Smeg DCF02BLAU (Black)
Coffee tasted great, but product is too faulty. 4 cups function doesn’t work — after a month of owning it, it simply stopped lighting up (and it makes no sense to brew a full pot all the time). Had it replaced with a new machine and after 2 weeks, same problem occurred — 4 cups didn’t light up again. I love Smeg and I’m devasted with not having my machine, but for the hefty price it makes no sense to own a faulty machine. I really wish I still had my machine, but I can’t keep having to replace it when it stops lighting again.
Purchased in at Harvey Norman for $259.

Read more twice already, it might be a problem that the product line has, not an isolated incident. I loved my machine, and the quality of the coffee it brewed — to be honest I still wish I had it. But for the almost $300 price tag, it wasn’t worth keeping it as we couldn’t use the 4 cups function. Hopefully if this is a product line error, it can be investigated in manufacturing. Thank you for reaching out though, cheers!I love all things SMEG and this machine was no different, the coffee was always perfect.
The issue I have is that after a few months the coffee pot shattered while washing, which can happen i know! I have been trying to find a replacement pot for 6 months now with no luck (unless you want to pay over $120 ) which to me seems way too high for a machine I paid $250. I was even ready to pay the extra money but so many retailers just don't have them in stock and you will be waiting months for shipment.
I'm still hopeful and haven't thrown out the machine yet!

We bought this (drip) coffee machine as our old one (of another brand) broke. We choose SMEG as we liked the look of it and SMEG products are typically of good quality I understand (or I hope so anyway as the kitchen in our new house will have all appliances from SMEG).
The coffee machine is easy to operate and has a few handy functions for instance to change the aroma or allow a few cups of coffee only to be made. What I find particularly handy is that the machine has an alarm telling you when the coffee is ready (don’t have to check to see ...
Read moreif it’s done, just listen for the beep). The coffee machine also has a timer which I use occasionally if I need to get up early and want to be on my way without having to wait for coffee. There is a little lever to the side to set the timer which I find working a lot better than the push buttons that are often used. Now the most important part: The coffee this machine makes tastes great and the different aroma settings really do make a difference. Using the same brand of coffee and the same water to coffee ratio, the coffee does taste more intense and just better in my opinion (and that of my wife.... more importantly) than it did with our previous coffee machine. I can think of only 2 downsides: 1) When pouring water into the reservoir the lid doesn’t open far enough so it’s difficult getting the last bit of water from the pot into the reservoir; 2) I’m not a big fan of the huge letters spelling “SMEG” on the machine...... this is of course very personal and others may like the look of it. Overall we’re very happy with this machine; It looks great, feels like it’s made to last and the coffee tastes great too.Purchased in at David Jones for $229.

Had my drip coffee machine for a few months now been great. Today after making a pot the descale light came on for the first time. When i tried to put it into descale mode by pushing both buttons it wont go into descale it just trys to make a pot of coffee?
Hi The auto start function wont set for me anymore, it’s been going fine for about 2 months now and then just stopped lighting up or setting. When pressing the button takes you to the timer setting, but that's it. I've seen other enquiries with the same issue. Is this an issue and Is it covered under warranty? Thankyou
