Sunbather Cracked Roof Tiles and Ignoring client – Sunbather contractors damaged a modern roof and cracked many tiles. We bought a house with a sunbather system only 18 months old where sunbather coordinated install of the solar PV panels. After 12 months we started experiencing roof leaks under the panels. Sunbather sent out two reps who tried to patch up the cracked tiles however the roof company advised this would not work. The two reps have since left sunbather. A plumber and the roof company have both cited the poor workmanship as the cause and since, sunbather has claimed it is with their insurance team but will not provide contact details for anyone to manage this.
Cannot recommend trusting sunbather do anything on a roof.
Professional Service – We had solar pool heating installed approximately 2 years ago. The original installation had a minor problem which the team at Sunbather Victoria (Dan, Judd and Ryan) sorted out quickly and efficiently under warranty. The integrity and professionalism of this company is second to none.

Not Fit For Australian Sun – Installed solar pool heating in 2016. By 2020 plastic fittings on the roof had become brittle and cracked and started leaking. Contacted Sunbather and they replaced a couple of them. But a year later more were leaking and part of installation was rusting. This has now caused the colorbond roof sheeting to rust. Have tried to contact Sunbather yearly to ask about their warranty period because the brochure they provided at the time of sale stated 10 years. Completed their online inquiry form and sent emails but no response. I notice now their Perth contact details are missing from the website. I cannot recommend this type of heating as it ruins your roof. It will be an almost impossible task to remove it now because of all the glue! However we will try next year and replace with a heat pump. It was a very expensive mistake. I tried to upload a 5 second video here showing the leaks but received an ‘failed to upload’ error message.
Slow warranty response (improved from pathetic) – I bought a $15,000 automatic pool cover that is supposed to open and close at the press of a button. It stopped working after less than two years on Saturday. I rang last Monday to be told I would have to pay $110 call-out fee before they would schedule a service call. If they determined that it was a warranty claim, they would consider refunding the fee. I paid it grudgingly. I was then given a call-out date of 19 January - six weeks later. In the meantime, the pool cover is locked shut so we can't use it for most of the school holidays or for our Xmas function. Not happy at all. Terrible customer service.
UPDATE ON ORIGINAL REVIEW
After I pressed them, I got a date about two weeks after my first call to them. The two staff who attended were courteous and explained the fault was due to corroded brackets that were not suitable for immersion under water and they replaced them and tried to fix a leak that had developed due to the installation of the stainless steel shaft into the wall of the wet pool pit that causes water to drip into the dry pit and leaves a terrible smell and causes mould to form. This was no successful but at least they tried. I will need to get someone in to seal the leak as they didn't have the right sealant with them.
I still have not seen my $110 even though the fault was clearly due to a defect in the original product.
