looks a bit cheap and nasty but actually works okay – This product is not the most aestetically pleasing item i have ever purchased, but it actually works quite well. It takes about twenty five minutes to heat up to maximum temperature, but after that it does what it is supposed to do (straighten hair) I think the finish of the product could have been better, but other than that, i am satisfied with how it works. For $100.00 it is certainly the bargain basement of hair straighteners.

Complete fake! Beware! – I received my "StraightFix" yesterday and was horrified to see the product packaging and label as "Beauty Star". It looks cheap and I can't believe that I spent almost $100AUD on this product. DON'T BUY!

Very good – It's safe for the hair. Easy to use. It takes about 30 minutes to straight the long hair. It heats up fast enough. Provides with the long lasting result actually.

Rip off, broken, no customer support – Like the other reviews say, this product is a huge waste of money. Literally search on ebay for a hair straightening brush, find the cheapest item there, and this is the product you will be receiving for a crazy $75 USD. I've had it for just over 6 months, used maybe once every 2 or 3 weeks, and now it's dead. Some little part came loose inside… Read more

and started rattling around, it caused something to short out, and the whole thing died whilst making lots of sparking and static noises. These things are cheap and crappy electrical fire hazards, please buy elsewhere. Better to buy from an Australian retailer, because at least then you're covered by consumer law. All of my emails and messages to them are being ignored, and conveniently they don't let you pay via PayPal so you can't go through them to get your money back.

Worked for a month, now broken! Straightfix is ignoring my emails - overpriced rubbish available onl – Yes their Facebook marketing is slick - but unfortunately the product does not do the same for your hair! Fooled by positive reviews I forked out around $100AUD and purchased one. Certainly not impressed when I received a product that was a different brand straight from China. It worked just okay for a month, then wouldn't switch on. When I… Read more

say it worked, I mean it was hot and straightened some of my hair but never got close to straightening iron results. I used it to go over my ironed locks the next day with mixed success.

When it broke I contacted the company who promised to send a replacement within days. That was three months ago. Now they are ignoring my emails altogether. I found the exact same product online for $20AUD with free shipping.

This product is a ripoff and to add insult to injury, if you have a problem with it they will not help.

Buyer beware!

Works well! – I ordered this after seeing an advertisement on Facebook. I read some reviews and was pretty skeptical but decided to chance it and place an order. It arrived in 5 days and after using it just once I am pretty impressed. It heats up fast and gets my hair straight after just 1-2 passes. I would definitely recommend it!

SCAM – I bought a hair straightening brush for $20 and it worked ok but I wanted to try to the Straightfix brush to see if it worked better given the higher price point. However when I got the product I was shocked to see it was the exact same product even packaging. All they do is resell the same products from other companiea under their own "brand" for… Read more

a much higher price. DO NOT PURCHASE - just search for these online and you'll see they look the same. It's because they are the same!

Fake or bad quality? – I just received my brush yesterday, the funny thing is the brand that printed-out on product is different, it's suppose Straightfix but the one that I got is Beauty Star and the price that stated in the invoice is only $10, the box and the manual also from beauty star, made in China and also send it from there. The brush is not as simple and… Read more

easy as I saw on youtube or straighfix official web, need much more effort to do it. Better use regular flat iron hair straightener.

I send an email to Straightfix about the product details and my concern maybe it's an imitated product but then they replied and confirmed it is their product.

So I think now I can't do anything since no return/refund policy. Should've check the reviews, do some research before buy anything from Straightfix.

Fake product – They are selling this as a product called Straightfix at a value of $69 US. Do not buy from Straightfix! They are fraudulent. If you want it, buy it online for $6.

Not what I was expecting – When I saw the ad for Straightfix on Facebook, I was excited to find a brush that worked as a straightener. I looked at reviews on Google. They all seemed positive, so I decided to buy it. I decided to buy their more expensive straightener, and it took about a week to get here. First thing I noticed is that the invoice on the package was from a… Read more

company in China, and the description of the product on the invoice said "Home Use Comb Material" with a unit value of $10. The price listed on their website is $119, so I was a little surprised about the value on the invoice. When I opened the package, I was also surprised to find a very generic box with the label, "2 in 1 PTC Heating." I thought the brand name was Straightfix, so I was surprised when I didn't see it on the box. I decided to type in "2 in 1 PTC Heating" into Google, and I found the exact same brush on Amazon, but for $28.88 instead of $119. I realized that earlier when I was looking at reviews I didn't price compare like a dummy. So of course I check to see what the return policy is for this company and they state that "due to hygienic reasons" they don't offer refunds. Like, at all. So now I realize how stupid I was to just read reviews on Facebook and their website. I was caught up in the excitement of having easily attainable straight hair. I could have bought the straightener for a lot cheaper. What an expensive lesson to learn.

On the quality of the straightener itself, it was okay, but I had to go over my hair again with my regular straightener to get a really straight look. I have a short bob, so getting the back parts was kind of hard.

Works well but doesn't replace my GHD – I have wavy and quite unruly hair. If I leave it to dry after its washed without any styling, it goes boofy. I would usually need to blowdry my hair and then maybe use a GHD afterwards if I want it super straight. I bought the Straightfix after reading all the amazing reviews. Below are what I feel are the pro's and con's of the product in… Read more

relation to my experience.

Pros:

- Straightens hair quickly

- Heats to a high temp of 230*

- Easy to use

- Doesnt burn your head, can burn fingers if not careful but once you have the hang of it you can avoid any burns

- Has a swivel cord

- You can lock the temp once its set, so that you don't accidentally hit any buttons with your hands while holding the brush

- It cuts out after 1 hour of no use (though this could be better)

Cons:

- Comes with an Australian adaptor, not an Australian plug. The adaptor also feels quite dodgy, and I couldn't remove the plug from it - it was stuck inside. I need to buy a new adaptor as it won't sit well on a power board. Reading the reviews on the Facebook page it said it came with 'An Australian compatible plug' which does not clearly say 'travel adaptor' to me.

- The brush I got comes from a company called "Beauty Star" - not Straightfix! Packaging & instructions say Beauty Star.

- Doesn't straighten the bits of hair at the top of my head, i still needed to go over these with my GHD

- It doesn't stay straight for as long as it would if i'd used my GHD. My hair has more volume after using the brush vs a straightener but then eventually it will start to frizz up again (maybe after 4-5 hours)

- My hair feels a little dry after using it (have used it approx 5 times so far). I don't use any products before straightening. I may need to invest in a new shampoo & conditioner that combats heat styling

- It doesn't beep once it has finished heating
