Saving time and money and cleans like a gem – I brought my 9kg Simpson Washing machine six months ago. Its large enough to take blankets and allows me to do big loads at same run time as smaller models.

they bragged about in the marketing blurb).

To add insult to injury the machine fails to a Locked position. When something goes wrong the lid is locked and cannot be opened period! So a very busy wife had to hand wash her current clothes to race out to work as all her gear was locked in!

Electrolux soon dispatched the tech ( all good ) who promised to get a report through asap so 2nds World could effect replacement. That didnt occur. until half a dozen calls and the next day. but as 2nds world had quite a few machines on the floor we didnt see a problem.

BUT by 9;30am the next day "they were all gone" so we had to pay extra for a so called new machine. The extra is mysteriously the price of 2 way transport.fee and nothing like the RRP price or reality.

There were a couple of helpful staff at Electrolux,

No helpful staff (until pushed) at 2nds world or their HQ

We did get a couple of people who just seemed to enjoy running us around in circles.

Marketing hype (even vaguely) meeting reality= FAIL

Customer service? hahahah.

From now on we will only buy from the manufacturer or their immediate sales outlet and never old names like Simpson, Westinghouse, Maytag etc who have all been taken over and destroyed.

Don't be fooled by the star rating – This machine does not meet our expectations as a replacement for our 15 Y O Whirlpool. It only took a couple of wash cycles to realise I've been had. The machine is not time efficient, the programmes are longer, allow an extra 10 to 15 mins per wash cycle. yes they are noisy nothing to worry about," hopefully it will last the warranty period!" If your gearbox sounds like it's continuously grinding and can hear it upstairs in a two story dwelling, don't worry its OK!!!!!!! Washing loads are always on Auto as when I have used levels it spins unbalanced, it is apparently goes on weight, find this hard to understand as most times I have a full load and only fills up half with water. The lint filter has to be constantly emptied & fail to see how a small gauze bag, attached on 2 clips will last as it is obviously flimsy. The different cycles ie 45 min cycle is for a few small pieces of clothing. Other cycles are available but cannot be used as I only use cold water; something else we were unaware on purchasing this machine.

Excellent – It cleans my cloths very well and it does not wear out any of my clothes it is very quiet I can’t hear a pin drop and my favourite features are you can set the settings how you want it and you never need to change them and it’s soo quiet  Show details

Best purchase – This is the best washing machine Ive bought. It works just like a front loader with an auto sensor so we arent wasting water and it's good for the environment. I can wash a queen size quilt so saves on dry cleaning bills. Has a great delicate cycle that doesn't ruin your special items.  Show details

Best I have ever had – I just love this machine, it washes clothes like a dream, I really get dirty when out in bush and this machine washes them to the point they look brand new. It really runs smoothly and not that loud either. I wash everyday and this has not let me down. Well Done Simpson.  Show details
