Useless conpany, warranty and matress – Within 2 years, this matress has sagged so badly that its already been thrown out with the hard rubbish. Sleepmaker are a joke. They will charge you for their defective matress to be investigated and then blame normal wear and tear for their defective product as they're short on coin and cannot replace mattresses free of charge like other more reputable brands Stay away from Sleepmaker!! Show details

Worthless warranty matches worthless product – I purchased this very expensive mattress (and base) in December 2017 for its extra firm support on the recommendation of the sales staff at Sleepy's as I am often a stomach sleeper. At first it felt great but I quickly realised that the memory foam topper made it very hot. I called the store to complain and they recommended a gel topper that I… Read more

could purchase for an extra few hundred dollars. I declined. After about 18 months I started developing back and neck problems that I had never had before and then waking with headaches most days. I didn't realise it was the bed causing it until I went away recently for 8 weeks and thought every cheap mattress I slept on felt better than mine and my back & neck pain completely disappeared. Within a few days back in my own bed I was in pain again and waking with headaches every day. After only 35 months worth of use there is a ridge in the middle of the bed and the sleeping zones appear to have zero support at all with complete sag under the body when in situ. I called to make a warranty claim but after following all the instructions for submitting an explanation, photos etc the company emailed back saying it was "normal body contouring" and not a manufacturing fault. They made it clear that if I insisted on an inspection I risk getting the same answer plus a bill for $150. On top of the cost of professional cleaning first before they will accept my spotless mattress for inspection! I am confident that nothing I say or do will convince them to refund my money thus the 10 year warranty is worthless. This company are shameless and unhelpful and in breach of Australian Consumer Law. I have sent the retailer a letter of demand on the basis that the product is not fit for purpose and I now intend to take this to tribunal if necessary to get a full refund. I have purchased a cheap replacement mattress elsewhere which is already infinitely better and I will never spend that much money again. I will also never get back the hundreds of dollars spent on professional health services for treatment of my pain or the value of subsequent lost productivity.

Awful don't buy – Have had the mattress for 4 months. Was great to start with, however there is now a deep crater/indentation in the middle of the mattress. Nothing to do with body weight as weigh less than 60kg. Have heard a popping sound a couple of times - presumably the springs have failed or broken completely. Apparently this is a normal body contour. I don't think so.  Show details

Chiro Align 400 Defective – This mattress was recommended by my chiropractor, sadly the bed is not very supportive at all and has caused my back and neck problems to get significantly worse. The supplier Sleepys, was not particular helpful and then I discovered that the manufacturer has completely redesigned this bed because of all the adverse feedback. The will align your… Read more

Don't buy a pillow top mattress!! – FYI people who are looking to purchase a mattress - DON'T BUY A PILLOW TOP MATTRESS THAT YOU CANNOT TURN OVER !!! These mattress's feel great for 6 months then the expensive thing becomes another thing altogether. Deep body impressions and a annoying bump in the middle. Buy a mattress that you can flip upside down, or buy one with a removalble… Read more

pillow top ... Next time I crazily decide to spend almost $5000 !! on a mattress I will go to Makin Mattresses, they seem to have mattresses that you can flip and have removable pillow tops that you can flip too....the team at Sleepmaker can do nothing to help you with your stupid expensive mattress.... Google how to remove pillow tops.. that is what I am going to do...I even spent another $400 to have the pillow top firmed up but it only lasted a couple of weeks before it was back to deep body impressions and a bump in the middle - so unhappy about this purchase and the lack of customer after care especially with 10 yr warranty - means nothing!

Don't waste your money!!!! – This has to be the worst mattress ever! Purchased this so called firm mattress as I suffer from arthritis and a whole heap of other medical issues. Spent a small fortune on this mattress and it is absolutely terrible. I have done all the right things and keep it looking perfect. 6 weeks after purchase it had to be taken away as it was faulty. I… Read more

was given a terrible loan mattress which made my pain even worse. Now a year later it has been repaired 2 more times, each time it has apparently been fixed but came back worse along with the terrible loan mattress. How sleep maker can justify giving someone a smaller thinner mattress for a week compared to what the customer purchased is beyond me! Now I've received my apparent brand new replacement mattress and my children's medium feel mattress is harder than my so called firm mattress. Absolutely disgusted at sleep maker for selling worthless mattresses that do not help in any way, make sleeping hard to do and even harder to get up each day increasing my pain dramatically. The entire mattress sags and loses its firmness within weeks. I now need to find the money to replace this waste of a mattress. Time to call the department of fair trading to see what can be done as I'm sick of dealing with sleep maker who just want to keep taking my mattress away to apparently fix it. Just give me my money back!!

Big financial mistake – It was firm as we requested but over time it was just too hard, it was our own fault for not taking the 60 day recall offer, but it was just too awful 1 year later we have had to spend $2300 on a new mattress. Partner disturbance was a big issue too.  Show details

This bed is killing my back and has lost all support – I purchased the chiro 400 around 11 months ago and it has now become my biggest mistake . It gives me a sore back provides no support. My current partner hates this matress . When It first arrived I was happy but over this 11 month period this bed has gone down hill . Today I just ordered an over lay to asssist with support . I did call sleepys and they were not very helpful . Not happy at all  Show details

Sagging mattress. Causing more pain than relief! – Bought the mattress in 2012 from Sleepy's with a 10 year warranty. Even though we followed the instructions and turned the mattress around again and again the mattress started to dip and sink on both sides for nearly 40mm and the topper would not recover. Both weighing under 80kg we are not heavy weights. Sleeping in a ditch and waking up with… Read more

back pain every day. Complained at SleepMaker and they picked the mattress up for inspection. Funny enough they already knew before the pickup that they would return the mattress a few days later without even having seen or inspected it! Wonder if the mattress made it to the factory at all. Their report states that everything is fine: The deep dipping is supposed to be a sign of extra comfort (seems they don't care that it causes back pain...) They even say that the ditch is a sign of "contour comfort". They suggest that we use the mattress more evenly - as in: to sleep more on the edges and to reduce the massive bump in the middle by sleeping in the middle of the mattress and not left and right. It is a king size mattress btw.... People from Sleepy's and other retailers told us that SleepMaker had massive problems with the toppers at the time we bought our mattress due to cheap imported foam. Reading all the negative reports about the same problem seems to confirm this. Their dealing with the problem and the condescending tone of the reply confirms as well that we will never buy a Sleepmaker again!

Terrible AVOID – Like everyone else I have huge holes where I sleep. I'm only 65kilos, not enormous, and it had huge dips in it within the year. Total waste of money. 2 years later buying an ergoflex.

Sleepmaker firm 400 was right for me – I have had lower back issues for a while and this was more pronounced after I had my baby, when my back just collapsed and I was on painkillers for about 4 weeks solid. My mattress had been a gel layered sports one, which was just too soft for my back, so bought a sleepmaker chiropratic, the most firm setting. It was great, no rollover, very… Read more

firm and I was able to feed bub in bed and not rollover. I don't expect a mattress to solve my back issues (which are still ongoing but a lot better), but this mattress supports me and lets me sleep well. I continue to feed bub in bed, and have no issues, and its been 4 months later. Customer Service was good from Auburn Sleepy's as well. Very firm, no rollover It won't fix your back problems, but then I don't expect it to.

CAA = Charlatans and Accountants – I bought the Chiro 300 initially after my old mattress started sagging. I had just spent $1200 on a computer chair so I thought $1199 on a mattress was money well spent, especially when endorsed by the CAA. I was happy with the mattress for about 5 weeks, when I started to get lower back pain again. I used the comfort guarantee policy to exchange… Read more

for a firmer mattress (the Chiro 400) for the cost of $477. Big mistake. Since I swapped, I have had maybe 2 nights good sleep in almost 4 weeks. I have constant back and shoulder blade pain and sleep maybe 50% of the night. CAA endorsed - what a joke. It may be suitable for somebody who has spent most of their life sleeping on park benches and concrete - but not the average person. I have contacted them twice for help but had no response. I guess the almighty dollar is more important than helping a fellow human being live in some semblance of freedom from pain. I will never buy from Sleepy's again and scoff at the CAA endorsement. I have just ordered a Lullaby Dream mattress topper for $119 in the hope that it can ease some pain. If it goes well I may order another and leave the useless mattress in a parkland somewhere. Perhaps a hobo may find it some comfort? $1676 for a useless piece of rubbish. Expensive lesson learned. It taught me to research more before believing some farcical endorsement. The cost - $1676 for a useless item.
