Lied to by pharmacy assistant that the more expensive worming tablet was better than the generic one I chose. Same ingredient. Shameful

As already questioned by others, I join the queue asking how they can call themselves Discount Chemist???? I had always bought a brand-named prescription drug at a competitor for $7.99. Today I visited a Discount Chemist who explained they don’t have the brand but could provide a generic equivalent. I agreed. I was then presented with a price tag of $13.99! Really???

So disappointed with the customer service of the Star Discount Chemist. I will not ever buy anything from them especially the West Ryde branch.

Error in pricing – Northpark pharmacy SA 5082 - Check the prescription pricing as they are not consistent. Overcharged me and despite having previous receipt, it took 15 mins for them to identify their error and refund me.

Do Not Recommend – Not a 'Discount Chemist' at all. More expensive than many other pharmacies. Many medication mistakes made placing customers at risk.

Awesome service – I'm so grateful and lucky that star discount chemist is my local pharmacy. The advice and the service you get is wonderful. Thank you to all the friendly staff. I highly recommend Star Discount Chemist.

Star Discount Chemist Northpark – I have been coming to Star Discount Chemist ever since it replaced National Pharmacy. Everything of my Mothers was transferred over. I have always had exceptional service mainly from Sally and her team especially Leah. Sally always has time to answer any questions I have about medications and good advice from her and the other Pharmacists. Although its a much smaller shop now I can still get what I need.

Prices should be clearly shown and price tickets should not fall off shelves – We went to Star Discount Chemists Pasadena as Nature's Way Gummies were advertised on special for $11.50. We purchased a few other items. Since found out that the Gummies can be bought at Woolworths for that price all the time. fallen off and were on the floor. The discounted amount didn't show on the receipt, but 'Less Total Discounts' is subtracted at the end. National Pharmacies receipts show discount below cost of product.

Excellent Store with great customer service – The Star Chemist store at Booval Fair is conveniently located with opening hours to match. The range of products both medical and other is excellent and the staff are friendly, know their product range, give reliable advice and recognize their regular customers by name.

took my daughter and walked out of this chemist, after waiting at the counter for almost ten minutes, with nobody making an effort to serve me.

When I first walked in, there was one person being served at the counter and one person waiting on the courtesy seat, whilst being served.

I waited patiently, as I was in no rush to be seen, but after I noticed a lady being served ahead of me, I quickly became aware of what was going on.

I turned to look behind me to see where that lady had appeared from, as she was not there before me, and was shocked to see about six people waiting for service, all of whom had arrived after me.

All this time, I had been standing at the front counter with my child, for nearly ten minutes.

My last straw came when the assistant who was on duty at the time, an older lady with short hair and glasses, was standing right near me, looked directly over the top of me, and apologised to all the other customers about the wait, completely ignoring me in the process.

I stood for a further minute or so at the same place as before - the front counter - puzzled by what was going on - and still waiting for some slight acknowledgment that they knew I was there waiting for some service, or that I was at least visible to them.

Apparently not.

Maybe my daughter and I were both invisible to the staff working there today, but that level of customer service is absolutely appalling.

I was made to feel completely disregarded, humiliated, and treated (ignored), like my reasons for being there were not important enough to serve.

My experience at Star Chemist The Gap Village, is definitely reason enough for me to leave this review, write a formal complaint to the manager, and to never go back to this chemist, as I don't care to pay people to treat me in such a disrespectful and shameful manner.

Truly, the worst level of customer service I have honestly ever experienced.
