site some time ago as I wouldn't be in this position now. clangerkeep@yahoo.com.au.
We have always used Simpson washing machines they were reliable & lasted many years. This newer model (made overseas) like this do not meet my expectation. To prevent banging from side to side I put dry clothes, sheets, towels etc.. evenly in the washer & during cycle the washer would bang or stop I had to take everything out & put it back evenly in the washer. I have never experienced this with previous Simpson washer. I would gladly trade this model for an older Aust. made or another brand, and I'm willing to pay more.
Thank you Lel, I have tried all sorts of different ways to get this tin box to perform but at last it seems to have dawned on me that it probably is a tin box or bucket that I need to do the washing. The most annoying thing is, that as a busy person I am not able to do my washing unless I stay home to monitor the dammed thing. I believe that these companies do have a duty to fix these things. A case in example is the problems that buyers of the Samsung washers have had, houses being burned down and still they haven't put out a re-call.
Who knows what is possible with these washers when they start banging around."For a good thing they stop,"
But what damage is being done to the things like wiring which we can't see, possible electric shock????
As customers we are have the 'Micky' taken out of us. But trust me, The worm will turn and we will make these companies accountable. I will devote my time to bringing these people to account rather than standing over the washing machine and wasting my time. My mother had a washing machine that was 18yrs old for gods sake and still worked after she stopped working.
Does Simpson ezi set 9.5kg have a coin trap??
