Sunbeam GB5100

Had the BBQ for 10 years now – We only.used the bbq a few times then left it in the carport until now as we ate renting and the house has an old electric stove that is power Hungary. I now use the bbq to do all the cooking and boil the kettle. Being open to the weather it now looks not too flash but it still works like a dream. Could do with a smaller ring burner.

Terrible experience from their customer service – I had been completely happy with my Sunbeam BBQ, cooked great and stood up to the elements until it dies at X'mas 2016. Last year the electronic ignition module packed it in so I contacted sunbeam and was told to speak to their local service agent Sunshine Coast Coffee Machines at Buderim. I bought a new one however it only lasted 11 months, i contacted the agent and was told the warranty is only 3 months, no where on the invoice or packaging does it state that nor was I told when purchasing it. I was told if i wanted another i would have to pay for one. I then called Sunbeam customer service and was told they offer NO WARRANTY on their spare/replacement parts and to speak to their agent. So now i learn there are no more parts available so by $600 BBQ is now scrap metal and I will have to pay someone to collect and take it to the dump.... what a great Christmas present, Thank you Sunbeam and their agent Sunshine Coast Coffee Machines at Buderim. I will go and buy a Weber, they have a great warranty.

Expensive but great – Its been 3 yrs since i last bought this unit. i must say it's great, it still look good, although i did buy the original cover for it, expensive !, on my second original cover as it does break down in the sun/weather over time Still starts first time, easy to clean the external i replaced original drip tray with Bigger throw away ones, else you'll have oil running down which ever corner the BBQ is lowest on the floor when overflow

Nothing to complain, wash it down a few times and it still starts fine.

Excellent – As a family we really enjoy BBQ's so this product gets very well used. It is the most we've ever spent on a BBQ so we are hoping that the money will pay off and this BBQ will last. A pretty good product from well known and trusted brand Sunbeam. The BBQ is pretty good looking but of course with it being stainless steel you can see everything on it (ie fingers, grease and oil etc). Pretty expensive compared to other products on the market. YOu have to make sure you are a really BBQ family before purchasing this one.

Terrible – Looked great, perfect size, but the quality of materials used to build it are shocking. After less than a year is looking really tired and I am trying to replace the rusty grill plates - only problem - they are a non standard size - no replacements available!! I don't like to say it - but avoid this one. There are much better bbq's around at this price. right size, looks good (at first), easy to use Grills rusted within 8 weeks - absolutely terrible despite good / mormal maintenance / cleaning

exterior has deteriorated - stainless steel areas are good - the side plates though look pretty ordinary after 8 months.
