Simpson SWT704 EZIset No AC power or lights on the control board.
Very Common fault with this washer. The power supply in the control board often burns out. If you un-plug machine (important!) and take apart the rear control panel with all the controls- start with 2 (or 4) screws at rear - then you can often see the burn marks on the back of the printed circuit board. Replacing the controller board costs about $120-160 (look at Ebay) - the repair is easy to do and should last a while. Note - this is a major design flaw with these machines - Even with the machine switched off - the power supply inside remains powered on 24/7. You need to switch off the mains switch at the wall to properly power down the circuitry. I have fixed 6 of these faults.

no power to my washing machine
was doing a load of washing yesterday and all of a sudden no power to the panel .
Hi Owen It’ll be the PCB behind the selection knob. The power connects through there. I had a burnt out card previously. Just google the washers model number and find the spare part. Easy to change. It’s a bucket of crap of a machine. Mine keeps beeping up error but continues washing. I’ve also paid a tech to replaced the suspension rods. It gets out of balance really easy again and it’ll be a matter of time before one breaks again.
Why are my clothes fluffy. Ive cleared filter and rinsed bowl but everything comes out fluffy
Its a swt1043
Good morning Netty, I would suggest that you clean the filter that fits into the top of the agitator and then check the agitator carefully for damage and rough spots that will cause this problem.
My simpson washing machine has no power model SWT704
Not sure if you received an answer, but mine did the same. Unplug the power from the wall. Remove the 4 screws that hold the display panel, and take the Power Control Board over to a local Simpsons parts supplier ($49.50) for a new one. Power restored. You can get it cheaper from ebay, but delivery is like up to 2 weeks. The PCB is the one that has about 3 or 4 plugs attached onto it.
my simpson washing machine model swt704 won't stay on what could be the problem?
Hello Phill, there are two items that I may suggest that could be your problem. The first is the cutout switch that stops the machine when you lift the lid. It is situated up under the left hand rear hinge. When the machine is running you could try lifting the lid. If the machine stops when the lid is a tiny bit open it would indicate that it could need attention. The other problem that we had with our machine is that we had to replace the control panel when it was only a few months old.
