How do you replace safety lid switch on sphere 3.3 kg washing machine

You will have to lift the machine out to lift the entire top shroud off the machine, starting with the screws at the back of the machine. Be careful lifting it off, because there are heaps of wires from the control panel and the safety switch can get caught. Our first machine broke a safety switch after only 18 months of use and was out its 12 months warranty. We were camped up at Mataranka Springs NT at the time and the cost of freight just to get a safety switch sent to us was the same as getting an entire new machine sent, so we decided to replace the entire machine to get a new warranty. The second machine only lasted 14 months and also out of warranty, when the control panel gave up working. We are on our third Sphere 3.3kg washing machine now and it`s 18 months old and touch wood, no problem so far. Good luck :)

We have just finished washing and have now turned off the water and power to the machine. However it keeps trying to spin. I don’t how this is possible without power. We just get this surge noise every 30 secs approx. Has anyone suffered the same issue?

I have a brand new sphere washing machine, day one 2 washes , started wash number 3 and now dead ! No faults ! You need power to show a fault and yes it is plugged in ! I’ve done all the troubleshooting and it’s dead , junk !

That is exactly what happened to ours. I pulled it apart trying to trace the problem but that didn’t help. I think it is the controller board that fails. They are rubbish.

Just had the same. Just died, no fault message no nothing. Just dead after 2 years. Did all the trouble shooting as well. But just dead. This is the second heap of junk in this van. The last one lasted 18months before it gave up the ghost.

I have one of these fitted to our StarCraft , on Spin it thumps around and makes a terrible noise, it’s our third Machine supplied by Sphere under warranty, I videoed it spinning to Sphere and they replaced it at there cost. Current machine is horrendous with out of balance and noise. Am I the ONLY one with this bad luck?, original machine was a 2.5 lasted 7 years never missed a beat, till the motor spat the dummy.

It seems the 3.5 are crap straight out the box.

My SPHERE 700-00362, 3.3.kgm mini fully automatic washing machine has a lint filter. But it does precisely nothing. A previous LEMAIR machine, had a brilliant filter that was exceptionally effective. Do I need to adjust something?

Has anyone had the F1 error code and solved the problem?

Brand new Atlantic van with obviously, a brand new Sphere 3.3kg washing machine. Manual states a 2-3.3kg wash with high water level will use about 26 litres of water. Tested it out and it used 70 litres?? Can anyone explain? If that's normal we will never use it. I have spoken with Atlantic and they have not head of it before and are making enquiries. Thought I'd ask those that have one. Regards Gerard

The 26 litres is for each cycle: wash, rinse, and final rinse--TOTAL of about 78 litres (3 x 26).

The Sphere washing mcahine in my Starcraft trips the power when it gets halfway through the spin cycle. I have tried running it with and without a load and from different power supplies. Has anyone else had this issue? if so how did you rectify it?

Glen HOLE
Glen HOLE

Wayne, sounds like either the machine has a large fault or your power breaker is under rated, you need a electrician to put a clamp test on the power lead when running to find if it is the machine or breaker. Glen

Need help. The push down start/pause button does not work. It appears as if there is nothing under the top covering. All other buttons work. Machine works well when I can get the button to connect. It appears to be a stuck down panel.
