Going back to my Brita – Either I have, for the last couple of years, managed to buy defective filters or else they are useless. They barely last three weeks, let alone three months! My water is not particularly dirty, nor is it particularly particle-free, but even with cleaning the filter, the flow is SO slow that leaving it overnight doesn't even empty the 5L top tank. At $20+ per filter - what a waste of money - let alone the $100 the unit cost initially! My old Brita is MUCH faster and more reliable, and the water looks and tastes the same.

Excellent – Beats the old 'Brita' I used to own hands down.I have had no problems at all with this wonderful water filter. Great to look at, great tasting clean water and avail in 2 sizes. I have the 6 litre. I love the shape and the shiny stainless steel body. The price of the replacement filters is very reasonable considering that they last 6 months. Filters/candles are available from Bunnings stores. The water tastes very clean and fresh. I like the glass lid so that you can see when the water is getting low and re-fill it. You need to have it right on the edge of the bench etc to get the filtered water out into a bottle for the fridge or even for a glass as the tap is very low down. I worry it may tip off the edge. Hasn't yet though.I've had mine 3 years. now.
