What happens when E3 comes up
What E3 mean in the SOLT 5.5 litre Machine mean
I have 5.5 kg top load. Lately when I start any washing program it fills the water and on washing makes clicking noise but not washing the clothes. There is no error and the cycle completes but does not wash. What could be wrong pls help.
Hi sometimes I would just like to spin some hand wash clothes. Solt top loader 5.5kg I press spin and yes it spins but the automatically starts filling up with water. How can I just spin - it seems a simple operation if I press spin.
How did you get the lid off? We're having difficulty getting it off.
I never tried to remove just the lid but I had the whole top of the machine loose including the control panel. Two phillips screws on the rear clearly visible and two hidden phillips screws under white plastic covers forward left and right sides of plastic top. Pry the little white covers off to reveal the screws.

E3 keeps coming on

Another option is to just stick the lever down with sticky tape (good if you don't want to drill). Although I admittedly don't know how long that will last long term.
My auto plate keeps coming off screw it back down and comes off in the washing machine cycle

Hello Solt, I've been trying to get help solving a problem with my 5.5 kilogram top loading washing machine. When I try to start it after selecting the relevant program all I get is e3. I have been asking & asking for help without even a response. This seems to be a common customer experience. It also seems to be a common defect with these machines. Perhaps all the other people who have this problem might have to join me in demanding action from you people. It's completely unacceptable. Please respond & help us immediately please.
I'm definitely up for a class action - the product should be recalled and customers compensated fro their purchase

When I turn on the machine the power comes on but when I try to set the wash program it emits a continuous tone & a E3 comes up on the screen. This machine is less than two years old & has been well looked after. This is the fist time we've had a problem can you advise us how to rectify this problem please. Thankyou Chris Poleson, Owner.
We have a Solt GGSTLW55B with the E3 code. Found what was causing the error. On the back of the lid, there is a little plastic tab that activates the switch to let the machine know when the lid is open. This piece of plastic broke on ours. It is a relatively easy fix. You do have to remove the top of the machine though. Once the lid is off, unscrew the large grey cover at the back, there you will see on the left hand side a switch that has two red wires. Simply cable tie the switch closed. Note, this method does remove the safety feature of when opening the lid the machine will stop. Easy to get around though, just press pause first. Hope this helps the people trying to resolve this issue. Easy fix for the cost of a single cable tie, alot cheaper than a new machine. I do have a picture of the failure, but cant seem to upload pictures here

My solt 8.5 toploader had rubbish in pump and wouldn't drain . That fixed now attempts start up n stops straight away with F8 error code
My WMachine keeps comming up with E3 saying the lid isnt shut, its closed ive cleaned the track on the inside, theres nothing wrong with the lid

Yes, I'm having this problem too. Apparently it's something to do with the machine not registering that the lid is closed even when it is.They won't answer my requests for information & help so I'm going to get the department of consumer affairs involved. I am getting very angry.
