Sunco BBQ SC60 – I could not be more disappointed in a BBQ than the Sunco SC60 that we've just bought.told that its perfect to convert onto natural gas, I strongly recommend not to do it. I have tried 2 roasts in it and it takes twice as long to cook than our previous BBQs the Beef Eater and Grand Hall. I use our BBQ 3-4 times a week and I expect quality performance, sorry I am not paying $1300 for a BBQ and its useless.  Show details

GREAT BBQ – I have had this BBQ for 9 years and it still doesn't miss a beat. My stainless steel grill warped slightly as most stainless steel grills do since its not a good conductor of heat. But i just replaced the grill with a cast iron one for $45 from Barbecue bazaar since it is a standard size and is easy to find spare parts for. Apart from that in the… Read more

last 9 years i have never had to replace 1 single knob, gas knob or anything at all and it has lit first time every time with plenty of heat, i basically have to cook on a medium or it is too hot. With the wok i do stir fries all the time and the knob doesn't get hot at all even when i hold my hand on the knob. I think if anyone is having problems with this BBQ it is most likely user error from my 9 years of personal experience with this BBQ. I most likely have another 9 years left with it.

Poor after sales service poorly constructed bbq – I've had nothing but problems with it. The stainless steel grills have very poor and uneven distribution of heat . It is very hard to clean without injuring yourself on the sharp finishes of the stainless steel hood. The wok burner knob is close to the actual flame burner I'm too scared to touch it incase I burn myself on it after it has been… Read more

on.

I tried to contact the supplier on many occasions and they don't seem to care, they think I'm a whinging customer and have not tried to rectify the problem in any manner.

I rarely use the Bbq as I have been embarrassed on a few occasions when I've had gatherings and the stainless steel grills did not heat enough to cook sausages and meat .I had to finish them off in my oven!!

VERY VERY poor value for money!! – Looks good. That's about it. We have put up with this Bbq (SC-60) for about 8 months now. Right from the beginning, inadequate heat. SS grill bars are hollow, therefore will never get hot enough, plus they warped straight away. The plastic knobs are all melting from heat, particularly the one in the Wok Burner. Stupid idea, putting it in with… Read more

the burner, can't touch it when in use. This is an unacceptable risk of being burnt. It should be on the outside. Also, igniter for Wok Burner didn't work from the start, got replaced after chasing up company a couple of times. New one doesn't work either. Complained about the lack of heat with the hollow stainless grill, the company just responded by suggesting we pay even more money and invest in a cast iron grill. Pathetic.

DO NOT be fooled by the good looks, invest your money in a quality product that is fit for purpose, and worth the money. Not some cheap Chinese import being mascaraded as an Australian product.

Sunco 4burner BBQ – I have had this BBQ for around 4 months and find it excellent. It cooks evenly and does a mean steak. Very even heat distribution. The Wok burner is excellent too not just a cooker on the side it really works for stir fries and Chow meins. It cleans up well not too much fuss. Very sturdy with a wll insulated hood top and happy with the price paid. Got it for a good price, good even heat distribution. Very solid hood keeps an even temperature None

Budget BBQ – Having just bought this... used it three times now.......The grill bars melt so bad they flop / droop down, burners seem to be un-even in there flame / heat. A bunnings or whatever would do the job at a cheaper price, should be around $500 - $600 with the cover and rotisserie thrown in. If i had the extra money i now know what i should of bought,… Read more
