Never answer the phone when trying to talk to someone in service dept. I left a message last week and still no return call. Tried calling again this morning. Still no answer so I hung up. Off to another dealership …. Again!!! Mark Kiama
I took my VWTiguan with a broken rear rego plate to Southern Classic VW. Even though I did not purchase the vehicle from them the staff were more than happy to replace the bracket holding the plate. The repair was done quickly and without fuss and at no charge. The staff were all pleasant and helpful towards me. I would recommend them for the outstanding level of service they provided.
in the last month I have had to go from vincentia to milton hospital after wife broke her leg. I want to thank the service team as the car now has 98k is running as smoothly as ever. thank you team
Follow-up · little could be done as the message "workshop error" was incomplete and service was unsure. seemed to have something to do with use of PARK. I have received only one more notice but nothing in the last two weeks.
Went to Southern Classic Skoda to look at a Kamiq as a possible replacement for my wife's 10 year old Ford Fiesta. Saw the Skoda Kamiq and had it nicely demonstrated by salesman Will. Took it for a test drive and loved it. No pressure, but it was the right car in the right place at the right time. Got a good deal, and picked up the car at the agreed time. Very happy with the professionalism and service from SCC. Show details
I’m extremely disappointed with Southern Classic Cars. From the start, they couldn’t even get my name right—basic professionalism was clearly lacking. When I reached out with genuine interest, their response was a thumbs-up emoji. That’s not how you conduct business, especially when discussing high-value vehicles. They offered $17,000 for an AMG… Read more
Mercedes, despite trade-in values ranging from $24,000 to $29,000 and market sale prices between $32,000 and $34,000. That’s not just low—it’s insulting.
I regret wasting my time and energy contacting them. If you're looking for a dealership that values your time, treats you with respect, and offers fair pricing, I suggest looking elsewhere.
Order spare part for vw transporter, they order the wrong part, then said no returns, out of pocket $1000 , would not trust them to order, a part for a tonka toy. They are very rude and arrogant, ,they are not human. So i call [Name Removed] as you requested, he said he will look into in. Never got a reply back. As I said they made the mistake,. They are a company of nonsense and are arrogant to talk to, If you need a part DON'T pay upfront
I purchased a new Alfa Romeo Giulietta from Southern Classic Cars in Wollongong on 3 July, 2018. This was the 3rd new Alfa Romeo that I had purchased over 29 years. Within a month of the 3rd scheduled timing belt change (schedule = every 60,000km) by the dealership, my car started to use oil and not behave as normal. I contacted the dealer to be… Read more
told that their one (only) Alfa Romeo technician had broken his leg and there would not be an available appointment for 3 months. I was forced to take my car to a reputable mechanic near my workplace. This business had been trading for over 30 years. Within 12 months the 3rd cylinder had lost compression and again the dealership could not help. On this occasion their one Alfa Romeo technician was booked out for the next 3 weeks after which he was heading off to Europe. No available appointments for 3 months. I took the Giulietta to local Alfa specialist who quoted me $12,000 engine rebuild. I sold off the Alfa for parts and I now drive a very well Japanese built Mazda. I contacted Stellantis, the importer, who were not interested and I emailed the chairman of Stellantis, [Name Removed], who did not bother to reply. Stellantis (Abarth, Chrysler, Citreon, Dodge, Fiat, Jeep, Lancia, Maserati, Opel, Peogeot) are in all sorts of trouble. I would strongly suggest that their lack of customer service and care may be why.
We recently purchased a new Volkswagen Tiguan R-line at Southern Classic Cars, and we can’t speak highly enough of the experience! From the moment we walked in and started ‘just browsing’ to finally driving off with our new vehicle, everything went smoothly, professionally, and was stress-free. Shane, the Volkswagen Salesman was incredibly… Read more
helpful. He took the time to listen to our needs and preferences offering suggestions without any pressure. He was professional, honest, and knowledgeable about the different models, features, and available options, which put us at ease and helped us make a confident decision. What truly stood out was the personal touch he added to the service. Once we had narrowed it down to the perfect car, the buying process was equally impressive. The paperwork was explained clearly, with no hidden fees or confusing terms. When it came time to pick up the car, the dealership went above and beyond. Nick and Dianne delivered our new car, it was spotless, with a full tank of gas and all the features fully explained. The delivery process was quick, yet thorough, and we felt completely ready to hit the road. Overall, this was one of the most pleasant car-buying experiences we have ever had. The team was professional, attentive, and with the added personal touch, truly made the whole process enjoyable. We highly recommend Southern Classic Cars to everyone considering buying a new car!
MG HS EV Warranty service – I purchased a MG HS EV 2022 model from Southern Classic Cars Albion Park Rail and it had an issue with the charging of the EV and I had faultless service from the salespeople to service department, highly recommended, attended to my problem with a professional and courteous attitude, thankyou
Lack of care, ignores unless theirs a chance to make money – Ignores their dealer obligations to provide warranty servicing for VW vehicles
Do not trust these people with your car! – The worst service experience I have ever had. I took my car in for a service it had done less than 20,000 kms and everything was running quite well. Drove out of the car yard when a warning alert came on. I took the car back and the service staff tried to blame the issue on me, they then took the car back and ‘fixed’ the issue. I got back in the… Read more
car and the warning light was still on (mind you this light was not on when I dropped my car off). The service consultant told me that the light would come off after 40kms (long enough for me to get out of Wollongong) after 40kms the light did not come off, I actually had to get that sorted myself.
When totalling up the parts and labour costs on my itemised receipt. Southern classic have overcharged me. However have advised as I quoted a price via email that more expensive price still stands.
After providing feedback to the service centre they ‘advised’ me not to complete any manufactures surveys and offered to provide me with a complementary service, which I have declined as I do not feel comfortable leaving my car with them.
Everyone I have encountered in this experience have been misogynistic and rude.
Very rude sales Staff – Talked to Peter to enquire about a used car over the phone, he was very rude and unprofessional, he doesn't have any manners on how to talk to a potential buyer over the phone.
Sales person not transparent and lie about car condition – What a disappointing journey. ( interstate buyer from Melbourne) I purchased a vehicle which did not match the description. They claimed it was in a mint condition instead was full of scratches. At purchase time, I was told that car was going to be delivered with a full tank, fully detailed , instead was delivered in poor conditions, half tank and… Read more
main key was damaged. ( I was not made aware of this) They ended up blaming the damages on the transport company. No resolution was given and they were extremely rude and defensive. I I never received a call back to address my concerns or recompensating me for the out of pocket in order to repair the car . I do not recommend anyone to purchase a car from Southern Classic Cars.

No interest to resolve recall problems – Dropped my car off to have some issues looked at (second time now) and have been told that these problems will cost thousands to repair, only to find out it’s recall related. Trying to pull the wool over my eyes and now it’s my problem. No honesty and they are hoping owners don’t do their research. No resolution and no interest to assist to resolve. Would not recommend.
Quality Service – Mitchell is an amazing communicator and an honest operator. Every time I have my car serviced by his team, I am driven to write a review in appreciation of such a brilliant collective effort. Thanks again!
FABULOUS SERVICE FROM START TO FINISH – I contacted SCC Wollongong NSW re a specific car they had in their yard. I was looking to downsize to my 'last car' and it was exactly what I was after. I purchased the vehicle via phone (we are in Cairns, FNQ) after receiving assurances that the car was clean, neat and tidy with no defects. Shane was extremely helpful, guiding me through the… Read more
whole process, even dropping the vehicle to the transport depot to save us a leg of the trip so that is was more easily shipped. A minor hiccup on receipt with a promise to sort, but I know he'll be true to his word. Cannot speak highly enough of his professionalism and service. A great asset to the SCC business. THANKS SHANE. N&J :)
Customer service second to non – After my brand new Tiguan had a fault that meant a long wait for a replacement part from Germany the SCC team gave me a replacement upgrade at no extra charge plus free 3 year service, thank you Dianne, Nick and Wayne.
Southern classic cars Albion Park – I dealt with Mendo G. At Albion Park and brought a new Nissan Patrol. He went above and beyond for me and my family and made things easy. Was a pleasure dealing with the team there and Judy with the aftercare for our new purchase. Didn’t matter what questions or things I asked for they exceeded my expectations and would highly recommend. Great service and easy to deal with AAA+++
Parts Department - Excellent Customer Service – I ordered a replacement wheel rim for my Fiat Ducato Motor Home, while travelling through NSW. Lindsay dealt with the enquiry quickly & efficiently. He promptly returned phone calls, advised me when the part had arrived from Melbourne & told me the closest tyre company to use to strip the old wheel rim (which had split) & replace with the new. I was completely satisfied with the courteous & professional level of customer service.
Warranty Service is hopeless – I brought a new Nissan and it has 2 rattle noises in the dash it has been back 7 times and still not fixed! I keep getting the brush off with comments like that happens when cars are mass produced. To make matters worse more often than not you ring and they don't answer the phone or you leave a message and they don't bother to return your calls. I have never been so frustrated with such poor customer service.
Absolutely shocking – Was happy with the team however the dealer principle needs a lesson in customer service, very arrogant, would not waste my time here. Very disappointed and hope that no body else experiences this type of service.
Hopeless warranty work – My A1 had faulty windscreen wipers and tail lights and once problem identified (2 weeks), had to get part in (1 week), then problems with mechanic availability (3 weeks) and then finally got it fixed (2 weeks). Hopeless liaison as to what was happening, no idea of how long things will take and would not return calls. No offer of loan car or much… Read more
of an apology until lovely new service lady, Tahalia arrived and did her best to correct everything and try and keep me happy. Reading other reviews and my experience there does appear to be a systemic problem in after sales service and warranty work and general customer management. Will not be going back!
Key left out car stolen when there for warranty – My car was stolen from Albion park dealership close to a month ago during the night and key was used that was left out on service desk and didn't get placed in lock box for the night car and key gone only had car for three weeks and it's been burnt out a total loss and now it's close to a month and no refund or compensation for their stupidity ...… Read more
if car didn't have a fault from the next morning I brought it it wouldn't of been back at car yard under warranty and car would be still in my possession ( Discussing ) they seem to think it isn't there problem .. But because they left the key out it seems to be causing a problem ... Where's the duty of care with this company southern classic group ...
PRESTIGE CARS WITHOUT PRESTIGE SERVICE – I purchased a Jaguar R Sport from this company in August 2018. I travelled from Sydney to view and purchase the vehicle. The handbooks were missing when I arrived home and I called to ask for them to be sent to me, which they were. A few days after the purchase there was a vibration noise from under the car. Upon inspection I discovered… Read more
that two screws securing the rear bumper were missing allowing the bumper, that is plastic to vibrate. I contacted the dealership to explain. I could not get in touch with the salesman and the receptionist informed me he would call back. This of course never happened, in fact despite a number of calls I have not spoken to him since my purchase. Despite seeking to speak to a manager this has never happened. I eventually spoke to a young rep at SCC. Unfortunately he turned out to be equally unreliable. Despite assuring me the missing screws would be sent they were not. In the interim I contacted Jaguar-Land Rover Australia. They informed me that my concerns about this company's after sales service had been passed to SCC and I would be hearing from the Company. This of course did not happen. Last week I was at the end of my tether and threatened to drive down to Wollongong and take them to task. Their rep gave me another excuse and assured me they screws would be in the post the next day. This, I thought, is sounding like "the cheque is in the post" and other great lie jokes. But, sure enough the screws arrived and lo and behold they are the wrong ones!
In the interim, there has been a fair amount of publicity regarding Takata air bags. An internet search by myself showed that my vehicle is subject to a recall to have the airbags replaced. Further searching revealed that it is a requirement by law that where a vehicle is subject to a safety recall at the time of sale the seller MUST inform the buyer both verbally and in writing of the outstanding recall. This did not happen. Therefore SCC have broken the law and potentially put my life and that of any front seat passenger at risk of death from an defective airbag deploying in the even of even a minor collision. My advice is DO NOT BUY FROM SOUTHERN CLASIC CARS if you expect Classic after sales service.
