I upgraded from the Sunbeam Barista Max after using it for five years. Over time, the group head started to leak, which seems consistent with other reviews I’d read before replacing it. That said, I was genuinely happy with that machine. The coffee was always good, and getting five years out of it felt reasonable. Because of that positive… Read more ·  1

experience, I decided to stick with Sunbeam for my upgrade, and I’m really glad I did. The improvements are noticeable straight away. The sunbeam origins classic grinder is much faster, there’s far less mess, and the auto grind setting makes everything more convenient.

Overall, I was already satisfied with my previous machine, but this upgrade has definitely been worth it.

The Sunbeam Origins Classic EMM5500 has been a pleasant surprise. The coffee quality is excellent, with a smooth, well-rounded flavour, and it’s been consistently reliable from cup to cup. The temperature is just right - hot enough to enjoy immediately without being harsh or burnt. It’s easy to use, easy to clean, and fits nicely into a simple morning routine. A solid choice for anyone who wants good, dependable coffee at home. Show details ·  1

I’m a daily coffee drinker who easily goes through 2-3 cups during a workday. When I’m in the office, it’s no problem since we have a coffee machine there. But when I’m working from home, running out for coffee just takes too much time, and pod coffee or instant coffee doesn't satisfy the same craving. I've recently had the opportunity to test… Read more ·  1

out the Sunbeam Origins Classic, and I'm super impressed the quality and ease of use. Not only does it look great, but the auto-dosing grinder and simple controls make it a dream to use. I pretty much exclusively drink black coffee, and with the Sunbeam Origins Classic, its as easy as tapping twice for the auto-dosed grind, tapping the double-shot button and then adding water. I've also noticed that the heat up time is incredibly quick - by the time the beans are grinded and tamped, the shot is ready to be pulled.

As someone who drinks multiple coffees per day, and living in an area saturated with amazing cafes, I can be quite fussy about the taste and quality of my daily coffee! Recently, I was fortunate enough to be able to try a brand new coffee machine - the New Sunbeam Origins Classic Espresso Machine - and I have loved every second of it! This… Read more ·  1

machine was an upgrade from our old, smaller coffee machine, and I have really enjoyed every aspect of this new machine so far.

A few things I love about this coffee machine: - The design is very modern, and looks really nice compared to my old smaller stainless-steel machine. It is easy to clean, and the gloss black doesn’t look or feel cheap. - The in-built conical burr coffee grinder is really easy to adjust, and grinds coffee beans evenly. The ‘Tap & Go’ auto dosing works well, and accurately doses each time (I have weighed the ground coffee multiple times, with all doses being consistent). - The large group-head pours a very even shot across two cups, and the used coffee grinds are very easy to knock out. - Heat up time is relatively short - I’ve found it is ready in less than a minute, which is just enough time to grab the coffee cups and grind the coffee. - The steam volume is perfect, and gradually heats the milk so you can spend time perfecting the texturing for perfect froth. - The machine is easy to use for beginners, allowing anyone to make a solid cup of coffee - but it is also perfect for those looking to experiment or build their skills further. The instruction manual was really helpful, with lots of extra tips and tricks to take your coffee skills further.

The only thing I would improve is the coffee tamp, which is plastic and feels a bit light weight - however, this is very minor, and doesn’t impact the quality of the coffees I’ve made.

Overall, I have loved my experience with this machine so far, and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quality home coffee machine. In the past week, I’ve already recommended by parents grab the same machine! It is flexible enough that beginners will make a great coffee, while also catering to people looking to experiment or extend their skills with different beans & grinds. Definitely consider this great coffee machine!

I’ve been using a smaller espresso machine for a while now, making 1-2 coffees a day, but I finally decided to step it up with the Sunbeam Origins Classic—and I have to say, this thing makes life so much easier. The tap and go grinder has an auto dose feature, grinding the perfect amount every time, so I'm getting much more consistent pours and… Read more ·  1

flavours. Plus, the anti-static tech actually works—no more coffee grounds all over the bench, which is a huge win!

The preset single and double shot options make pulling a perfect espresso ridiculously easy, but I love that I can also go manual if I feel like tweaking things. I personally drink black coffee, so can usually taste pretty quickly if somethings too bitter or weak – but so far every cups come out deeply rich and full of flavour. If you're a flat white drinker, I've tried the steam wand when having guests over, it's easy to use and gets super silky milk too.

Also, I really love the effortless clean and descale button. No fuss, no deep cleaning sessions. If you’re looking to upgrade to cafe quality at home and keep honing your barista skills I'd definitely consider the Sunbeam Origins Classic!

I’ve been wanting a proper coffee experience at home, and Sunbeam Origins Classic Espresso has been perfect for that! I’ve used a manual espresso machine before at work, but this one makes things so much easier while still letting me play around and improve my barista skills. The built-in grinder is a game-changer, it gives me the exact amount of… Read more ·  1

coffee I need, no mess, no guessing. I can choose between one or two shots or go fully manual if I feel like experimenting. The milk frother took me a couple of tries, but now my lattes are so creamy and smooth just like a café!

Cleaning is super easy with the one-button system, which means I actually keep up with it (because who wants to deal with a high-maintenance machine?). It also looks sleek, compact and goes well in my kitchen aesthetic, which is a nice bonus.

Honestly, I love this machine. It’s easy, fun, and makes a great cup every morning at my convenience!

I’ve been using the Sunbeam Origins Classic Espresso Machine (EMM5500BK) for a little while now, and it’s quickly become a game-changer in my morning routine! The sleek black design looks great on my kitchen bench, and it’s surprisingly easy to use. I love how smooth and creamy the milk turns out—fresh milk definitely works best. bit of practice to get the grind and tamp just right, but once you do, it consistently delivers a great cup of coffee.

One feature I really appreciate is the cleaning alert button—it flashes to remind you when it’s time to run a cleaning cycle, which makes maintenance super easy. If you're after a solid home espresso machine that won’t break the bank, this one’s a winner!

I think the Origins Classic is a simple yet stylish coffee machine. I made the jump from pod coffee as I do enjoy real coffee extraction and frothing my milk. This machine has such a nice colour and square design to it, and is very compact with a smaller drip tray and water basket (which is 1.8L). It also has a built-in grinder which saves space… Read more ·  1

for me, and the grinder does auto doses so it is very easy to get the coffee amount right. A nice to have is the commercial size group head as it apparently gives maximum coffee flavour which I didn't see other machines for the same price have.

I do find the machine a little light-weight and I tend to have to hold it as I insert the group handle. Surprisingly, there isn't much mess when grinding beans. It could be the shape and it also has anti-static grinder technology. I did watch the product video which was helpful since the grinder settings can be tricky to get. The reflective back is plastic so it is not as premium as other machines, but it is very easy to clean with a wet wipe and paper towel and back to brand new!

It really is one of the nicest designs on the market for the price point, almost retro style with the dials but very modern and quiet, without confusing buttons like on other machines. There is a cleaning button too which flashes which is good for keeping machine clean. I am happy with the performance and it is user-friendly for me and my morning coffees.

i've been meaning to replace my trusty mini barista for a while now, and the Origins Classic Espresso Machine is an upgrade for sure! Looking for a cafe quality machine with an inbuilt grinder, and also to steam milk quickly this was a no brainer. It did take a while for me to adjust the grinder for the perfect espresso shot, but now that this is… Read more ·  1

Sunbeam Origins Classic Espresso Machine (EMM5500BK) I got the new Origins Classic espresso machine and I'm really impressed with it. If you love fresh coffee but hate the hassle of a messy machine, this one is great. I noticed a big difference compared to my old setup. The built-in grinder is my favourite feature. grinder, which was pretty messy, but this one has an easy tap-and-go system which grinds beans directly into the group head. Plus, the anti-static tech is fantastic - hardly any mess on my counter. And the conical burr grinder gives a better, more consistent grind.

The auto-dose is another highlight. It measures the perfect amount every time so there's no wasted beans or guesswork.

Cleaning is easy too with a one-button system. You just press and it cleans itself which keeps the quality consistent and coffee tasting great.

Overall, it's a solid, well-designed machine that makes a great cup of coffee. I am really happy with it.

The new model is great! I love you that don’t need to manually secure the holder for the ground coffee beans—just tap it down. It’s automatic. Plus there is a setting for the heat of the milk. Show details ·  1

As a coffee lover, I am in love with the machine! Honestly, no coffee shop can beat the coffee we make at home :D It comes with everything you need to start using it, so as soon as we got it at home we could use it straight away. or two shots of coffee accordingly. The machine makes the most smooth milk foam, my coffee is soooo creamy! Seriously, I just love it. I also love the design, black and discreet. Tips I've learned in the first couple of days: 1. I didn't read the instructions to set it up as it's quite simple, so I got a bit lost to understand how to use the grinder: all you have to do is to fit in the handle/portafilter under the grinder and push it down once or twice (depending on if you will do one or two shorts of coffee). 2. The guide says to setup the grinder at number 15 - and it worked perfectly! 3. Allow a few seconds for the steam wand to heat up before using it. Perfect Cappuccino: one push for a shot and the ''one mug'' button is the perfect amount for my coffee. I first do my milk, and then I do the shot. Perfect Long Black: we first put the hot water in the mug from the machine (that also stops automatically for the right quantity), and then two pushes for two shots and the ''two mugs'' button to put the coffee on top of the hot water - perfect LB! Think we will stick with the machine for a long time :) We love it!
