to an 'assessment' by Smeg's only authorised repairer (Atlantin Services Vic) but looking at the Product Review page for this company it seems that the service is terrible. If you're looking to purchase a coffee machine I would recommend buying something more reliable and with better after sales service.

Beautiful and efficient – Decent coffee machine if you like drip coffee. Keeps coffee warm too. I also have Smeg Expresso coffee machine and have been using it for 7 to 8 years now and love that one. Easy to use and not too many elements to worry about.
Had 2 years totally loved it until – Loved this coffee machine, great coffee, easy to use and clean. It looks totally awesome with its matching kettle, toaster, coffee grinder and milk frother.
