and underpaid the first rental payment after my lease was renewed with an (expected and reasonable) rent increase!! I didn’t even realise I had underpaid, until Sarah politely and kindly emailed me to let me know, asking me to adjust it as soon as possible.

Sarah and SDRE are so easy to work with for rent inspections, lease renewals, rent payments, and general communication. Communication is efficient, rent inspections aren’t stressful and we have a great working relationship.

I would imagine many landlords would be happy with SDRE too, given a recent experience. There was some damage to my apartment that was due to another apartment’s actions and it became clear pretty quickly that it wouldn’t be solved quietly by the other apartment. Immediately, Sarah wanted to keep me out of the picture so the other apartment owners wouldn’t just contact me, which they had initiated at first. When the other apartment owners came to check the damage in my apartment, Sarah arrived early so I could shut myself in my room and they wouldn’t know I was there. I could hear the whole conversation though and even I became really annoyed at how much they were arguing about what damage was really their fault. However, Sarah remained calm and polite and didn’t engage in their argument - she simply continued to reiterate their obligations to repair it to its original condition over and over, whilst providing the photographic proof. She kept her calm much better than I did!

The repairs were made at no cost to my landlords, and Sarah followed it right through to the end to ensure the apartment was returned to its original condition - down to bringing the tradies back out to replace a tiny 30cm cupboard door they missed in the repairs (that was still the same colour, just different materials to the new cupboards).

I’ve worked with a few real estate companies over the last few years, and SDRE is absolutely high on the list for companies I’d recommend to others!

Total scam – A total scam they running in the face of a real estate agency. This woman called [Name Removed] was a really nasty person. End of the lease I hired professional cleaners spent around 700 dollars for the vacate cleaning . But still she took my whole bond which was 1900 saying there is more cleaning to be done and repairs but never showed my any… Read more

receipts or photos even though I asked for them. So my advice is stay away from them they’d make your stay miserable with no doubt

An absolute nightmare to deal with - avoid at all costs – One of the rudest & most condescending agents. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. try to speak he kept interrupting me, even after I had advised him to not interrupt me continually.

He then said "well you can just rip the contract up.

And as were leaving he said to my mother "and you can shut the door behind you" I have never ever met people who are so, so rude. Both [Name Removed] and [Name Removed].

I'm about to make a complaint to the ombudsman and I think anyone these ho has dealt with these charlatans as well, should also do the same.

I had already paid my bond and deposit ($15650) and as due to move in this Friday, I had brought in the lease papers which I had signed.

When I got home, I then got email from [Name Removed] stating she had spoken to the owner of the property that morning and she was revoking my lease. 2 days before I was supposed to be moving in.. So now I have days to find somewhere else to live.

And all this after us asking for 10-15 minutes to measure the living room to make sure my couch will fit.. We were also told by [Name Removed] "well don't you bring a tape measure to all the properties you view" as he smirked about the situation.

They do not deserve to be in business, if anyone would like to hear about their disgusting behavior - feel free to leave me a comment and I'm happy to even call you to discuss the issue.

Honestly the best company I've ever been with – Sarah Skinner is the best property manager I have ever had. Always did what she could for me and was always happy to hear me out. Wish I still had her!

leave it, I have to pay until my lease ends (one month extra payment as she made an error). The first conversation was 'my letter does not hold the ground in the court' from her side. She was even prepared that if I take SDRE to the court, she has it all covered and can make me pay the rent for her mistake. She THREATENs her CUSTOMERS using such terms. Very unprofessional. There were other small but unaccomodating instances in the past too; let us leave out the details.

I am happy to talk to the property managers and write the follow-up notes on these comments. They know my phone number and where I live. Follow up in February 2019: After I cancelled the initial rental applications and processing; I struggled to find a matching house and in the given time frame. All the houses that I liked and locations that were suitable for me were gone. It was also peak time for Uni rentals. The house that was available to move out was 8 days after my contract ends. So, I desperately needed some solution such as an extension of moving out date by about two weeks. Prior to confirming the new lease, I spoke to the main person [ Name will be removed during the review] and requested if he can assist me with that situation. He has been kind to approve for two weeks' extension. I am very thankful to him. No grudges held anymore; also changing the start ratings after this experience. Thanks.

Great service! – I bought my property from SDRE and now rent my property through SDRE. I have always received great service and have found them to be very honest in all communications. They make having a rental property easy. I also appreciate how honest they are about the market conditions, I trust what they tell me.

Terrible Experience with SDRE – Very unprofessional. Always ready to harass you after you have moved in. After you move out they want the house to be new, even when it was in really bad condition when you moved in.

Our vacancies are minimal and in almost all cases our tenants extend their original leases indicating that they too are receiving good service. this is probably the reason your property hasn't rented yet. We loved the house, but want nothing to do with the agent. We've lived in the same area for many years, renting through a number of different agents, but never struck one so rude.

with his arrogant, pigheaded and unethical manner. He should not be allowed to practice real estate and should do the residents in the area a favour by shutting up shop and fleeing the country.

Our property was recently broken into and I was confronted by an intruder in our living room (which was later discovered as being a convicted felon). As the man had claimed to have entered with a key, I naturally was concerned for my immediate safety when he came back for a second time trying to get through the back door while I was still home.

When contacting the real estate to fill them in on the turn of events, Steven began to aggressively defend himself and his joke of an agency, saying it wasn't his fault and in no way were they to blame, without even asking if I was ok. As I proceeded to tell him I wasn't pointing blame, I was simply concerned for my own safety, seeing as though the robber was rummaging through our belongings for near on two hours (later discovered revisiting the surveillance footage).. Steven hung up on me!!! I was speechless. To be treated like that after such a scary ordeal is beyond excusable!!

Awful service – If you're looking to rent out your property don't even give this agent a glance definitely not worth it. The man in charge is full of himself thinking he is above all. Completely dissatisfied with the way he treated potential tenants who are keen on the property only to be driven away by his pride. I've dealt with enough real estate agents to know that a little humility goes a long way.

[name removed] himself is unprofessional, rude and very unfriendly he goes about his business as if you are not important and that your questions do not mean anything. I have took their mistakes to reiwa many times. If you are considering renting with this man then please think again for your own well being. This is the most unprofessional and unreliable real estate agency out there.
