2 faulty main bd in 5 years – I had this tv for 5 years. 2years+, 1st faulty main bd, Sony replaced the main bd(no charge). Few weeks ago, it broke down again, the main bd as to be replaced again, this time sony want to charge me for the repair. I don`t think that a $4000 TV should breakdown in this short time and last only 5 years, for a Sony it is very embarrassing. Those tv… Read more
are overpriced for the quality. It is a android tv and it was already slow to react after 3 years. I agree with Invento, this tv have a bleeding issue, for the price you think it would be properly adjusted. Sony completely lost they touch about built quality but not the pricing. Edit: After multiple communication with Sony and looking in consumer protection, Sony agree to repair the tv, no charge. I wish Sony will done that at the start it would avoid this review frustration and a wasting time in both parties. Thanks Sony to repair my tv without charge to me.
Screen bleeding issues – This particular model has really bad screen bleeding problems. I would never buy a edge lid lcd again. Neither the retailer or Sony make you aware of that problem. Sony is not what they used to be. Show details

TV is good when watching HD channels – I haven’t used this tv much since purchase but it was easy to set up and is slim and not too bulky. I find the picture on normal channels more blurry compared to our 65” LG tv. Understand the bigger the tv the worse the picture so not sure if it’s good or bad though as I don’t have another tv the same size to compare it to. That’s just my… Read more
first impression - there is a noticeable difference in picture quality.
When watching HD channels the picture is much better.
Sound quality is good without needing to buy a sound bar or anything.
Amazing – With Android TV its easy to watch Netflix, Foxtel or listen to my favorite tunes on Spotify. The controls are intuitive my previous TV was a Samsung and switching over was not hard at all. With 4 HDMI ports conveniently located on the side its easy to plug a laptop in and check my emails in full 4k /JK/. But plugin in a laptop is simple as… Read more
