1 Star is more then they deserve. Don’t give any job to this fraud company. They charge heavy call-out fees. Firstly they offer you $65 as a discount then ask $1000 for $250 jobs. If you refuse so they ask for call-out fees. DON’T GIVE THEM ANY JOB

stating a was not happy and wanted to discuss a fair price. No response. So I emailed again asking for a report of their findings, and mentioned fair trading and the QLD Building and Construction Commission. Response within half an hour, stating I was not authorised to deal with the matter. So my partner send an email to give me authorisation. Email didn’t send as they blocked his email. He send it from another email, they responded and asked for my mobile number, which my partner thank god didn’t give to them. I responded to them per email, saying I want to communicate via email. No response anymore. Got another quote for leak detection just so I could compare, $599. I will report to the office of fair trading and the QLD building and construction commission. And so should everyone else!

Wish I had read the reviews didnt think i needed too but here i am wasn't explained to if I didnt go ahead with the st^pid quote they offered i would be charged a fee i was told all fees were wavered. Buyer beware! An absolute scam with this company, steer clear at all costs. Quoted $1300 to unblock a drain maybe 30 mins work and if that didn’t work then they would apparently have to install new drains, major works. Paid the rip off call-out fee of $130 and limited the damage. These people need to be called out as some people would just pay the money

1 star is too much to give for this poor excuse of a company! Over $2000 for a $300 part and less than 10mins to fix on my hot water system! I unfortunately got scammed by them. Avoid at all costs! Do not call Smith's plumbing ever!

not accept his scam I asked him to leave. He then got his "boss" on the phone who proceeded with a sales call and asked me what my budget was? I told his "boss" that this whole process was a sales call not a plumbers quote and I asked him to tell his plumber to leave my premises. The plumber sat outside my house for 10 minutes in the driveway then knocked on my doorway again and asked for a $150.00 quote fee. I once again asked him to leave and I was not paying him 1 cent. quoted an extreme high price with no intention of doing the job and using a call out fee as an extortion, getting paid for not doing anything. Like many others have fallen for their dishonesty.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

Avoid at all costs. They will price gouge for everything you’ve got. Was charged $2k just to have a plastic hose replaced under the sink. Same hose for $40 at bunnings. They provide no hourly rates only fixed and then the free call out somehow ends up not being free as well.

Same experience as the other reviewers on here. Called Smith's plumbing and got Prestigious Plumbing. Wouldn't give an hourly rate as they work on a fixed price per job. We are very disappointed with our experience with this plumbing company. approximately 3.5 hours, yet immediate payment was requested on completion. Before leaving, the contractor also requested and oversaw a positive review, which felt inappropriate given the circumstances. After we became aware of what had occurred, we placed payment on hold and removed the review while seeking clarification. We were later advised that no itemised breakdown would be provided due to a “fixed price” system. Our concern is the use of high-pressure tactics with a potentially vulnerable elderly customer as well as highly inflated costs. We strongly recommend others obtain multiple quotes and ensure someone is present.

I really didn’t think I would need to check product review for a plumber. How wrong was I. Beware of Prestigious Plumbing masquerading as Smiths Plumbing. Less than 90 minutes investigation cost $700. Quote for further work $23,000.

access, went into micro detail about how the toilet needs to be dismantled etc etc etc and it would cost around $3k.

I asked them to email me the quote and I will get a second opinion as thats high for a blocked pipe...that's when the laughable and poorly executed high pressure sales tactics came out such as searching for discounts, asking me my budget, calling his supervisor (who also tried it on). I told these two around 6 times to email the quote / get out of my house...they kept going. My wife and kids found this highly amusing as they just would not listen.

I had to practically push these clowns out of my door.

These people no doubt prey on the elderly etc. I have reported them but stay well away from them.

Scheduled appointment first time next day in the morning, no show; then again in the afternoon, no show again. Every time they just claim there's some emergency. Cancelled the job, I'm gonna find someone who's got good google review records instead these doggy guys you can't even find on google maps.

actually attended her home was Smith’s Plumbing. This lack of transparency alone is concerning. My mother’s issue was simply that hot water was continuously running from her shower. She was told her entire hot water system needed to be replaced. A new 88L hot water system and the replacement of a couple of washers ended up costing her an outrageous $6,500. Taking advantage of an elderly, vulnerable person is disgraceful. Shame on Smith’s Plumbing for preying on people who trust you to do the right thing.
