Functional as a stroller but – We bought this stroller almost 2 years ago now for our firstborn and let's just say that I'm so glad we are a babywearing family. It works to get from point A to point B, but I always end up massively sore from the effort it takes to push it. About 6 months ago, I noticed the wheels started squeaking, and it's also gotten progressively harder to… Read more

push around.

When the seat is in the upright position there is quite a lot of room to store stuff under the stroller which is a definite plus point, and I do like that it can be forward or rearward facing.

However, it is very bulky as mentioned in other reviews and only just fits into our yaris hatchback boot, and so very heavy. The locking mechanism to keep the stroller shut whilst folded gave way about 6 months ago too.

Last week one section of the buckle also broke, so it still locks in place but it does make me wonder how much longer the buckle is going to hold up for.

As a result of this stroller being so cumbersome, we have only brought it on 1 of 4 family holidays and actually quite grateful for the experience of a lousy stroller because we have become huge advocates for babywearing.

In fact, I told hubby today that it may be time to throw the stroller out as its so difficult to use, and we may not buy a replacement.

Regretful purchase – This pram is way too chunky, only just fits in the boot of my 2012 Mazda 3. Not easy to maneuver. My husband can't even push it because the wheels are too close together that he kicks his feet on them all the time. Only used for 2 months and have been looking for another one since the first week. Nothing

This was the perfect pram untill recently – The first 3-4 months it was perfect! It started to get hard to fold up & now at 7 months old it takes a lot of effort to push the foot tab to be able to fold it. Sometimes taking me minutes to fold. The wheels steer to the left with the handle in both positions & the folding visor on top of pram (to keep the sun off bub) has come loose so when i… Read more

need to use it I have to zip the bug net onto it & use that just to keep it forward. I thought I was on a winner with this purchase. Very disappointed because I love the look & it works well. It's just makes me worry how loose & poor quality it is. I use the pram 2-3 times a week so it's not like i put it through its paces every day & it's stored on the back seat of my car. I bought the pram in Canberra, I now live in QLD we no longer have a babies r us so I have to deal with the manufacturer which means they send a courier to pick the pram up & it gets sent away to be assessed so either way ill be out of pocket to replace a pram that's not even 12 months old ;( The seating options, reversal handle, easy to push Not folding, wheels steering left & sun visor loose

No Regreats - after 7 years!!! – I bought this pram in 2006 and used it for my first daughter (who has special needs) until she was nearly 4 years old, when I had my second daughter. I used it for my second daughter until she was nearly 3. Our much loved pram (which is near impossible to fault) only recently died due to a broken harness clip and a large hole in the under-baskets… Read more

mesh. To be fair though - we were living in a very hot climate (clip) and through a massive mouse plague (hole), so after 7 years I cannot complain!!! My third baby is due in May 2014 and after looking around at lots of prams I think it will be the Steelcraft Acclaim Eclipse for us again :) Reversable handle and easy folding. Hands would feel sticky on the handle in really hot weather.

not the best – I feel that this stroller is just OK, the pram that I have has poor quality stitching, the wheels have a mind of their own if you need to reverse the pram they tend to push outwards. Not good if pushing on a slight angle either. The basket has is very small and when seat is reclined back you can hardly fit anything in it. poor quality, wonky wheels, small basket

Great concept, not so sure on robustness – We looked at many prams and were attracted to the features of the Acclaim Eclipse, particularly liked the reversible handle, single step fold (no need to remove seat for folding), ease of changing recline angle, and the colour. However, after 4 months of use, it is already showing signs of wear; the edges of the seat are fraying, and the rear… Read more

storage pocket (not basket) is tearing away. Also, the wheels do not track well in either direction, leading to the pram 'crabbing' along going forwards in either direction and rearmost wheels binding up when reversing. Ease of folding, reversible, seat recline mechanism Poor quality fabrics and manufacturing, lack of straight line stability, difficult to wheel backwards.

I love this pram! – I did a lot of research when I became pregnant trying to find the 'perfect pram'. Whilst I don't believe there is a 'perfect pram', this one comes pretty close for me! My bubba is now 4 months old and this pram is still going as strong as day one. My husband and I are both tall (I'm 178 cm) and I have not had any issues with handle height or… Read more

kicking the wheels whilst walking. It's very sturdy, great brakes, very very easy to manoeuvre (I’ve even taken it into Dusk and didn't have any issues), I love the reversible handle, the ability to use it as a travel system was amazing when I didn't want to wake her and the storage basket is large enough for all my items. It's great for all weather conditions, there is a mosquito net included, a clear plastic rain cover and a weather cover/boot that fits over the end of the pram to protect your little one. In hotter climates or in Summer, you can zip off some of the covering, revealing netting, allowing airflow for your little one. Also, all four wheels can be locked or can move independently (swivel wheels). I have the front two unlocked and the back two locked, which appears to work the best. If you swap the handle over, just remember to then fix the wheels :) It's easy to fold, doesn't take up too much boot space (you can even take the wheels off for more room, it’s really easy) and is reasonably light too. Best of all, it's really reasonably priced! Great for all heights, very sturdy, great breaks, very easy to manoeuvre, reversible handle, ability to use as a travel system, all weather pram, swivel wheels. The Price!! The wheels can sometimes lock up when going in reverse (how often do you walk backwards though?!)

Ok stroller – Its a good stroller. But i found as the child grows up by the age of 8 months n want to sit up itdoes not provide proper back support as its back does not sit straight. But if the child sleeps in it than its like a little bed to carry arround, as u can lay the back down n carry it arround while child is happily sleeping. Price, and good for new born Not suitable for a growing child

This pram has three recline positions, including a 45 degree position. Are you sure you have sat it up far enough?

Great pram! – Absolutely love this pram. We used this pram with my son and so glad we purchased it! Really love the reverse handle. My son would cry if he could not see me when I was pushing the pram, so the reverse handle is really handy. This way you can always keep an eye on them, keep their face out of the sun/rain, away from people etc. The pram is also… Read more

love this pram! – We bought this pram earlier this year and love it! we had a safe n sound unity capsule that we were using so it was a must that the pram would fit this capsule so the eclipse acclaim was perfect. very easy to fold and unfold, easy to steer, all 4 wheels can be locked or move independently. reversibleable handle so you can see bubs or they can see… Read more
