Great Gas Hob but beware of damaging control knobs – We purchased the PSA906-5 a year ago and have had no issues with it except that you have to careful not to drop or bump anything heavy onto the burner control knobs. The knobs are metal but sit in a plastic surround that slides onto the gas controller underneath the top. Although durable we discovered that if you accidentally drop a copper bottomed saucepan onto the knob the plastic will snap and will then wobble or worse case not grip the gas controller. Fortunately the knobs are interchangeable and a replacement knob is available from SMEG (approx $40 including postage) In future we will buy a hob that has the control knobs on the side of the burners and not in the front.
