This has replaced my Sunbeam Barista Max, this is an extremely simple machine to use, it makes a beautiful coffee without all the bells and whistles. We use grind #18 on the dial. I do find the milk wand to be quite loud so I use a separate milk brother from Aldi. This machine for $549 is definitely a winner. Show details

Brought this from Myers in November 2023, make 8 + coffees a day every day and it's still like new, never had any problems. Highley recommend sunbeam coffee machines. Show details ·  1

Although this machine (with quality beans) makes a great coffee, this is where it stops. Had for just under a year and the cleaning cycle failed to complete and errored out. Took me nearly 2 months of persistence with the support team to get a repair organised which in turn found that the device had a faulty pump seal. 1 month later, part finally… Read more

sent to repair center (part supplies take long as well).

Machine back after 3 months using fine then scheduled cleaning cycle light illuminates, and hey, fault again. Back to repairs and now new pipe required....

Sunbeam support do not communicate so I am speaking direct with repair center to get updates.

I would never buy a Sunbeam product ever again just due to their lack of customer care and response.

I recently purchased the Sunbeam Origins Espresso Coffee Machine, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. Right out of the box, it came fully assembled, with all the parts neatly packed and easily accessible—no frustrating setup required! The sleek design looks absolutely gorgeous on my kitchen bench, and I love having it on display. Learning… Read more ·  1

to use the machine was much easier than I expected. The included guide is clear and simple to follow, making the process of pulling shots and frothing milk straightforward. While it took me a few tries to perfect the milk texture, by the third attempt, I had it down. I initially thought it would be a challenge, but the intuitive design makes it surprisingly easy to get great results.

For anyone considering a coffee machine, I would highly recommend the Sunbeam Origins. It delivers fantastic coffee, is simple to use, and comes at a very reasonable price—a great investment for coffee lovers!

Once set to your liking, it makes consistently fantastic coffee – I love this machine. Initially the factory recommended settings didn’t achieve the results I wanted, so it took a bit of playing around to get the setup I wanted. There are some good YouTube videos that helped with this fine tuning. The biggest improvement in this machine from my previous one is the consistency, I love that I can reproduce my favourite coffee every day and it beats anything I can get from a cafe. Show details ·  1

An amazing coffee machine! – I got the Sunbeam Origins coffee machine about two weeks ago, and have been very satisfied with its performance so far! Very easy to set up, which is good if you're a beginner to making espresso. Compared to other home coffee machines with a built-in grinder, it's surprisingly very quiet. The dual boiler allows you to brew the espresso and… Read more ·  1

texturing the milk simultaneously, which has saved me so much time in the morning! I also much prefer the 58mm group head that comes with it, as opposed to the standard 53mm on other machines. I am also a huge fan of the stainless steel finish. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to up their coffee game!

Poor machine for the price....well, for any price – I've had several machines over the years, I know how to pour a good shot. So far after three weeks of using this machine I have not managed to pour a single good shot. I've used just about every possible combination of grind size, tamp pressure, temperature, fresh beans, weeks old beans etc with the same result each time, always bubbly crema. I… Read more

use the same beans I use with cheap sub $100 machines and they produce a nice dense crema, not bubbly at all. The machine is of a good build quality and it has many options to change grind size on the built in grinder, temperature, pour type and has both single and double walled filter baskets. No combination of these produces a good espresso shot. The image I have supplied is about the best shot I have managed on this machine with the least amount of bubbles it has produced. That was a week ago, it's poured worse shots since. Sumbeam contacted me before I published this review, they simply asked me to try all of the things I said I have already tried, as if they didn't even read the email. When I brought this to their attention they basically repeated the same spiel to me with the caveat 'if you try these you will definitely get a perfect crema'. How many times do I have to tell them I have already tried those steps to no avail? The arrogance is astounding.

Café level coffee at home – Very impressed with this manual machine which is my first foray outside of automatic pod machines. The unit is well built with simple buttons and a clean LED display, has a massive water tank, and heats up quickly when turned on. Very easy to use once you get the hang of the few steps, and coffee comes out tasting like it came from a café. Only… Read more ·  1

con is that the sides of the machine are prone to fingerprints so need a good wipe down every now and then. Really happy with this new addition to our kitchen and would recommend to all.

Looks good, tastes great! – I really love my new Origins Espresso Machine. The design of the machine itself is so sleek and it just looks great in my kitchen. I really like the convenience of the built-in grinder which saves time and counter space (its also super quiet) and the auto-dose which takes the guesswork out of things for a novice at-home barista. The quick… Read more

start instructional video just adds to the pleasant experience of setting this machine up for the first time and I would highly recommend giving it a watch.

I’m still playing around with the grind to get it just right for me but despite not perfecting this yet have been able to produce a really yummy and satisfying cup of coffee.

Looks good, tastes great and is definitely a machine I would recommend.

Very happy – I must admit, i am a pretty fussy coffee snob, and i was worried that this machine might not cut it. But short story is, the shot that it extracts is excellent. I use the Grinders beans from Woolworths and it only took 2 shots to get the settings right. There is a double tap "auto fill" setting on the grinder which i thought was a bit gimmicky at… Read more

first, but it's actually very useful - means you end up with the same amount of coffee in the basket each time. But best thing is the space you save by having machine and grinder together. One machine, one cord.

Aesthetics meets functionality. Great tasting coffee, a perfect start to the day – Firstly, on opening the box it is pleasing to see the product encased in moulded paper pulp protectors which can go in the regular household recycling, unlike polystyrene foam which needs to be dropped off at our council recycling facility or alternatively goes straight in the red bin and to landfill. Great start! Out of the box it’s an… Read more

impressive looking machine. There are some removable stickers on the front, one of which has a QR code that takes you to an instruction video. I found the video very helpful and informative, picking up some tips I might not have discovered given I don't like to read instruction manuals. The other stickers remind you to remove the red cap from the water reservoir and tell you about the awesome single tap / double tap grind function, but more on that later.

The controls and digital display are simple yet modern and sleek. There are buttons for single, double and manual shot. Grind coarseness setting is indicated and there is a counter which shows your pour time in seconds. The machine is very quick and easy to set up, you just attach the beans hopper and set your coarseness level, fill the water reservoir and prime by running hot water through the group head a few times. Then you’re all set and ready to be a Barista Mister or Sister!

I really love the built in grinder. My previous machine had a separate grinder which not only took up additional bench space but also created a lot of mess. Any stray grounds here end up in the waste tray not on the kitchen bench, which pleases my wife who is not a coffee drinker. The coarseness level is set by turning the hopper, setting 15 was recommended in the instruction video as a starting point and that seems to be about right for the beans I am using. The grinder has a cool feature they call Tap & Go, which gives a measured dose of ground coffee – you tap once for a single shot or twice for a double shot. The measured amount was spot on.

I was able to get a decent shot on my very first attempt, even if the extraction was a little longer than the 20-30 seconds recommended in the instruction video. But after a couple of days of use and tweaking my tamp pressure I have been able to produce shots of excellent texture, with a lovely crema on top. Great flavour and zero bitterness, consistent from one cup to the next.

The steam wand works as it should, producing a nice velvety foam. And a great feature not often found in machines with built in grinders is the dual thermoblock: this allows you to brew espresso and steam milk simultaneously. Handy when you’re trying to wrangle kids / herd cats in the morning.

Overall I would definitely recommend the Sunbeam Origins Espresso Machine, it has both form and function at a reasonable price point.

Great looks..great espresso – I’ve owned, and had good experiences with two Sunbeam espresso machines in the past, but this is my first combined grinder/espresso machine - so wasn’t sure how it would stack up vs dedicated grinder, and machine. Unpacking this machine - it’s a definite evolution from previous Sunbeam machines. Slick/sharp design. Mix of solid metals, gloss black… Read more ·  1

front LED panel, and solid, tactile switches, buttons and steam dial. It’s big enough for some good visual impact on the kitchen bench, but a definite space saver with the all in one approach. Initial setup is pretty simple, just attach and fill the hopper, rinse and fill the water reservoir (good size if you don’t like refilling regularly) - but don’t forget to drop in the supplied filter cartridge - nice touch. Switch on and wait…but not for long!! It’s a thermoblock, so fast start is a given - but this is quick, ready to go almost before you can grab your favourite cup. There’s a bit of fine tuning of the grinder - but it’s effectively stepless so you can get the perfect grind after playing around with a few shots. The anti static i thought could be a bit of a gimmick, but is actually pretty neat! A few stray grounds but nothing compared to my other grinder which fires coffee grounds all over our white bench top. Tick.

To the shot - as usual, you’ll need to sacrifice a few initially to get your perfect dose/tamp/shot time combo. While a 30s shot might be your target on a more commercial machine - I’ve found that a 45/50s shot was getting me to a good place in terms of volume, crema and importantly - taste. The shot timer makes things pretty easy, and then you can program the volumes - it’s pretty good out of the box, but definitely rewards you if you like to tinker! The grouphead is a 58mm commercial size, so a good solid dose - only minor gripe is the handle feels light vs the solid build of the machine - however the engagement is great, and performance can’t be faulted - so no complaints here. It’s pretty quiet for a (dual) thermoblock - they’ve come a long way, and you get the BIG speed benefit of steaming at the same time as you brew. Steam wand is good, solid power, and will feel pretty familiar if you’ve used a Sunbeam before. You can get good, consistent texture in your milk, and can pour swans and ferns to your heart’s content!

So it looks really good, is fast, allows you to use your favourite fresh beans, is user friendly for the newbie, but rewarding for the keen beans and creates great, consistent coffee. It’s a new look for Sunbeam - a great look for Sunbeam, and definitely worthy of consideration for your next machine. It’s earned a place on my bench - Happy brewing.

Sleek Design and makes great coffee – This coffee machine was the best upgrade from my Sunbeam Barista Max. The Best Coffee Machine I've ever had!! – I've learned making coffees at home with a mini barista and now I have upgraded to the model EMM7300SS. The steamer has the right pressure so every milk, even oat or almond comes perfect. I am so grateful for… Read more ·  1

This brand new coffee machine is so stylish! – This is such a stylish coffee machine and so unique! I bought this once I learn I can actually steam my milk and brew my coffee at the same time, since coffee machines with this feature are usually more expensive. I didn't realise how convenient this feature is until I use it and compare it to the ones in my office. This machine comes with a… Read more ·  1

coffee bean grinder too so I don't have to buy a separate one. The whole design looks so cool, with a bit of vintage touches but still look sophisticated. The panel is really cool, the on/off switch looks so classic. This is such an amazing machine and it looks so perfect on my kitchen panel, the black and stainless look simply matches anything on my kitchen bench. The fresh smell of coffee in the morning is so enjoyable and I don't have to rely on my local cafe all the time. This is such a great buy.
