They used to be great up until the past few months where the textline / app has not been working causing us to miss lots of texts. The most recent one this week/weekend has meant that we can't send or receive any texts even when the systems show that they are up which is super damaging to our business. Their support has not been great either,… Read more

each time we've called we just get a "we're working on it".

We've tried to hang in there hoping things would change but this most recent issue final time has been the last straw.

The sound and connectivity for calls via the app is also not great so I would suggest a different product if this is something you need.

Pretty bloody good! Good interface/website. Easy to understand and get a number going at a good price. Much easier than managing your own PBX. Their service has been good too. I really like them!

The product works well, but what stands out is the really amazing customer service. I've contacted these guys a few times during the set-up process and they were always extremely helpful.

So far so good, ported my Skype number and land it on the phone app. AI chat is good for support and you can phone the help desk . If the call forward was default "on" for new accounts it could save some confusion. Since the review I've set up 2 companies PBX system using Crazy PBX. I've used Android phones and tablets where I needed standalone… Read more

extension as well on iPhone. Amazingly cost-effective, one site only has Starlink after I cancelled the wire analogue service from Telstra, so it's saved a heap of money and is more reliable too. The android handsets do have a tendency to take their time to wake up after long periods of inactivity. I've tried every option to keep them alive, to combat this I have extended the ring timers. Voicemail is cloud based and delivered as an email attachment so nothing important get's lost in the excitement of it all :)

Excellent customer service, great price. I was worried when I signed up for a voip, I'm techie enough to get myself into trouble, so when setting it up, having what almost seems like a personal helper in Tom available on the phone, made life super simple. I have recommended Crazytel to others already.

A telco company that is based in Australia and has Australian support staff who are, by a long shot, the best customer support people I have ever dealt with AND a great platform AND unbelievably well price.... This company is a Unicorn. It's hard to believe it exists. Could not be happier!!!!!!!!

Fine. Always get through on the phone quickly. Polite and technically helpful staff. Very cheap phone number rental at $2 month. What's not to like?

Why didn't I do it sooner. Not keen to share this secret – So I am somewhat conflicted to leave this review because on one hand these guys really do deserve the 5 star rating but on the other hand I want to keep this to myself as a secret because its a well known fact that the larger a company gets the customer service declines.... But as it stands I should of jumped ship from Telstra a long long time… Read more

ago, yes there are subtle disadvantages with going to VOIP but it was a case of paying over $300 a month with Telstra and only receiving sub par services. Crazytel on the other hand, if there is even the slightest issue, I can make one phone call to the main tech (Who use to work for Telstra) and he fixes any issue I have on the spot, no waiting in line, no waiting on end for days for action. I have only had to use the tech services like 3 times at the beginning of joining up and I have been with them for just on 12 months. Within this time, the cost of my business lines and calls is less then the cost of 1 month with Telstra. Can you believe that!? If I want to do something with my network, instead of being told why I cant, they simple tell me how to do it or get it done for me. This type of service is not for everyone I must stress and will require a fast internet connection but it serves my business needs and Crazytel have me as a loyal customer for life.

Great Customer Service and Ease to use system – I had an amazing experience with Crazy Phone's VOIP PBX service. Tim provided exceptional customer support and went above and beyond to ensure a seamless experience. The system was incredibly user-friendly, and any technical issues were promptly resolved by Tim and was provided great pre sales support by Phil. I highly recommend Crazy Phone for its reliable service and outstanding support.

Good Service..but Maybe Not For VoIP Beginners – Signed up to replace a long-standing VoIP service with another provider. Very good value! $10 a month gets you FREE unlimited Australian local, national and mobile calls and one DID ( Dial in Direct) number. You can create up to ten SIP trunks and call freely between them if you know what you are doing. Technical support don’t know what they are… Read more ·  1

doing. They couldn’t explain how to call freely Crazytel to Crazytel as advertised (SIP URI). Very competitive international call rates. On their portal, it’s not very clear that you setup the $10 ‘Cray Cray’ plan and then add the SIP trunks and number porting and DID. Also not clear that the initial password and username have to be used to create each set of different SIP credentials (username and password!) that you plug into your ATAs ( I use Obihai) or Mobile phone clients ( I use Zoiper). No technical support for these devices is supplied. After configuring, the service works extremely well, so far.

This is a very difficult company to deal with – The amount I was charged was not what was intially agreed. Unfortunately, because it was confirmed in a phone call (and I didn't record the call - who does?), the carrier told me they could charge whatever they wanted. Further, Phil from their business department was totally uninterested in providing any kind of support. I also found they had been… Read more

charging me for months for a service despite not sending any invoices or notifying me in any way that my funds were being taken. This company cannot be trusted. If you sign up with them, you are simply lighting a fuse of uncertain length.

You can't have a home VoIP service unless you also have a cell phone – Struggling financially? Finding it difficult to cope with skyrocketing costs? Don't have a cell phone? Crazytel will not sell you their VoIP service unless you have a cell phone (which makes the whole point of a home phone redundant). Despite having email, landline and physical home addresses to verify against, as well as any other number of… Read more

ways to prove one's identity Crazytel absolutely will not sell you any service unless you have a cell phone.

I am on disability. I'm quite poor. I can't afford the cost of a cell phone, or the recurring costs. I have no need of mobile technologies. I make maybe 3 calls a month and receive one call about 3 months. Spending money on a cell phone is not a smart choice, not when the total cost of the VoIP service is about $2.00 per month.

Despite this - no cell phone - no service. I wouldn't buy a product from these people now even if I did have a cell phone. What advantage is there to them for the customer to have a cell phone? They claim verification purposes. There is obviously more to it than that. I don't think they are being up front

Obviously I can't provide invoices when the company refuses to sell me their service.

The perfect VoIP provider for me – Reliable, inexpensive, great customer support, presence on Whirlpool. Heaps of features, including my favourite, ring groups. I have 5 SIP trunks that all ring simultaneously when someone rings our DID.

Misleading DID prices, dissinterested support not willing to fix – Signed up to crazytel - and this is my experience so far; -Purchased DIDs on the 25th and 26th - paid $1 each -On 27th was charged $1 again for each DID - Support says too bad, it is the anniversary of your first DID purchase, we dont prorata. This is very misleading advertising as the signup indicates per month, not on an anniversary date which… Read more

happens to be 2 days away. - Cant find the coupon code section under my account to enter the whirlpool code -When they debited the DID balance from my prepaid account balance the account suspends and needs the SIP trunk to be manually activated from the SIP trunk section before it can start making/receiving calls again.

Support had a really dissinterested attitude and didnt offer any attempt to rectify. So far pretty dissapointing. I was hoping to stay but it looks like my patronage might be short lived and I'll pack up and go elsewhere.

Solid performance and excellent help desk – Other than a few teething issues with the ATA the service has been faultless. Call quality, reliability has been excellent and the help desk for all my stupid questions have been wonderful. I started with the pay as you go option with the expectation that I would go to the "all you can eat $10 per month option" as my usage increased but the calls… Read more

are so cheap that I haven't exceed $10 per month yet. This service is highly recommended and my family are all changing to Crazytel as their existing landline contracts expire.

Disorganised – Re: VOIP service I lodged a simple billing dispute via my Paypal account for my VOIP service and rather than respond with an explanation they completely closed my account without even consulting me. The billing system they use is not user friendly and complaint handling process seems non-existent. Extremely disorganised & unprofessional.

Easy-ish to use, mobile app good but fails overall – The Crazytel portal isn't the easiest of interfaces to manage. Lots of menus then the submenus. Options after options. It's Crazy to manage. Took me 15 minutes just to work out "where" my new number I had just purchased was. The Crazytel Android app, easy to use. You get, run it, and then once found the part on the crazytel website, click the QR… Read more

code, and it's up and running. MAJOR problem was, as soon as I minimised the Crazytel App or returned to the home screen, it logged out and went offline. I raised this issue with support, but weeks later, nothing, so I've cancelled my account as I am not paying for a product that I cannot use. I personally would find a different provider with better support, even if it is not Australian. Customer Service is prompt, even if un-helpful. Never received or made any calls so cannot comment on call quality SMS were only forwarded to phone if Crazytel app was open and screen saver disabled. HOWEVER SMS's were recorded in some submenu-menu in the portal and makes a good backup

You get what you pay for – The service works as it should. No service issues. Have had multiple billing issues. Issues were resolved but what a waste of my time for such a menial service, I thought it was supposed to an easy product.

Awful customer service – Unfortunately, I have nothing positive to say about them. Signed up, went ages before I heard from them to get things rolling, turns out they were calling the wrong number despite details being correct when I signed up. Had some issues/questions while getting set up, emailed them, super slow reply, actually from memory I didn't even get a reply… Read more

:(

Then when I decided I had enough, requested they cancel the plan. Nothing. They charged me again, replied, again reminding them to cancel the plan and refund what they just charged. Eventually got a reply where they said they refunded it. Included in the reply details of the bank transfer for the refunds, which is great as I never gave them my bank details, they sent it somewhere else, not to me.

Reply to that, no reply, nothing, zilch, not a sausage. A month later they have now debited my card again, so not only did they not refund it correctly, they didn't cancel it correctly.

Reply again 4 days ago giving a final warning to deal with the issues.... yep, you guessed it, no reply.

I don't understand it, everything I read about them is largely positive, so no idea why I'm getting this experience but this isn't just one slip up, this is many many slip-ups with no attempt to correct any of this.

I'll have one last attempt at getting in touch with them then I'll be doing chargebacks.

Billing issues – Good web site, reasonable price and good call quality...... Billing issues surface during my trial period however ...... Basically calling records/charges went missing in the portal for more than a week undetected by Crazytel, and this make it looks like your money disappear (in the portal). After contact, Crazytel found the record and put it… Read more

back in. Yet support staff could not explain the strange status of the added record (see image below)!?! When ask why such error went unnoticed, the reply is ...... Basically this is deemed a rare error by Crazytel and won't do anything about it to prevent/detect it!

On Whirlpool there is another user with similar issue as well ..... https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/thread/90y0wlp3

So if you decide to go with this service, please double check their billing records regularly!

Good for the technically inclined – I think that before moving over to a VoIP phone provider like Crazytel, its important to make sure that you are prepared to do the work to understand what you are buying. A telephone nowadays is no longer like in days of old where you plugged it into the wall, got a number from Telecom and started dialing. Big telcos will hide this from you so… Read more

that the mass market consumer doesnt get horribly confused. But if you are willing to spend a couple of hours learning something new (and Crazytel is more than happy to respond to queries), then I can completely recommend Crazytel as a great way to get a quality phone service that is far and away more flexible, independent of any 'bundling' with stuff you dont need, and where you can provide your own hardware rather than being forced to use crippled ISP hardware.

Just be prepared to learn and be exposed to some complexity, knowing there IS a path through.

Glad i stumbled upon them – After seeing the name Crazytel being thrown around in some forums online i decided to choose them as my VoIP home phone provider after switching from ADSL to NBN. Boy am i glad i did! Their services come off as enterprise grade and this is present within their semi-complicated sign up & porting process; as such i wouldn't recommend Crazytel for anyone who isn't familiar with VoIP or computers. Reliable service with a Pay-As-You-Go model.
