Don't believe all the good reviews, no real support, you only get an Ai receptionist with an American accent & can NEVER speak to a human. Outdated billing & web software that times out when you go to pay a bill if you're on a dynamic IP connection. Avoid!

The best I have used – Porting numbers worked fine. Pricing is very competitive. I recommended to the radio station where I volunteer and saved them hundreds of dollars monthly. Uptime is the best I’ve seen. Show reply

SipTalk are definitely 5 star! Very happy with my new service – Background - I was with TPG for a few years, on an NBN 50/20 plan with Voice bundle and I have to say that from the beginning the voice service was never a stand out performer. Recently it was barely usable at all. It definitely isn't my internet connection causing the issues, as that's FTTC and performs at around 49/19 most days. Many others are… Read more

also experiencing issues with TPG/iiNet/Westnet voice as is clear from people posting on various forums. I started looking for an alternative provider, and I switched to SipTalk after seeing what others had to say about them.

SipTalk are definitely first class. This is literally the closest I have come to a real PSTN landline since I switched here at home to NBN and at work as well many years ago. To get connected to SipTalk, I needed to purchase either another Router with VOIP or a separate ATA, as TPG have locked my modem and do not provide SIP settings for their own voice service or access to modify the router to another provider. Basically that meant I could not re-configure it. Technically you don't have to use a separate ATA or new router, if your modem/router is unlocked and you can configure your Voice settings - then you can configure it to SipTalk.

As I am a cheapskate and didn't want to fork out for a new router at over $200, I purchased a separate Grandstream HT801 ATA which was definitely cheap enough at $75 from PLE. I updated it to the latest firmware first off, and then it was a very quick crash course in how to configure this beast up with SipTalk given it is one complex device and not all that user friendly. None the less, once you work it out, it is rock solid and stable and works with SipTalk perfectly. The online Web portal with SipTalk provides you everything you need to be able to configure your router or ATA, and on Whirlpool if you get stuck - there is a step by step guide that walks you through the whole SipTalk process.

You would currently swear I had a real PSTN line installed. It is stable, clear, and very fast to connect. None of this has anything to do with the Grandstream ATA, its definitely the class of service that SipTalk offer, you just cannot compare it to the service TPG provided. I am sure it would work just as well for you using a router if yours was unlocked and could be configured (unlike mine).

This whole exercise has taught me one thing, keep your voice service and internet separated! That way when churning/porting/moving services or internet, they don't impact on each other. SipTalk submitted my port request almost immediately and emailed me confirmation this was done. Certainly cannot complain about that.

Would I recommend SipTalk? - ABSOLUTELY 100%. Wish I did my research years ago, they are very good at what they do. I would definitely from here on use a dedicated voice company over an ISP any day to host my phone line. The rates are impressive too. They don't have over inflated / bloated monthly plans, they just charge $2.95 a month for the number, then 0.11c for local/national calls and 0.09c p/m for mobile calls. Much cheaper than most ISP casual plans. I am glad I found them and will definitely recommend them to whoever I can.

Top service, thank you – I chose Siptalk after comparing a few providers with my typical usage. Joining was straight forward, but configuring my voip soft phone was not. Graeme from Siptalk service and I spent almost an afternoon trying to figure out what was wrong. I think he got more pictures (screenshots) from me than my girlfriend. But after installing the voip app… Read more

he had recommended, and finally unticking the "SIP ALG" setting in my router, it worked! Thanks so much. Service is essential, and this one was exemplary.

Sadly, it seems they have not learned lessons from their past – Was ported to them over Christmas. Received no notification when my numbers were ported. No response and not even a holidays shutdown notice on their support number/email/Web site/social media. Vague apologies fro "dropping the ball" is all I've received since. Seems their services get decent reviews for reliability but they appear to not be… Read more

learning lessons and improving on the customer service side, which is really not ideal for something as critical as your telephone services.

Excellent service – We've been with Siptalk since their Telecube days and apart from that bumpy time a while back, all settled down to the point where it's just fire and forget. Support is local which is great during miscellaneous crises and resolution is quick. Only very minor issues from time to time which are resolved quickly. Highly recommended.

So far so good! – At first, I found it a little confusing with all the settings. I wished there was more information on the site to explain all the terminology. I am new to VOIP and was hesitant at first to jump straight in. But now things are running, i am very pleased so far with how it works. Will recommend. Show reply

Perfect service, very intuitive interface, highly recommended – I wanted a DID number in emergency and this company made it possible to have a working number in less than 5 minutes. Website has a very smooth intuitive interface. Everything worked perfectly. The phone is installed in 2spiceguru restaurant in Perth. Show reply

Don't pay mega bucks for a comprehensive office VOIP solution – Have been with Siptalk for a few years. Has the occasional hiccup - but the service is effectively free. If you want to run an office with satellite locations then this is an ideal solution. Comprehensive enough to manage your business. With everyone moving to NBN port your main number to the cloud and you never require an actual land line again.… Read more ·  1

Own Phone numbers, Incoming / Outgoing services, Fax service, Redirection, Line Hunt. Have as many extensions you want and no cost. Even an SMS service, would be good if they could expand this service - currently single use. Was their when is went from Telecube to Siptalk (not sure what happened here)

Years On & still HAPPY – OK when I first signed up it was a steep learning curve for me and I made mistakes in my settings but on the plus side every E-mail and or Chat query I made was helpfully and politely answered. With all the poor service, lies and misinformation we normally associate with TEC Company's nowadays it's wonderful when our low expectations are finally… Read more ·  1

exceeded. Since switching off my landline and joining SipTalk some years ago I have never had better, cheaper and or reliable phone communication! I have seen an over tenfold reduction in my phone bill. I have never looked back to the days of static, disconnections and weeks of outages that was the norm with Telstra. You will note I waited a long time to do this review. It was certainly time I posted about something Positive and Siptalk has exceeded all my expectations consistently now for some time. In this world of self back-patting, fake promises and misinformation I am so glad I stumbled upon Siptalk. I kept my original phone number and have now got much more control over many more options. I even still get those nuisance calls and those foreign con artists with poor English but they have never sounded so clear. Finally don't take my word you can give them a try for almost nothing. I saved over $37 a month just on line RENTAL, I have no contract, it's all prepaid and I top up yearly about what I used to pay monthly.

Siptalk does NOT ever deliver – rubbish company, spoke with [Name Removed] every week for a month. he was useless, never replied to emails. always promised i would get an update in next few days, and never actually updated me after a month of waiting. i got fed up, and joined a different provider. siptalk still has still NOT submitted a request to port my number.

Product works but zero customer service – - Siptalk appears a rebrand of Telecube. we use the toll free number and redirection services - No notification was given of the date of change over from Telecube to Siptalk and only one email was sent regarding the change. that email said "At this point there's nothing for you to do, we will take care of the move for you". That statement was… Read more

wrong.

- the result was our service (and our business phone number which is exclusively used for customer support) was disconnected

- i wrote to advise of the issue with a/. communication of the change b/. getting cut off and have not had a response.

- if you anticipate a need for customer support, or you are a mission critical business like ours, then do not use this provider. there is no support.

NB. The new Siptalk was launched 12 Sept 2018. Reviews prior to this date are likely to be when the company was under different management/ownership and therefore not reliable.

Out of business? Website doesn't work. Phone support hangs up – I'm wondering if SIPTALK is out of business. Their website lets me create an account, but I can't create any services. I've called the support line, but once you choose from the first top-level menu, it hangs up.

great customer service – after the frustrations of dealing with the likes of iinet and internode, it's such a terrific change to deal with a provider who responds to support emails almost straightaway. Product (VOIP phone) is good and cheap

Great VSP – Very cheap line rental for DID & excellent price on calls. Local technical support. It has an annoying "one time password" feature, requiring you to send a token to your email account every time you want to log in to certain parts of your account.

Great VSP with excellent customer service! – Since Telecube took over Siptalk from PCRange, it has had a bit of a make-over. Specifically, it is now cheaper than ever to make VoIP calls with Siptalk. To get the cheapest rates, sign up via the Siptalk Whirlpool Offer (google it!). Make sure to read the instructions carefully in the first post by John If there is anything you are not sure… Read more

about, just ask in that thread. Users will be all too happy to assist you.

If you do get stuck and cannot work it out with help from the Whirlpool forum, you will find that the Siptalk guys will do their best to get you up and running and sort out any potential problems. I have tried a number of VSPs over the years and Siptalk is one of my favourites. We mainly use them now for their cheap calls to mobile numbers, just 6.6 cents per minute on the Whirlpool Offer. For landline calls, you have the choice between timed and untimed rates. You will find all the details in John's Siptalk Whirlpool Offer.

It is free to sign up and try the service by calling extension to extension but, to make charged calls and to apply the Whirlpool Offer rates, you need to put some credit into your account.

I highly recommend Siptalk and, for heavy users and business users, their sister company, Telecube. Both VSPs are run by the same dedicated team.

Excellent support and response times – I was looking for a new provider due to my earlier provider not replying to calls, emails and complaint. Siptalk was one of several providers I emailed for some information. The Siptalk sales rep replied within only a few hours (on a weekend at that) to my email with detailed answers, and when I had the inevitable problems with the initial… Read more

setup/configuration, their tech support responded within minutes on the 2 occasions I needed them. I only had the service for a bit more than a week now, so I lack long-term experience, but to me services like phone and internet are only as good as their support. What use is a cheap provider when you are without a functioning phone for days because of support problems? By the way, Siptalk rates are good value as well.
