DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. Appalling customer service actually there is NONE!! Placed order on 8/5/26 for TENS Device $400.00 plus still haven't received order & no communication after multiple phone calls & emails will be sending details to Pay Pal. cannot understand their motivation. I placed an order more than a month ago, and to date, after several friendly and less than friendly request for information on progress, have had no response, not a squeak. I suspect there is more to their shocking lack of service than meets the eye. Does your name determine weather you get your order or not? Reading all the totally negative reviews here, I am baffled by their deplorable attitude towards their customers, but something is definitely not right and totally unprecedented in my life experience. I have now decided to cut my loss and abandon my order to avoid further aggravation, but I warn prospective customers: stay well away from these people.

Sold products that weren't in stock and were very liberal with the truth about the status. When the order still hadn't shipped, I called on a Thursday to follow up, and was told the order had been processed the day before and would be shipped out the next day, all the while knowing the product was literally not there. Followed up the following Tuesday to discover they still didn't have any stock. Demanded an immediate refund.
Do not buy from this business. Their sales policy is so bad. Only 7 days to exchange an item. Will not offer refund even when the product is not as described.
It is strongly advised to refrain from purchasing from these individuals.. (spots braces) I purchased two ankle braces, but they were not delivered until four weeks after my order. Despite our repeated attempts to contact them via email and phone, we were unable to resolve the issue. This experience has left us deeply disappointed and disillusioned with their service. I purchased the DonJoy Performance Bionic Elbow Brace II from Sports Braces, carefully following their sizing guidelines. My arm measures 37cm, the upper limit for a Large (L). Within 30 minutes of delivery, I contacted Sports Braces for a return, but they outright refused refunds—even when the product was not fit for purpose. They suggested an exchange for a smaller size, but given my measurements, that wasn’t a viable solution. Despite several emails explaining the issue, they refused to reconsider.
I escalated the matter to Consumer Affairs Victoria, who advised submitting a formal demand for a refund. Only then did Sports Braces offer a partial refund, citing a "restocking fee." Thankfully, since I paid via PayPal, I was able to request a full refund through their system.
I cannot recommend this product and I’m extrememly disappointed with this company's customer service. If you're considering a purchase, beware: returns are obstructed with resistance (and in this case, an illegal refusal), even when the product fails to meet its advertised purpose.
Trying to save a little by not paying extra elsewhere for better service and peace of mind, only to regret it. I ordered an ankle brace that took four weeks to arrive—only to find it was faulty. to the female owner who said it wouldnt be delivered for another few days (still no shipping information received so they had not even processed the order).
5 days after ordering I could no longer wait due to their product being for injuries and went and bought what I needed locally, contacted them regarding returning the item (still in the box unopened) due to my inability to wait any longer and they refuse to return or refund.
Owner (male) was very rude and not at all helpful. The female owner was helpful towards my husband but only after several attempts to contact. Any kind of conflict she just deflects to her very rude husband.
Their store is about 45 mins drive from my house, I have NEVER had a response via email, and they clearly do not check received orders or ship within a reasonable time, and will not refund.
For a company selling a product thats primarily for injuries, you would think they would understand the need to operate in a timely manner.

much better to come into the store. As I am unable to drive for the next 2 months and live approximately 60-80 minutes away, this was not possible. I phoned this morning to request a return of the item (unused in original packaging) as it was not suitable (quite bulky and even more cumbersome than the one I'm currently using). I was advised by Patricia that it could not be returned as it was a hygiene item. I obviously didn't read between the lines in the Return Policy which I had read prior to purchasing. I ordinarily don't write a review of purchases unless it's positive, but this lady's total lack of empathy and dismissiveness has left me cold. Very disappointing.

different size. Called them right away and spoke with [Name Removed] (now know it's he and his wife who run the store). [Name Removed] was completely rude, smug and unhelpful. I kept asking is it ok for me to return this and swap for a different size as it doesn't fit, and all he kept saying is it needs to be in same condition. I returned it the next day. BRAND NEW, with the instructions. Their cheap 50c cardboard box was already torn up to obviously access the item so it was sent in an Australia post package. They then emailed me and said they received it and are sending it back to me because it didn't meet their criteria. BECAUSE it wasn't in their box? I offered to pay for $1 for their box (cause let's be real, it would've cost loss than this).. I emailed several times to follow up and beg to have the item swapped, I called with no answer, I emailed and kept went to manager or owner to call me back and had no response for days. I called this arvo and finally spoke with [Name Removed] wife, and she was just as rude as [Name Removed]. All she kept saying was it didn't meet their criteria. I begged her to come off script, told her to use her conscious if she had one, told her if she genuinely cared about helping people or their business reputation; she'd do the right thing and sort this out and send me the size I needed. I again kept insisting I'd pay for the box. I told her Im recording the call (which I've done and am sending to a current affair with all my evidence), I asked her does she want to sort this out like a civilised and compassionate human and just kept reiterating everything I had said in the emails.. but she'd go silent. Then just repeat her script that it didn't meet their criteria. Didn't respond to anything else. She knew she had nothing to say. These people are absolute scum. DO NOT buy from them. they just want to take ur money. Regardless of the Terms and Conditions, it is extremely unreasonable that they would not accept the return of an item, that in nature, may not be suitable or a proper fit for all. This shows that the company has no genuine concern for their customer care or satisfaction.
The fact that Sports Braces terms state "sizing error" and "not suitable" as reasons for not accepting a return, proves that they are aware that their products will not be right for some customers, but that Sports Braces are still not willing to ensure that the customer has the right product for their needs or that they are happy with their purchase.
They stated that the "Terms and Conditions do not permit a return for refund", however this is incorrect since the Terms and Conditions state that "5.4 Any refunds (at the sellers discretion) will be refunded", therefore they are proactively choosing not to accept the refund, which considering the still new condition of the item, the reason for return and return within 7 days of receiving, is again extremely unreasonable and poor business conduct.
After explaining the above to Sports Braces, they stopped responding.

requesting a refund, to no answer. A few weeks later I called again and a lovely staff member was very kind in explaining that this circumstance does not validate a warranty. This can easily promote product wastage but more so is a costly error if the brace in question is not right for the patient - this is unreasonable for an online store. Additionally , as a chronic pain patient, my partner and I spend all of our $ on trying to find answers to pain management, so the refund would have gone a long way in paying one more medical bill in a severely felt cost of living crisis.

why I wasn't notified before purchasing that it was backorder and why I didn't have a reply to my email... Apparently couldn't see my email and told Good news it's on its way. After checking tracking I could see the time hadn't been shipped and was still in the hands of Sports Braces. I told the owner who couldn't care less because no one else sells these products so he's able to be dodgy, he has a terrible business manner. After our call I got a email notification saying my order was cancelled with a refund. This business owner is full of lies and couldn't care less about customers.

Insufficient packaging, poor customer service – I received my crutches damaged and poking out of a box that had holes on all side. They were literally thrown in a small box that was too small with insufficient protection. I advised Sports Braces and was completely ignored.
If there was a no stars option I’d choose it – I bought an item in good faith that turned out to be completely different from what I thought. I tried to organise to return and refund it, and they were aggressive and rude from the outset. They would only offer a partial refund, as they were deducting not only the excessive postage but also the cost of packaging the item for sale. Appalling from start to finish. When asked under what circumstances would the seller offer a refund (less restocking fee) and was told that they don't offer refunds for "change of mind". I will be submitting complaint to ACCC.

Do not Buy – Won’t recommend SportsBraces.com.au. They sell items and refuse to honour refunds when items do not perform as requested, the item being a compression strap, made too big not true to size. Illegally advertise no refunds in contradiction of Australian consumer law. Only partially refunded once I contacted ACCC to lodge a complaint.
