Great, value for money coffee! – Worked well for over 18 months before I sold it and upgraded to the EM8910. Loved it, as I do my EM8910 Intuitive model. I had no trouble with it and highly recommend it for its ease of use and great results. Fabulous coffee, great value, clever machine!

Bad – When it is working this is a great machine, however the design is flawed and you can hear the internal stress it places on itself at startup (when ours has broken itself twice). to get it to fill a whole cup in one hit. Everything goes in and out from the front so you can put stuff beside it on the bench top. Makes a great coffee. Reliability - it has none. 1st machine was DOA and returned. 2nd machine self destructed the brewing unit after 9 months (fixed under warranty), 11 months later the pump had to be replaced (our cost) and now (4 months later) it won't turn on and is back in for repair. Only accepts Sunbeam cleaning products which are quite pricey.

hubby and I clean the insides together following the manuals step-by-step instructions. The tablets only need to be used twice a year so ok to buy. I got them off of bay!Like I said sounds like I am lucky but when it does finally die I would not buy another one(Sunbeam) after reading these reviews. So thanks guys for your feedback. Saves money at the shops for my coffee. I used to drink up tp 13 cups a day.

recommend a sunbeam coffee machine ever again. It broke at around 20 months, then when I rang the sunbeam rep, she said we were lucky, they usually only last 12 months. Lucky?? didn't give us much confidence. The only people they recommended us to get it repaired at were terrible. They lost a part whilst it was being repaired, then blamed us for it and tried to make us pay for it. The repair took months, then once we got it back, it broke again and we haven't even bothered getting it fixed. It was way too traumatic.

Terrible – Would not buy another sunbeam product. Sunbeam needs to pick up its act when it comes to service. Someone that knows what they are doing and a proper job is required. Will be buying another but not Sunbeam. Had mine since 2004. Made 6 coffees, decided to go on strike. Took it in to be repaired. came back same problem. The guy was honest, he could not fix it.

That says a lot for the sunbeam service.

An awful lot of money to pay for a machine that seems to get more complaints than service.

Great when it was working for a couple of months disaster when no one wants to know to repair. It doesn't last. No one wants to or knows how to repair. Had it repaired twice, came back and nothing. Same problem today. It boils water makes a few noises/lights come on, and nothing.

Terrible – Absolute waste of money DO NOT BUY SUNBEAM ESPRESSO MACHINE CHEAP PLASTIC BREW UNIT A PERFECT EXAMPLE OF A MACHINE MADE IN CHINA. Bring back quality Sunbeam or you might as well close your doors!!! Biggest pile of rubbish you could buy,brew unit replaced seals replaced constantly stopping and having to be pulled apart and cleaned!

get the word out there. DON"T EVER BUY SUNBEAM!!!! Made a good coffee when it worked. Reliability! It has none. Even though it is four years old it hasn't been used very much. For example the descale function has never come on. This may give you an idea how few coffees I've been able to make.

unit loosing it's "C" clip I wrote to Sunbeam to complain. I was told I was using too finer grind setting which caused excessive vibration. I was also told too remove the brew unit every two days for cleaning or expect trouble. They did supply a new brew unit to keep me quiet. I tried all they told me & for six months all went well... until yesterday when after a clean & scale, the machine self destructed when switched on. Nasty grinding & broken parts falling into the grinds tray. Now at least 2 weeks to repair with no guarrantee the extended warranty will pay for it.

worth even the $699 you pay it will be problem after problem i have had 2 brew units repaced they took 2 weeks each to come, the water light comes on with the water full, the brew unit clip falls off, I have found pieces of plastic in the coffee tray, you really know your dealing with a bad product and service when you call the call centre (I WILL LEAVE YOU TO CALL THEM AND YOU WILL KNOW WHAT I MEAN) good luck

noisy and unreliable broken down five times in 3 year wiht very little usage

and attractive, very high tech yet not complicated to opperate, milk frother worked really well and swivelled to the side so it was much easier to clean than most. Has broken down three times, although the repairs haven't been expensive, it's a pain and shouldn't happen.

Terrible – So far sunbeam have not been helpfull with any of my inquiries and infact the response for trouble shooting is extreamly poor Just did the clean process and not broken yet again. it is grinding the coffee straight into the waste container. I hate this machine and will never buy or recommend Sunbeam products again. This is not the first time I have had trouble with a sunbeam product. when it works coffee is good EVERYTHING!!!!! I am highly considering taking sunbeam to small claims court over this product.
